Mashine and Kore 2 are the very Best Softwear/hardware out there !!
I've used a lot of different setup along the past 10 years (hardware & software) but since I got them both, making music has never been so easier & creative !!
I think every one interest in it should try both with the setup explain in this video to really see what's all it is about .
By the way, Thanks for the video :)
PS : Kore 2 must be with bought with the controller !!
continued .... I am a long time MPC user and I was anxious to get maschine but its limited. on an MPC 2500 you have almost unlimited number of programs that can be loaded at once and those can each hold 64 sounds each. Then on top of that it has 4 midi outs to control up to 64 other plug ins or hardware synths programs. So im finding it hard to use maschine in the same way. any thoughts?
nice video, but I have a couple questions. How are you using the stand alone large size maschine view within KORE 2? I was checking this setup out and The limitation I found and maybe Im missing something because I am a long time Hardware user but here is the issue. controlling other vsts with Maschine you are limited to the 16 pads in the bank. example I see you have large battery kits but you cannot trigger all the sound in your battery kits with machine as controller....?
Im using Logic 9 and Maschine cant talk midi with AU. I was told that in order to do so I need to use Kore 2 and Maschine as a VST. would you suggest that I purchase Mashine? I really was disappointed when I found out about these issues with Logic and Maschine after the fact.
@Yulfinator Definately! You won't be disappointed and there are plenty of ways to sequence inside of Logic with Maschine. I don't think you'll find any serious limitation.
Ok i got it now..i can actually run kore 2 as a plugin in ableton then run all my plug ins especially machine through kore and make patterns in machine then trigger scene's in machine..
Did you run into any problems with maschine inside of kore 2? There are a few glitches I'm experiencing & I'm wondering if anyone else has had these problems.
1. Editing in the piano roll isn't working properly. It won't let me highlight over a bunch of notes anymore to copy or paste them.
2. Sometime s there is a ton of latency or compete lack of communication when hitting the pads .
i'm thinking about getting the Kore 2 to put it aside my Maschine. Would you recommend the version with the controller or would it be ok with just the software? i mean, can't i control KORE 2 with Maschine as well?
I'd recommend with the controller. It is a superb-feeling piece, great knobs and plenty more control then you would ever get with Maschine. As soon as you focus on a sound, the controls are there. It would NOT work as intended by using the Maschine controller.
you can control it with a mouse and save 200 bucks, iuse the software faithfully.... An d I have a question for the vid poster... does maschine support total recall with the midi out. What i mean is after you make the beat using the vsts and midi out, if you open the beat back up does it automatically bring everything back up?

Great video man. So this means I can get my machine to sequence any core sound. This would be ideal for like playing and jamming without a full DAW.
Just a couple of questions though...
1. Is it easy to use maschine to sequence kore sounds FX and Filter parameters from maschine patterns?
2. Is Komplete worth the price upgrade? Or is Kore 2 good enough on its own? How easy is it to make completely original sounds in Kore 2?

Noob question. Why would you pair Kore 2 with maschine?? For more sounds. Correct??
paragone3 2 years ago
WHY NOT? You get the best of both worlds. Maschine loads seamlessly inside of Kore to control everything!
mcsg27 2 years ago
And on top of that you don't need any additional sequencer softwares. (I've got the maschine, still waiting for Kore 2).
