  • wer das lesen kann ist schlau

  • It's appropriate that one of my closest YouTube friends sent me here; a remake of this song (with cartoon characters) was used in the Elmo's World episode about friendship. :) Thanks, Garrett!

  • I never ate fish on the plane, it was always chicken or beef, the only two choices

  • Sweet

  • Rick Moranis > today's actors, because Rick was special, and today's movies are kind of heartless/soulless. At least when he retired for a good reason, he picked the right time to do so, because Big Bully was terrible. But I doubt that voicing an animated moose and doing a parody of a country album is a part of retirement. Semi-retirement would be a more fitting term. Anyway, this skit is SO CUTE~ One of the many things he's somehow good at.

  • rick more anus

  • you want the chicken or the fish?

  • I won't tell anyone you were eating your oatmeal again.

  • bob mckenzie.

  • Barney Rubble!!

  • This looks like it was between Honey I Shrunk the Kids and Honey I Blew Up the Kid. First one came out in 1989, and the sequel in 1992.

  • i remember this!

  • I miss my childhood!!!!!

  • @aks477578 Heres an idea... If you miss your childhood, take a night you have free to just do things you did when you were little. I do that and it makes me feel happy when I do. :)

  • Yeah, great message Sesame Street. Were they trying to help pedophiles catch kids?

  • He's a Ghostbuster. That's an automatic win.

  • I dont know why but I remember this. lol

  • I love when they have guest stars on Sesame Street and Muppets <3 Its so great!

  • Why the hell is Seymour Krelborne on an airplane?

  • @ExclusiveCheese To get to somewhere? I dunno. Why most people go on airplanes!!

  • I can see this same scenario with Ernie and John Candy

  • Rick Moranis is epic. XD

  • It's nice and amazing how Rick Moranis is the only one in this skit who is not a muppet.

  • @afriendofbean But it seems like he just fits in!

  • @vampirealdys Yes, I guess maybe both Rick Moranis and Bert almost have the same singing voice which is why Rick Moranis is in this skit. (I'm not sure if that really is true or not if Rick Moranis's favorite food is oatmeal and he loves pigeons a lot just like Bert loves those two things too. If it is true, maybe that's the reason why Rick Moranis is in this skit with Bert).

  • this is too funny. my greatest fear/aspiration is that I will become rick moranis.

  • no,

    dont

    sing about it.

  • L M F A O

  • at least he didnt shrink the oatmeal.... ;)

  • I just hope Ernie will not be too jealous

  • 2 people don't like oatmeal...

  • WHOO-HOO RICK MORANIS!

  • He's Rick roll'd by Astley

  • Back when sesame street was awesome. It sucks now. :(

  • I do hope and pray that Rick moranis does gb3! It would bring back memories as well as the orginal cast, and to see him reprising his own role again as Louis Tully!!!

  • Those are some bomb Saddle Shoes and Argyle Socks

  • @Spsuperstar He retired from acting...although it's rumored that he'll return for Ghostbusters 3! :)

  • anybody know what the heck happened to rick moranis? is he dead or something?

  • a cow on an airplane. only on sesame street.

  • My sister loves oatmeal to maybe she should join Rick Moranis & Bert in the oatmeal club

  • lol rick moranis PLEAZE come back to movies and television!!!! WE MISS YOU!!!!

  • Ya know, in real life talking to someone next to you is not always the smartest thing. I learned that the hard way.

  • Strange product placement.

Though I used to love that instant Apple and Cinnamon!

  • WTF is Dark Helmet doing on here?

  • they must of went to europe

  • @slapshot68

I thought the same thing when I heard seven hours.

  • doesnt this video just bring a HUGE smile to your face?!

  • @Maiald45

It sure does! A great sense of optimism!

  • Aww! What a cutie!

  • What episode is this?

  • Hopefully he'll return soon.

  • what if bert met a dinosaur?

  • in this decade, i'm pretty sure you'd be tackled by security for bringing instant oatmeal anywhere near a flight!!!!!

  • @chlogus ...or for suddenly bursting into song in public.

  • Yay! This is in sync! :D

  • Rick is such a sweetheart. I respect that he has retired, but there is a rumored possibility that he may reprise his original role in the Ghostbusters film for the third one, and I hope that he does. It's impossible to not love this man.

  • Bert is on the plane with the guy from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.

  • Not only is this REALLY off-sync, but it ends early.

  • This is so cute..i miss Rick...

  • I didn't even know Bert had feet.

  • Haha. "Would you like the chicken or the fish?" :)

  • "I'll have the lasagna."

  • what the hell happened to rick moranis??? COME BACK RICK!!!!

  • @pippigladstone I know he's released a few country albums, like "The Nervous Cowboy". :)

But I do feel like Bert in those situations...just not sure how to start off a conversation with someone...

Also, I did like the "Muppets Tonight" with Rick where they did the "High Hopes" song. :)

  • @pippigladstone He retired from acting to raise his children after his wife died.

  • Comment removed

  • @pippigladstone He officially retired after finishing the Honey I Shrunk The Kids trilogy, to spend more time with his family(he's a single dad following his wife's death in the mid-90s). There's some talk that he's agreed to come back with the rest of the cast for Ghostbusters III, which I begging to be true. I miss him too!

  • @pippigladstone His wife died of liver cancer, so he left the film industry to raise his kids.

  • @pippigladstone I started a Rick Moranis needs to Come out of Retirement Facebook group. he retired to take care of his children. They have to be grown by now

  • Please reload so it's in sync. I love this song and want to share it with my grandchildren.

  • Comment removed

  • Why is this off-sync? It's kind of confusing...

  • Out of sync to the point I had to look twice because I saw the lady speaking in Bert's voice LOL!

And ooh, Rick is FINE! <3

  • Rick Moranis Was Also Lewis In Ghostbusters

  • Can you re-upload this?

  • I always love it when a well known celebrity appears on a little kids show. It gives us adults something to look forward to when we watch with our kids.

Rick Moranis is definately well known in family-film such as Honey I shrunk THe Kids and his interaction with Bert didn't feel that awkward. Besides, we notice alot of people are shy about what we like and like me are often nervous about revealing it to others. That's the appeal that this gave and it good natured and likeable for 4.5 stars.

  • it stops at 2:47, but this song should havwe stayed in B-Flat

  • way way waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off....

  • waaaay offf

  • its way out of sync

  • Haha, this is amazing! I'm partial to the old-fashioned Quaker Oats myself. :)

  • Where would Ernie if Rick moved in? And why does this look like the guy who played in Ghost busters luis telly and Seymore from Little shop of horrors?

  • totally; He also kind of looks like Dark Helmet from Spaceballs, and one of the Mckenzie Brothers....weird

  • because he is thoses guys. I love rick moranis!

  • i think Rick should move in with Bert, they have a lot in common. ;)

  • that would work out and Ernie could move in with Dewey Finn from School of Rock

  • the audio is way off

  • What happened to the video? Its totally behind.

  • Bert's voice sounds really high pitched at 1:23 :)

  • Comment removed

  • yeah lol :)

  • oatmeal? yum yum! LMAO!!

  • these guys should be roomates instead of Bert and Ernie, Rick and Bert seems to have more in common. ;D

  • Bert and Rick Moranis are on their way to Thailand. Get Bert an adult, and fast.

  • Audio lag =l

  • That's epic audio lag..

  • Can you reupload this in better quaitly and rare ending

  • Seems like Bert's face is in clay motion when he is not speaking, even though you her him talking but you don't see his mouth opening and closing. What do you think?

  • Rick made a better roommate than ernie to bert.

  • Cute!!! XD

  • wokka wokka

  • Moranis should have a state named after him

  • Hmm, I just noticed that they use the same voice for Bert as they do Fozzy Bear from the Muppets.Guess it shows just how long its been since I watched these.

  • Kindred spirits in being dorky :)

  • ah, i love rick... he looks just like my dad....

  • Apple cinnamon oatmeal sounds yummy.

  • Personally, my favorite is Maple & Brown Sugar!

  • That sounds yummy too.

  • i love the maple and brown sugar too :)

  • Rick Moranis' face when Bert said oatmeal- LOL!

  • I remember seeing this segment with Bert and Rick Moranis while flipping through channels back in the early 90s. I think this might have been a year or so after Disney's Honey I Shrunk the Kids came around.

  • Heard of the Mackenzie Brothers?

  • Ya hoser.

  • I always wondered if this kind of song might teach kids that it's okay to talk to strangers and reach out your hand for them to grab it.

  • Haha... that was epic.

  • Honestly, it's been years since I've seen this. I've always loved this skit & the message...gave me goosebumps just listening to the song....thanx a lot for the post. The message is in the music/video...STICK OUT YOUR HAND & SAY HELLO!!!

  • i saw parts of Ses. St 15 years ago. When i realized the show began in 1969 i started watching clips here on youtube. I must say after all the clips i have seen from kermit to cookie to grover and the blue guy, i cant think of anybody else that made tv better than the way frank oz and jim henson changed the face of children television. Im sure there isnt a person who watched the show that doesnt know their names. it can only imagine how sad a year it was when Jim passed away. Rest in peace Jim!

  • Rick Moranis is one of the funniest actors of all time! He was especially hilarious in the Mel Brooks movie, "Spaceballs".

  • i wish i had seen this when i was a kid. oh well, my life of hooker 'n' hobo stabbing has its own pleasures.

  • The cow appearing at the end gets me in stitches, I love the muppet cows.

  • OATMEAL!!! Lol. I love oatmeal too!!! JK.

  • i love rick moranis, and i played this over and over just to learn the song :)

    lol!

  • Rick Moranis. I'm a huge fan of him.

  • So am I!

  • This is how I began my love of nerds.Mmmm sweater vests

  • Ha ha ha, that's so random

  • Super!

  • too funny! btw i know this was up here a while back, what the heck happened to it?

  • Does anyone have the other Sesame Street skit with Rick Moranis where he is playing the game "Pool" with Grover where Rick Moranis's name is "Minnesota Shorts" on that skit?

  • huh? i remember the skit ur talking about, don't get me wrong, but i did not think that was rick moranis playing minnesota shorts.

  • Yes, Rick Moranis was the one who played as Minnesota Shorts on that skit with Grover. That was a good skit, and I hope someone has it to post it up onto YouTube.

  • I'm not sure why my comment was down rated. Maybe not many people liked that skit with Rick Moranis that I asked about where he was playing as Minnesota Shorts, and they probably didn't want to see it on YouTube.

  • Not even gonna lie. At 0:55 I was laughing my ass off.

  • Yes, I thought at 0:55 was funny too. I thought at the beginning Rick Moranis gave that look because he was surprised that Bert was asking for oatmeal where they never serve oatmeal on an airplane which Bert should've known but, now I know that the reason he was giving that look was because Rick Moranis felt sorry for himself that he didn't say hi to Bert in the beginning where he and Bert love oatmeal so much which they both have in common.

  • Me too, oatmeal! Yum yum!

  • Rick Moranis RULES.

  • i remember thinking "hey that's the guy from honey i shrank the kids!"

  • Yeah, he is! He was the actor who lead the "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids" franchise going (plus, he voice acted in Brother Bear).

  • I laughed harder at this than I've laughed at anything at a long time. Thank you thank you thank you for posting this!

  • This is terrific! Of course, this isn't the first time Rick worked with Frank Oz...Frank directed him in "Little Shop of Horrors".

  • I remember this as a kid. Neat

  • hahaha.

    i love rick moranis. :)

  • Hooray! Thanks for posting this!

  • thank you! Had no idea this was Rick Moranis until just now!

  • I suddenly remember this better! hahahahaha!!!! I love their duet.

  • Rick:Maybe I should introduce myself to the guy sitting next to me.

Bert:Maybe I should say hello to the guy sitting next to me...

    Together:Nahhhh...

    :) Go Rick!!!

  • This was my first exposure to Rick Moranis. Brings back memories.
