  • yea, for drawing and painting its ok. but try to use that pen as u would a mouse and u start to regret that u ever bought one.

why wacom would try to push such ideas on people i havent got a clue...

  • Can you use a pen with the CTT460 in programmes like illustrator?

  • Can someone answer 78097? He has EXACTLY what I wanna know.

  • Bamboo. My pen is not working on my tablet, and when I try to open up my properties it won't open.

  • Does the size of the tablet really matter?

Example: If I have a small screen and I have a large or medium tablet, will it still work? Someone Please reply me with the @ thingy.

  • @thebrawlgamerxD yes it will work, and... the bigger the tablet, the easier and better the drawing. nuff said. lol

  • @soronefabrik1 I got medium OwO

  • im getting one of these for drawing and animating but how on earth are you meant to make things look good when your drawing on a blank sheet and its showing up on your screen? surely it would make your work really inaccurate but if someone can explain?

  • @davelikescake1 I thought the same thing too, but my friend that has a Wacom Bamboo explained to me that you really learn where you're drawing after enough experience with using it.

The first thing you want to do is to get better with drawing and animating with a mouse first. Then, when you feel confident enough, switch over to a tablet.

  • @PwnedStory oh god not mouse work :P that aint for me XD i'll just super practise when i get a bamboo :P and thanks by the way :D

  • @davelikescake1 No problem

  • @PwnedStory and i was considering an intuos :/ but they cost so much id probably only be able to get the small (im getting animation software, flash cs4 etc too) and ive just measured out the overall screen size and its tiny!

  • @davelikescake1 What I've heard about the Intuos series (at least the Intuos4) is that the pen nibs wear down faster and it's very easy to scratch.

I don't know if you know this, but most every tablet from Wacom include some drawing or drafting programs with it.

I'm also looking in the market for a tablet too, so I'm doing as much research and reading as I can on which one is the best to buy. The Bamboo series seem to offer the best results for a low amount of cost.

  • @PwnedStory ah but im not specifically using it for drawing or sketching. i need it specifically for animation purposes. ive just taken a look at the intuos since people keep saying to me that its like a seperate screen that you draw on, but it isnt a screen?! wacoms sites completely useless though. they try to make it sound fancy and you cant get a word of what its saying. i realised thats the cintiq and apparently there are some major color issues with it. i just want it all in bullet points.

  • also the cintiq is insanely expensive :P far too much for me :P

  • I know some people that thought this was a Tablet Computer and purchased it. :P

  • my pen wont work, why?

  • @wacom wat is the cheapest price?

  • Is there an option

to connect the BAMBOO touch tablets

    with wireless USB?

    thus have wireless BAMBOO tablets?

     Thanks!

  • @Already1have I think not, as that would make it less precise.. but It might be possible

  • Hi, what is the dimension of the active pen area of this tablet in centimetres? Will it be wide enough for digital art (Concept arts)?

  • @ParkourRockStar It can scale to the size of your desktop if that's what you mean. It's amazingly precise, and quite cheap. I'd say just get one, you'd be amazed what it can do.

  • I am using it right now!!!!!

  • i have a bamboo pen i luv it but having problems no.1 no buttons no 2.no erser :(

  • would this be for standard users or for professional artists, for example creating comics through photoshop, will this be perfect for it or would i need cintiq?

  • How is power supplied to the wireless pen?

  • @MassFragment I think it has to do with magnets and mechanical switches but I am not sure it is quite confusing i must say.

  • How is power supplied to the pen?

  • Hi Wacom can you tell me how to get pressure at bamboo pen and i am using photoshoo too draw

  • Hi Wacom, when drawing on the Bamboo Tablet can you see what your drawing on the tablet or only on your computer screen?

  • @smile32441 watevr u draw shows up on the screen

  • WHAT IS KEYBOARD WITH CAPSLOCK INPUT?

  • Does the pen tips wear out? If so, how often do I need to change them and what does it cost to change/buy a new pen tip? I don't understand how the tips can wear out when it is a "digital pencil", or what I should call it.. :/

  • quick question, if I buy bamboo touch only, later on if I buy the pen can I use it in the bamboo touch?

  • can this thing recognize handwriting..can i go to microsoft and write something and get it translated in typed words.

  • can this thing recognize handwriting..can i go to microsoft and write something and get it translated in typed words.

  • I just ordered a Bamboo Pen, and I really hope it's large enough for me to be able to draw properly. When I bought a Bamboo tablet last year before this second generation thing, it was a bit small, and white, so it was easily dirtied and it ended up being a waste. All I'm really interested in is the drawing capabilities. I hope it's worth the money.

  • wow amazing

  • Which bamboo tablet is best for drawing?

  • @Sabby19981 I have the Bamboo Pen and its great for drawing. It even comes with drawing software, but it will work with programs.

  • is the bamboo touch compatible with Windows Journal?

  • Wacom Bamboo CTL 460 supports touch too?

  • I recently bought a Bamboo pen from Best buy, and all I can say IS WOW! I just love it! Installing was a breeze, very accurate and sensitive. Picks up every movement I do with the pen. (And I love the bonus Corel Painter)

    Wacom#1 Tablet maker!

  • Thank you , i can't wait to get it

  • I just bought a Bamboo Pen tablet a few days ago and it works amazing after you tweak some of the settings to your liking. I already noticed the nib I'm using is starting to wear down but not too much, it comes with 3 extras anyway. On another note, yea it works in most programs like Eztoons, Flash, GIMP (once you fiddle with it), Zbrush, Google Sketchup, etc. works with everything I've tryed so far.

  • i AM a 2D SOFTWARE USER NEED TO KNOW IF THIS WILL WORK FOR 2D APPLICATIONS LIKE TOON BOOM AND FLASH, THSNKS

  • @jamalanimation Yes, it is very good for those uses on mac osx.

  • how can I mark uo documents like the example of excel??? I own a mac

  • how can I mark documents like the example of excel???

  • ok i bought a bamboo touch at bestbuy and they told me i could just use a ds stylest, which isnt the case ,and then they told me i could buy a pen for it online but im not sure if it will work for the touch, so can i get a pen for the touch?

  • this looks kool but expensive. i havent checked out the price yet though.

  • WHERE DO U BUY THIS??

  • @sunispretty electronic stores or online. Try to find your local BestBuy, or frys. Go online to bestbuy to find your nearest.

  • I got a Bamboo pen tablet and i want to say ITS AWESOME! Very happy with it. Works perfectly in Windows 7

  • will it work on all the adobe programs, paintbrush for mac and one very stupid question could you play games with it ??? this is all on mac

  • hey im looking on buying a

    Wacom Bamboo Pen CTL-460EN

i want it specifically for digital art, and drawing.

what im asking is it good for higher standard graphic art or is it for more basic drawing ? if so what product would you recommend ?

also this one doesn't have the touch properties right ? (although the touch would be very useful.)

  • hmmm which is good for me? im a beginner... and i want to practice in my drawing skills, photoshop ,flash etc... but i have limited budget? what's best for me?

  • hi, wacom bamboo pen and touch,.. is compatiblility with 3d studio max, maya, zbrush, mudbox, photoshop, illustrator, corel draw ?? .. thanx! =)

  • Yes, you will have compatibility with these applications and many more.

The extent of functionality will vary by software, but you've listed many of Wacom's strongest software partners here.

  • This device is really great, i love drawing and this way of drawing is not only helpful, but also good for environment because of the Non-battery pen

  • Does this only work with MAC computers?!

  • No, the Bamboo works on both Mac and PC computers.

  • WHY SOME DONT HAVE THE BUTTONS? O_O

  • To keep the price point low, we opted to remove the buttons from Bamboo Pen.

  • wacom, it's confusing that you have a Bamboo Pen, Bamboo Touch and Bamboo Pen & Touch. Does the B.Touch not respond to a pen and the B.Pen not respond to touch? Is it more expensive to combine the different technology into one device?

  • Good comment. In the US, we have 5 different devices, so we're sorry if there's confusion.

Our research showed that there was still a market for "pen-only" products (without touch). Similarly, there were instances where people might be able to use "touch-only" products (without the pen). The unfortunate thing for a customer is if they buy one of these for the low price point of $69, then they cannot add the other at a later time.
