  • love it!

  • how old are you in this video?

  • @Lavandarocas Read the Description (:

  • This recording doesn't do him justice.

  • great clean performance! great b to c# trill, that's a tough trill to play confidently. i was wondering how you play the polyphonics, playing a melody along with the G trill. could you give me some advice?

  • Yeah you do not need a reed to be harder just to get a good sound you want a size reed that is easy, but not to easy, when you play and creates an even dark, rich, bright , heavy, light, etc whenever you need to sound a certain way or whatever your preference is. I play on a size 3 FOF Gonzales reeds and for my Eb I play on a 3 regular cut Gonzales reeds. Which I actually have to shave down sometimes with a file. Also the type of mouthpiece helps with everything as well. You are great Han Kim!

  • wow, that was amazing, and really fun! :]

  • just wondering...whats the difference between having the bell and not besides sound quality and not being able to play some notes? this song is really cool :)

  • or you could take off some resistance on the reed by putting it further down on the mouthpiece. lovely tone overall, but you want a harder reed for more full altissimo/high clarion notes. wonderful control when you take clarinet parts off!

  • since hes still young a harder reed would probably be too hard for him and just ruin his playing quality. you dont use differnet size reeds for types of sound. you use them the fit your capabilities. i play a 3 vandoren v12 reed and would love to play a 4 since it provides better sound but i just cant play that hard of a reed yet.

  • thats so not true. The higher you go doesn't mean a thing besides looks for a certain type of sound. Who told you such a thing. Anyone who is capable of playing a 5 doesn't mean they need to, because that's a very thick and reedy sound. I played at 5, went to 4 and am very happy with the sound of that thickness. Also I play on 56 rue lepic vandorens.

  • good playing, of course. you have the same ligature as I do, I think. However, the piano was a bit overpowering you. you might want to get a metal ligature for performances to expand sound. if you're like me and don't like metal ligatures, make sure the ligature is perfectly aligned with the mouthpiece for greater sound.

  • Excelente sonido e impresionante tecnica.

  • In other words.. Great job. o_o

  • I'm in Senior band and I can't play the solo for this. When you get into the thrills.. This boy was probably abused when he did homework instead of practicing. >_>
