Oh that's rich-Oakland Fire criticizing another department. This the department responsible for the largest dollar amount property loss from a fire; Can you say Oakland hills fire? Your an idiot.
ok maybe there might have been every where but you could just pop hte door right off.....and why in the hell do you guys where your air tanks out side
I am familiar with this shit stain they call a house and I can't thank the Dept enough for letting it burn. It was a clutterfuck and you could not go interior if you tried. No room whatsoever! Salvage at this residence would be cruel and unusual punishment to the neighbors! Yes it appears that there were mistakes made but lets learn from it instead of talking crap. We improve through training, not by belittling others over Youtube!!
I have no problems with someone making the decision to go defensive. The structure is a total loss. If someone wants to were there SCBA in any atmosphere I have not problem with it. Well thought out tactics will get the people home everytime over "going in because that is what we do" Old school kills people and has no place in todays fire loading and structures (although this structure appears to not be light weight. How many people have we seen fall through light weight roofs in Cali?
Are you Friggin kidding me??!! Stang gun into the front window??? What about interior attack??? What a JOKE. You should be ashamed to call yourselves firefighters. Come to
Due to the clutter inside, the door would not open all the way. There were paths about 2 feet wide to every room. Power line was hanging above the front doorway and all residents were out.
So let me get this straight, "the door would not open all the way"??? So I guess there is no other way of egress huh? So it is better to cause total fire and water damage rather than find another way in and contain the fire. Nice wearing a SCBA from the stang gun too. I apologize to anyone watching this video, this is a poor example of "firefighting" and let me assure you this is NOT how it is done anywhere else in America. I am embarrassed to be associated with these clowns.
Shut the fuck up, maybe they were wearing air packs because they were going to enter but then decided to just stay defensive. This is a very professional department, you can't come to such horrible conclusions just by watching a 1:25 second video.
Well obviously you are not a firefighter and would not understand why this is a JOKE. If somehow you happen to be a firefighter, turn your badge in the next day and go back to whatever job you had before. I have seen this video before on other sites and every "Real" firefighter jokes about this.
dude i dont see how my comment offended you look at your comment and try to see the humor in it.. how could you!??! there are sooo many dumbass people on this website so how in the hell is noone going to find your comment offending?!?!?
Hey DYi5, Mr. tough guy I'm better than everyone else... Let me take a wild guess you've been in the fire service for how long? 2-3 years max? Think you know it all and your department is the best? Why don't you think before you speak? You don't know all the circumstances for the decision that was made. If we are all going to be judgmental right off the bat, how's the hiring process going over there? Oh and the Oakland Hills, no mistakes made there right? Don't be so ignorant.
wrong, wrong and wrong....Man I must of hit it right on the head to get your panties in a bunch. What does the hiring process have to do with basic firefighting skills. If you are gonna talk shit, at least be man enough to state the dept. you work for. Yeah, you're right the Oakland hills fire could have been avoided if we some how built a wind killing device. Since there isn't one, that is why it took off so fast If you know any basics of firefighting, you would know wind is a big factor. Duh.
take this off please
