  • i wonder how much would the exact same bike cost if it was still manufactured today...

  • Ahhh..loved the days when the earth was green and the skies were blue and fuel was cheap :)

  • Pedophile cop wants a date with your son... on a Honda.

  • I love this ad lmaooo...but WHY CAN'T THEY STILL SELL THEIR CLASSIC STYLE BIKES!!!! D: D:

  • lol, good things happen on a honda -___-

  • Could Travolta also be the guy singing on this commercial? Sounds sort of like him..

  • Cheesy

  • Good Things Happen On A Honda.

Not if some kid with a brand new GSX R 600 runs into your loved 600 Shadow VT.

  • Yeah, had to look at that awesome cameltoe a few times, gotta love the 70's for that! lol! Ride on!

  • Huge cameltoe @ 0:18

  • @993ti Good Eye ! Classic polyester toe .

  • Excellent piece of work! Thank you very much for Sharing!

What a way of meeting people and get to see their talent. At first was reluctant being on youtube, but getting to do this has brought me into the houses of some very special people. You are one of them. Life; isn't it wonderful!

Keep up the good work. Hope You Are Having A Splendid Day!

    A New Friend

  • SO COOL ! Thank you for this video!

  • There was another Honda TV commercial from this era, featured a song "Get yourself a Honda" I have found the audio version, has anyone seen the TV spot?

  • wild hogs

  • I don't remember this commercial. The Dad driving the station wagon played Perky in "The Fortune Cookie!"

  • very good ad.

  • I'm sure John forget about doing this one!

  • did anyone else notice that? he only paid a few quarters for his gas

  • @Ditre yeah. um. gas didn't use to cost very much and you can't fit very much in a little bike tank. 75 cents was probably a lot to spend to fill that tank up then.

  • @Ditre Hmm, it's almost like that was the point they were making. It was hardly subliminal.

  • I love the look of that old film stock.

  • was that Phill\ Hartman at

    :50?

  • i had a 73 or 74 cb 350 i ran that bike very hard had over 20000 miles on it very good bike

  • I love that 1971 Plymouth Sport Suburban station wagon!

  • "obvious creepy pedophile kidnapper" or just a guy with his kid? People sure are quick to assume the worst these days. Riding in the back of a wagon was very common back then. Somehow we all survived without the $200 car seats.

  • what model is that first motorcycle?

  • looks like a xl 250 s

  • So the cops stops the obvious creepy pedophile kidnapper only to return the teddy bear, ignoring the fact that he has an unsecured child in the back and his shifty behavior? Damn, the 70s were interesting. That said, I wouldn't mind having that John Travolta's Honda.

  • Gotta love the kid just waving at the cop out of the back of the wagon, lol. Even more when you realize that no one watching it back then would have seen anything amiss.

  • the music gives me a headache

  • You seem as biased as I am. However, your info is erroneous. Honda bikes are very easy to fix but that doesn't matter because they are just as reliable. Honda is the maker of the first SUPERBIKE!! CB750!!!! Four in line Single Overhead Cam!!!! They also made the highest selling motorcycle of all time. OK, it was the Cub, but still, that's a lot of motorcycles.

  • wow!

  • is the guy in the station wagon Ron Jeremy's dad ? lol

  • yeah...thats how it was....a coupla a quarters an ya gotta full tank......you could ride all dang day....lol sighhhhhh the 70's....

  • He was just starting out and it was work. wonder what he got paid ? you do meet the nicest people on a honda

  • "Good things happen on a Honda " hahaha :D

  • My first bike was an 82' CB125 also. I got 122mpg out of it. Only thing more incredible than that is that was with my 220 pound caboose on it.

  • My first bike was a Honda. It ran forever. Now I have a BMW 1200 gs that I wouldn't give for any other bike.

  • My first bike was an '82 Honda CB125s, and you really could fill it up on change. I can't tell you how many times I scrounged in the couch :)

  • Very nice!!!

  • Before Scientology killed him and replaced him with a robot.

  • Hondas were voted the #1 bikes by Road and Track. Perhaps if Travolta ever gets bloated, tired, and loses his sense of individuality, he will be ready for a Harley. Personally, I would rather be riding than fixing my bike or looking for pieces that vibrated off .

  • ..... i'm gonna buy me a honda now

  • you meet the nicest people on a honda

  • because they do have the egos of HD riders ;)

  • That's how John started getting around as he said in an interview on the Oprah Winfrey show, while he was promoting "Wild Hogs". He still balances his time between flying his planes and riding his bikes.

  • That guy at the end was Ron Jeremy's dad.

  • Does anyone else think that the above comment sounds really sarcastic?

  • lol look's like a NERD!

  • Had to be from 1972 or later, the bike Travolta was riding looked like an mt 125 or 250, which were introduced in 1973.

  • @mehlert52 That is what it looked like to me. I had a 1975 MT 125, Honda's first street two-stroke.

  • @mehlert52 That is what it looked like to me. I had a 1975 MT 125, Honda's first street two-stroke.

  • Ohhh!!! John is so young!!! John is lovely!!! john is my idol of my two years old, im 22, im dedicated to the dance for John, my dream is stay whit him, SPAIN LOVES YOU JOHN

  • good things happen on a honda yeah when you're ryding on a honda with john travolta it can't be bad!! he is so cute in this commercial!

  • lol i know, right?

  • It's from 1969-72; I'm not sure of the exact year.

  • @twistyrider its from 1974-1976 because thats an mt-250 which was only produced between 1974-1976

  • Great old commercial! Any idea what year this is from?

  • Wow, my older brother talks about the days when he regularly rode around in the back of our parents' stationwagon, free to bounce around with the beach bags and jumper-cables.

Nowadays, I'd be locked up if I didn't have my kids strapped into their boosters in the back seat...

  • I remember driving to the beach with my mom and her friends and all their kids packed into a station wagon. 5 adults, 13 kids, no seat belts. Those were the days.

  • I thought we were the only family that did that only we were crammed in a Levi's special edition Gremilin (moms can deny it either i got the photo)

  • very nice - I can almost hear him sayin "oh my gawd mista kattair" when he bumps the post.

  • Thats an awesome commercial, how the heck did you find this?

  • Connections at Honda corporate.

  • @twistyrider Where were those connections when I was looking for the Honda V-65 commercial with Jay Gleason 15 years ago and could not find it. Then around 2 years ago it ended up on youtube and I almost dropped over. Oh by the way this commercial is a great post.
