it should have a front facing camera(duh), usb and sd card slot(even micro sd). Also, they should combine Mac OS X with iOS to make it a portable computer in its own right, where you could use Mac softwares, and also use run of the mill apps. just an idea, but that would be pretty sweet.

the motorola xoom already has a lot over the ipad 2 : front and back facing camera, camera quality and image resolution is outstanding, (usb drive and possibly a future dvd drive, and finally a price much lower than what apple is offering. dont get me wrong i am an apple fan, but i think its bullshit that apple is doing this with the ipad to just achieve greater profits later with coming out with this very basic version.

Think about this: 1. the iPad's screen is big enough that it really doesn't need a retina display. It's like going to a drive in theater and expecting the screen to be a retina display. 2. The retina isn't cheap, which would drive up the cost of the iPad.

Retina display on the iPad will NOT happen. For it to still be classed as a retina display, the dpi would have to be higher than that of the Apple Cinema Display.

One thing that i think would be amazing about the ipad is if they added multi use. Like you would be able to bring up maybe two web screens at once, or something of that nature. Or be able to bring up a word document and a screen. I also think that if they added a really good recorder to the thing, i believe then that more kids will buy it and will start using it for schools to record classes.
