  • Wasn't this at Sub-Pops "Lamefest" therefore most bands under the label played together...

  • magnifica

  • 240P IS HOW REAL MEN LISTEN TO THEIR GRUNGE

  • @user3182 real men don't use the internet for grunge. we still use casette!!

  • @blindingsun ive recorded 240p-videos to casette!

  • mudhoney should be made into a breakfast spread

  • jesus they don't even sound alike

  • Uff! las viejas bandas de seattel lo mejor!!

  • Mark Arm is a great singer and Mudhoney kick your fuckin ass...

  • @FLoHipPieBerlin Mudhoney kick every people fuckin ass...

  • @High5Brah Then go listen to that mediocre fart and let us have our fun, soccerdad

  • how did he just because he had long blonde hair.

  • I've seen them recently. They became SO PROFESSIONAL, if you understand what I mean. I guess it's natural. We all grow older. They are great.

  • I'm tired of people bitching about Nirvana copying Mudhoney. Who gives a shit? Nirvana never claimed to have created grunge. They were just better at it, so they were more popular. Kurt never made it a secret that he was a huge fan of these guys.

  • @fishers138 I agree. He really liked them and always referred to them in his interviews. Don't forget that he was just a young guy, I'm not saying ordinary, but he was one of "us". Of course he had his personal inspirations, Mudhoney were an inspiration for many people back then. People blame him for being famous, that's crazy. He never tried to achieve fame, it wasn't his fault.

  • @fishers138 I think its more of the hypocrisy of making an example of other bands of the day for copying others and selling out when meanwhile everyone including him where doing it. I guess its all about how well you can force your will on others. BTW Nirvana is one of my favorite bands I am just keeping it real and showcasing that everyone does things they give other people shit about but again it is what it is. When compared to nowadays where everyone sells out regardless. At least its good

  • @fishers138 you are absolutly correct although I believe Mudhoney was around before Nirvana formed check out the book Nirvana by Everett True. Some great information of how things were with the whole grunge thing!

  • @fishers138 Here, here. If it wasn't for Mudhoney, Nirvana would never had made it .

By the way, I was at this festival. Good mud fight just as these were coming on stage...

  • @fishers138 More notably Mudhoney, wasn't the first to do it. Mark Arm's first band, Green River. Personally, I don't like the punk version of grunge. It just doesn't do it for me. The mellow lyrics and apathetic vocals sound better in contrast with the particular style of guitar associated with grunge.

  • @fishers138 Amen

  • @fishers138 nirvana isn't better than mudhoney, they just were popular, and that's sucks.

  • @intoleravle Not at all. Nirvana WAS better than Mudhoney, Kurt Cobain was one of the greatest song writers of the 20th century. Dave Grohl was a better drummer than Dan Peters, Kurt was a better guitarist than Mark Arm was and Krist Novoselic was a better bassist than Guy. Their songs were catchier, had more feeling in them and that's why they got famous. Back in those days people just didn't "get" popular, you actually had to have something. Nirvana did.

  • @slayerrules114 Being famous is no proof of being better. You can not measure music, be it a style you like or a style you don't like. Everything depends on taste. Nirvana was SURE great, but no one can tell they were greater than Mudhoney or any other band, because musical taste is subjective. I love both bands equally, and both of them deserve the same amount of respect for all the songs they have created :D

  • @fishers138 better at it? fuck no

  • @High5Brah hahah! You come on here and say that you don't like it but then call me a poser when I poke fun at you? Okay, who is the real poser? I'm on here because I like what I hear. How did you wind up here in the first place?

  • @High5Brah You just dont have the highbrow taste you need to appreciate world class music that penetrates the per-views of your world...

  • SUCK ME DRY.

  • Everyone quit fucking arguing and enjoy the goddamn music!

  • @High5Brah why?

  • @High5Brah WTF

    ARE YOU FCKING SERIOUS ?

  • @High5Brah WTF IS UR PROBLEM? COCK SUCKER!

  • What can I say besides just awesome.

  • What can I say....just awesome.

  • just because there were 2 awesome grunge bands with front men that look kind of like eachother, doesnt mean that one copied the other.

nirvana and mudhoney are both awesome.

  • fuck why do people have to compare everything, fuck off and listen to the music you assholes.

  • this is the good stuff!!! super fuzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!

  • BECHOVA....... THE NEW NIRVANA IN BRAZIL......THE GRUNGE IS BACK.......FUN...CHEKIN IN YOUTUBE..

  • @bechovaandnirvana WE NEED ANOTHER GOOD GRUNGE/PUNK BAND NOT ANOTHER NIRVANA

  • @getyourpizzanow Nirvana WAS a good punk/grunge band, they were amazing

  • @PBANDSNOW ya dont get me wrong but im so tired of people saying the next nirvana the truth is there can never be another nirvana

  • @getyourpizzanow Well in this day an age where you have to spend a week trying to find a good band, when in the 70's, 80's, and 90's you just had to look in front of you, i think we need another nirvana, another Cobain, maybe even another Clash, i always loved Joe Strummer

  • SUCK YOU DRY, SUCK YOU DRY!!!

  • I've never heard this Nirvana song! Thanks for uploading :D Oh geez wait a minute... this is not Nirvana xO

    Love both bands :P

  • im in this crowd just next to the mudbath!

  • soo im on the Y generation????

  • Some impressive hard hitting drumming here. Also I'm reminded of Kurt Cobains quote "I borrow little pieces of other peoples personalities to form my own". I think he owed a lot of his sense of style to Mark Arm.

  • suck you dry! love it mother fuck! why why why are all band sshit now?

  • @Imhappy70 you just need to look for the "good" bands, try small clubs all the great bands started there.

  • Hey we play our own acoustic songs in Nirvana/Seether/AIC style.Feel free to check us out.

Its worth for all the non haters ;)

    peace

  • Well this generation is screwd because it started off with justin beiber hopefully the next will be atleast half as good as the 90's

  • Mark was first / Cobain two :) but I like two man's :)

  • @AnnCSleightTV1 kurt looks like that guy

  • @lovestothrash wow he really does

  • Well practically all new bands from 2000 - 2009 suck balls. But hopefully this decade will be better.

  • @hgyture2347 gonna help make it better? cant expect others to make it better for us :/

  • @Jinxedwithme Well i sure would like to help make it better!

  • @hgyture2347 lets go then :D

  • @hgyture2347 holy shit, we should start a band

  • compare this to seether creed bullshit

  • @76mgambero you are cool sir

  • not heard this before ,, i like @.

  • what is this song about?

The lyrics sounds rather violent and the way it is song sounds very harsh and violent.

    Iam confused.

  • @sailornaruto39 Is it not autotuned enough ?

  • @ChaChinnngK ummm what? that doesn't answer my question.

  • @sailornaruto39 all shall reveal itself ind ue time my friend

  • i cant wait to see these guys this september!

  • hardcore nirvanna wannabes

  • @logansibley22 What the fuck they were around years before nirvana and they always looked like that and sounded like that

  • @logansibley22

    Mudhoney was before Nirvana...

  • @TheGuitarProphet

oo,, sorry never new, see this guy isnt being an ass whole abought it

  • Comment removed

  • @logansibley22

everyone aloud to have an opinon:)

  • @logansibley22 you know what ? you don't know a shit.

  • @canorjohn

    see,thats rude,

  • @logansibley22 if that were true then almost every grunge band would be nirvana wannabes

  • @logansibley22

Oh I know these guys personally, and they are all friends with the Nirvana guys. They were all jamming with each other, and playing grunge. None of them are wannabes, well no more than the rest of us.

    - Marcel

  • its so depressing to know i missed this wonderful generation. im 14, my peers are ridiculously closed-minded and have no idea what real music is.

  • @SamsTown68

I'm with you good sir, I'm 16 and know very very few people who listen to music, the rest listen to horrible noises..>.>

  • @phadinglove i refuse to listen to the radio because its all substance-less shit trying to pull itself off as art

  • @SamsTown68 im right there with ya man. im 15 and hardly anyone in my school knows what grunge is... and even worse is that most of those people only know grunge because of nirvana. it pisses me off man half the school wears flannel and practacly no one knows about l7, mudhoney, love battery, ect.

  • @omedicius i love you why dont you go to my school haha i know exactly what you mean people are fuck heads! i cant stand when people wear flannels that dont know about the grunge movement. dont get me wrong i love nirvana , but there is so much more to that culture then just them

  • @spudzer08 shitty racist

  • This is such a hard singing song but mark sings it so naturally.

  • The main riff sounds like the riff from breed.. seriously..

  • thats live at reading?

  • i agree with all the comments that

. talk about how kick ass gen. X and grunge is

.Talk about how music today ( mainstream) sucks now

  • @crazeeladie lol Kinda funny but sadly true! :(

  • @crazeeladie I'm from the "generation WTF"

but don't judge all the people from this generation.

I'm sorry for the people that only likes beyonces or rihannas BUT I'M FUCKING PROUD BECAUSE I KNOW REAL MUSIC!

  • @crazeeladie amen my friend...

  • kurt is like him a lot

  • I love this group!!!

  • there would be no nirvana without mudhoney and the melvins

  • true~!

  • @goodvibesallround the pixies were his favorite band

  • @goodvibesallround yeah and how did you figure it out. It's actually Nirvana who made the way for all the other "grunge" bands

  • @6aokan Wrong you fucking moron. Nirvana just got famous.. they never 'made the way' for everyone else.. who ACTUALLY gives a flying fuck about fame?! you come to a song for the MUSIC, not because the person is 'famous'

  • @Jinxedwithme first go swear at your mother not at some random person you know, second if no gives a shit about fame why do you seem to bother with my "moronity"on who's famous and who's not?

  • @Jinxedwithme kurt didn't even want to be famous, he just wanted to get good music across to people.

  • @Jinxedwithme So no one came to the Beatles because they were famous?

  • @stopthrm Re-read my comment " you come to a song for the MUSIC, not because the person is 'famous'"

  • this song rocks.

  • You lucky S.O.B. =) I would do anything to have been a teen during Generation X

  • i would literally cut my hand off with a butcher knife if i could be a teen during gen x. defenitely worth it. music nowadays lost its meaning. kinda sad

  • im with you man, that wouldve been the best years of my life.

  • @StabbyFork

I hear you, gen x grunge always means something to me when I listen to it. I often find myself comparing the lyrics with stuff that happens to me =)

    Grunge is life
