Bluegutter, I think the expression solo effort is a bit demeaning. This a is a first class live performance of a beautiful song, from Lyn Paul, a first class singer.
This is from a recording of an early Les Dawson show. The legendary british comedian can be glimpsed at the beginning of the video introducing Lyn Paul.
I was a 13 year old living in Suva, Fiji when the production crew arrived in town. I used to hang out at the Suva Yacht Club and watch the filming.
Playing around with Joseph and Deborah during downtime in filming and having the great pleasure of sitting behind camera with Gregory Peck and his wife and talking about life in Fiji was indeed a most amazing time in my life.
I hope the sad memories will start to fade in time and all that will be left will be all the good memories that you had with her. Thats the healing part of our minds.
I think Lyn's unique voice is showcased on this song and don't think she was promoted enough once leaving The New Seekers. Yep 'Philpotts24' I still have the 45 (and lucky enough to have a turntable still)!
Great to hear this lovely song again - my ol' 45 is still around....but no turntable, lol. Another great Barry/Black songm beautifully sung. I remember going to see 'The Dove' at the State, Kilburn in 1973ish......
fabulous. I love lyn and she really does sound better now! She is doing a show in spain that is going down a treat with packed houses. See lyn paul website

This song has lovely memories and sad memories for me in equal measure.
As a 12 yr old boy, my nan took me to see this film, it was the last film I saw with her, she tragically passed away months later at 47.
It's a beautiful song.

I'm pretty sure this was from "Sez Les" in 1974. Fantastic - I only wish it could have been the whole track! Flawless performance from Lyn as per.
