unhealthy dog food (Such as Alpo, pedigree, science diet,Eukanuba etc...) makes them fart. same as people. Since I start feeding raw meat, bone veg. and 1 TBS of yogurt they do not do that anymore. And other problems are gone too :)

@dunno414 Any dog farts. I have a lab mix and he lets em rip and will clear a room. But I also have a french bulldog, and he farts and burps all the time. Dogs with short noses, like bostons, pugs, and bulldogs tend to be very gassy because when they eat and drink they take in a lot of air. ;)
