  • Simultaneously eating Lindt's 90% cocoa bar and hearing that 2 out of 5 plantations are modern day slavery, made this chocolate more bitter than what it was.

  • Slave Masters Come In All Colors.

  • thanks to all that European world history discovery bullshit this is what the result is, every one influenced by the Western world feeding off that attitude, now we are all fucked up

  • We really need to take a moral stand and boycott any country that's not cracking down on this crap. How is it we're still putting sanctions on Cuba but we're not doing that?!

  • As good as I think this documentary is, it really only scartched the surface. There was nothing about human trafficking, which helps maintain the sex slave industry in developed nations; nothing about child sex slaves in Asia; nothing about child slaves involved in making saris in India.

7 Reais is really nothing, modern slavery still exists in the likes of Brazil, in the sweatshops in Indonesia, even in the kiwifruit orchards of New Zealand.

  • @57worldwide

That's the documentary and plan to eradicate you must make. Just as one book does not cover all details, one documentary is unable to cover all details.

  • everyone's a slave - one way or another

  • "The slave trade is the ruling principal of my people. It is the source & glory of all their wealth. The mother lulls the child to sleep w/ notes of triumph over an enemy reduced to slavery."

    Black african king Gazo, 1840's.

  • @TribeTPaul Where there is misery there is a Reptilian Illuminate feeding off it's energy! We've been mislead to believe humans are cruel destroying everything we touch - will we poison the food we eat, air we breathe - are we so suicidal that we are willing to ruin the only planet we have or, is there an unseen dark force at work? I've seen men true nature and it's not evil. We are a caring loving species - look into the face of a child - evil does not live there,so why dose it live in us?

  • @MrNapoleonHardridge There is an assumption that evil is the sole cause of suffering. It isn't evil. It is indifference - those who don't care about others, because it's not us suffering. Some questions I have heard include 'why spend money/time on other countries/people?' and this is why suffering exists.

People aren't cruel for the sake of being cruel. People exploit other people for their own greed, their own material gain, etc.

There is no unseen force. We do what we allow ourselves to do.

  • It's a long chain of slavery. From head (world Bank) to toe (rural farmers).

  • So the IMF wanted the cocoa exports. I see.

  • What most Americans fail to realize is that we are also slaves. The Federal Reserve bank, the Internal Revenue Service, and fiat monetary system exist to pirate our wealth and hijack our representation. By taxing Americans and having our representation auctioned off to lobbyists and campaign financiers, we are handicapped from enacting positive political change. This is taxation without representation. This is enslavement.

  • This world is a fucked up place...
