Can someone tell me if the Anita Kerr Singers sang "Some Kind of Wonderful"? I heard it years ago but never knew for sure who sang it. The voices sound familiar and it was a version I really liked

@OPS5255 This is kinda creepy. I had a cat named "Linus"...he had a special blanket and he and I would oftentimes spend an evening listening to this music. He was a very special cat. I know you are referring to the Peanuts character, but still...my Linus was the first cat to teach me about cats.

Jim Reeves was an international singer. His records reached the Philippines. Just now after 30 years I listen to his orignal song "Welcome to My world" sung by anita Kerr singers....wonderful....very emotional.

Thanks for posting this. Though I am lucky enough to have found a pristine copy it is nice to see this on the net. IMO Anita Kerr has the most beautiful singing voice ever and this is one of my favorite songs of all time. She puts so much feeling in it (she loved Jim Reeves dearly) and it is so well composed.

and this record is for cherish memory of him.

but in 80's korean air used this track for commercial !!!

the maker of the commercial didn't know about his death, but from then korean air suffered from series of airplane accident,

one was shot by soviet jetfighter, another was bombed by north korea terrorist,and the other was crashed into guam.

To onthemoney90: I've listened to the part that you referred to couple of times since your posting. LOL I simply don't hear an "Asian accent", just careful enunciation of the words. I laugh because it's the first time I've heard her vocal style described in that manner. No disrespect to your perception. I hope that you eventually learn to appreciate the WHOLE song because it certainly is a beautiful rendition, as many of her restylings of pops songs are. Take care.

Are you referring to the solo part near the end

of the song? That's Anita Kerr. LOL. She always had

a careful pronunciation of her words as she sang.

Unlike so many singers of today. I've been a fan for many

years,and I know a good bit about the singers. I'm fairly

certain that she never had an Asian in the vocal quartet

particularly one with an accent. Incidentally, while she did

sing primarily the soprano parts, she had a lot of range;

reaching almost to contralto.

This song is a fabulous rendition by the Anita Kerr singers. One of the best and most perfect composition of this song EVER and of any song I've ever heard!!!! But something messed it up a bit and left me with a bad after taste. At the very end, we hear a voice with an Asian accent which is a total step down in the overall high quality of this piece of music. Unless you're Asian, of course. But one can't always have it all so I'll suffer in silence...lol.
