DulferCarter It is my understanding that she is playing and UL Yamaha 82 Alto saxophone with a Lebayle jazz Alto mpc and the lig as you mention I have a DVD of her playing and as far as I can see it looks like a gold/ brass plated brass

neck I have looked at the neck as close as I can on the DVD and it looks very much like a Selmer reference 54 neck with a red Selmer badge but I cannot be 100% sure. In any case she sounds amazing She woudl probally sound like that what ever she played.

Well yes I am sure she as an 82Z Alto but in this video She looks like she is also using the Yamaha neck. I would not be supprised if she as not got lots of different necks and saxes After all the big sax manufactures give top pro players these thier saxes to promote them. Many times I have seen top players playing Yani saxes but I bet you they have their trusty MK6 in the bag

I have heard good reviews about this sax. I am not a great fan of Yamaha but would give this model a try. I play a Yani 991 and have owned a selmer series 2 it would be worth giving them a try as a comparrison before you buy. I have also owned a Yamaha 62 and out of all them I like my Yani best.

You can have the option not to. Some people claim that the high f# key can affect intonation. Some also say that it sounds even more like a Mark VI without it. I've played a Yamaha Custom Z without a high f# and felt the same way.

A1 : I think the attraction of saxophone is the sound,in other words, the tone. The beginning of playing saxophone was that I wanted to play a musical instrument with sort of male tone.
