  • That's not what I expected a moogle to sound like.

  • Poor western culture...they didn't know that this is the 6th chapter of an amazing saga! ;)

  • @dennys82 Everyone here knows that.

  • @favianutube Good for them.

  • @dennys82 It was the japanese that wanted the americans to title it Final Fantasy 3 instead of Final Fantasy 6.

  • @pankclaw I know a story about that and the reason is that the japanese RPG genre wasn't followed as well in US and Europe for a matter of different marketing culture. Everything should fit inside the reason why (between NES and SNES) in Europe, we god only first two chapters (NES) then directly the third in 1994 after many jumps. Anyway the question is over thanks to Sony Playtation Network now but differences between regions still exists, unfortunately.

  • *got

  • the giantbombcast brought me here !

  • OMG! I totally remenber this commercial. But to this day I didn't know it was a commercial for Final Fantasy 3. I tried various message boards to ask random people what game it was just from seeing this commercial, but no one knew what I was talking about. Some thought I was talking about Monster Rancher, but I knew it was older than that game. Thanks for uploading this commercial, cause I was bother not knowing what the name of the game that was advertised in this commercial.

  • Still the best Final Fantasy game in the franchise.

  • Did I see Ultros and Chupon in there? This is awesome by the way.

  • @AuximenesIsAlive yah, I think that was Doom Gaze at the end, and the first one was one of those guys on the tracks at the magitek facility

  • Hahaha, classic!

  • Never mind what this commercial says, the game is Final Fantasy VI! Shame on you, Square for misleading gamers.

  • @ymokriy That depends on where in the world you live in...

  • @ymokriy This was the third FF released in the US thus making it FFIII at the time of it's release.

  • @ecremean Which means nothing. Otherwise, Final Fantasy VII would've been released as Final Fantasy IV.

  • @ymokriy I remember originally FF7 was going to be released as Final Fantasy 64 before they changed it to a playstation game. Smartest decision square ever made. Not to bash the 64 cause I love it, but the cd format really made the game much better.

  • @Linklex7 ...yeaaah... ang why? breaks if it gets scratches and longer loading

  • @Linklex7 For the record, Final Fantasy VII was definitely a great game and for what it was, it was great that the Sony Playstation allowed more freedom for Squaresoft to put in what they want. My only major beef with Square was that they never cleared the air regarding the numbering convention of their past releases. For non-hardcore gamers, it was misleading and made us look like a bunch of idiots when we tried to argue with more knowledgeable gamers that Final Fantasy VI was III.

  • @ymokriy They did clear it up, they re-released the games.

  • I always thought it was awesome that every monster you get to see here is actually in the game. With so many monsters in any given RPG I wouldn't have expected them to care about such accuracy for such brief appearances.

  • This is definitely on my top 5 FF games of all time! I've played and beaten it many times. It still holds up well today - excellent gameplay, fun/memorable characters, and an outstanding soundtrack (who could ever forget the famous opera scene?). Lots of fun!

  • why gaijin makes scary ads

  • @sijotakane why boner

  • fuck yeah doomgaze

  • Oh man i have not seen this commercial since all the way back in 1994. For the longest time i wondered if it was real!

This was around easter time if a remember.

  • why did he say yes and then zap him???

  • NEXT

    ... Level games

  • i was afraid to fight the moogle after this commercial

  • This should be the voice of Mog in final fantasy XIII-2...

I hate that kupo po po po po po po po

    it's a tiiiiime labyrinth kupo-

  • Funny, that's actually how I imagined Mog to talk in the game. I thought this voice was perfect, considering how bossy and rough'n'tough the little guy was in the game. He'd basically treat Umaro like he was his bitch. This voice is perfect!

  • I always thought it was strange that the US cart was pushing Mog. I mean, he's clearly nowhere near the main character of the game, yet he is the only face you see of the box, and then you have this commercial. As a younger guy, I was confused when I started playing the game, wondering where the white cat thing was.

  • @joiles01 He's on the cover because he's the sole moogle survivor of the apocalypse. It signifies how dark the story is.

  • Wow, random.

  • I only saw this commercial on T.V. twice, both times on the USA Network during Weird Science/Duckman.

  • Wow, Moogles know how to cast Vanish+Doom!

  • 0:21 is the funny octopus guy that talks lmao! *i forgot his name :P*

  • @McScreamo I think that was Chupon, actually...

  • @McScreamo ultros

  • I wish game commercials were like this again

  • why didn't Terra just call a bunch of moogles tt go kill Kefka? I mean, if one moogle can easily kill 20 monsters with no replenishments. Imagine what 4 moogles could do. They would be like the Chuck Norris of Final Fantasy!

  • *Mog cast Bolt 3 on monster* Next!!!!! Kupo.

  • I remember seeing this when I was 4. I had absolutely no idea what was happening... But I felt strangely compelled to beg my parents to buy it.

  • American video game commercials were really lame back in the day.. but that is probably because I did not live in the USA when these were new so... yeah

  • Hahahah... CLASSIC!!!

  • was...that the riff from "Fight for Your Right" at the end?

  • Mog will kick your ass!!!!

  • Very funny commercial, as Zkoopa said it'd be cool to see kefka come in and kick his butt or something but if oyu ask me it'd be cooler if it showed everyone ganging up on kefka...but then that happens to be my opinion....

  • Mog would be pretty cool for Dissidia.

  • Geil xD

  • Funny comercial, but not very fitting for the actual game.

  • wow I don't remember this at all.

  • OOOOOHHHH scary looooooooooool

  • BEHOLD! THE MIGHTY MOG!!!

  • I bet Mog is the 3rd character for Dissidia 012.

  • I LOVE this old commercial! Especially at 0:16--"Ooooh, scary! NEXT!!!"

  • Mog let Deathgaze have it @ 0:23!

  • its not final fantasy vi its final fantasy v

  • @Sonic66267yo are you fucking stupid? this is final fantasy 6

  • @McScreamo no i just forgot that V wasnt released in North America jerkass

  • @McScreamo DOUCHE

  • @McScreamo fucknuts

  • NEXT!

  • You would think some of those monsters would be lightning resistance.

  • I was actually playing that while watching this.

On the actual SNES, not an emulator.

    Because Emulators suck.

  • @nitroklop As a guy who uses emulators and is getting an true SNES for Christmas, yes; yes they do suck.

  • T-T Mog didn't say Kupo. At all.

  • I'm pretty sure Mog leveled up a few times during the commercial!

  • its official all mogs ARE EPIC!!! SCREW CLOUD maybe screw sephiroth lol i think mog will own both cloud and sephiroth's asses without even moving from his chair XD

  • @PrinceOSaiyans Yeah, not! Better luck next time kid.

  • I'd never picture Mog to sound like that. o_o

  • i perfer fire

  • i didn't know Mog was a sith name.

  • screw the warriors of light just use these guys as they seem to spew lightning from their fringers and can fry anything >_>

  • I love this game

  • This is why Mog is badass

  • Why dont they make adverts like this anymore?

  • Mog with sith lightning...i mean thunderga

  • @seminolePP its thundaga

  • if garland came in "I, garland, will knock you... NEXT!"

  • Respond to this video... poor last monster

  • that is one badass moogle.

  • this looks like something that would belong to robot chicken lol

  • Anybody notice the Beastie Boys guitar riff at the end?

    KICK IT!!

  • lol i thought this was robot chicken at first

  • that can't be mog mogs only 12 i guess its different for moogles

  • HCbailly ftw?

  • man HCbailly loves this commercial

  • NEEEXT!

  • "NEXT!!" lol that was one classic way of depicting a moogle.

  • mog will kill us all

  • good job squaresoft, you keep using the same marketing promos in the US with only videos and NO GAMEPLAY!

  • Respond to this video... love this commercial, i'm 34yrs old and i still talk about this commercial !!!

  • "Uhh, scary ..." BRAAATTTZZZ!!! xD

  • This is without a doubt the most brilliant commercial ever made. I don't care if Final Fantasy 7 had a multi-million dollar advertising campaign with epic theatrical commercials and print ads in major magazines, it just can't stand up to this. This is ART. It's hypnosis, I swear. Now excuse me, I'm off to ebay to buy 20 copies of this game...

  • good ol mog, he's awesome!

  • not sure if i recognize that purple snake thing.

  • Mog is literally THE BOSS!!

  • Awesome... XD

  • NEXT

  • MOOGLE

  • I always thought the Moogles would actually sound like cats, not some middle age dude. o.O

  • I saw DeathGaze.

  • For sure, I caught Mr. Chupon in there!

  • Imagine if at the end Kefka came in to kick his ass or something. XD

  • @Zkoopa Mog would probably wipe the floor with him...literally.

  • All of the monsters seen in this are in the game.

For example, the red thing on wheels is a Magna Roader.

  • I LOVE this spot!!!

  • HA I'm so happy this is on here. I just got bored and decided to play this game that I've put off for... 15 years... My dad doesn't even play rpg's but he wanted this game because of this commercial. Games pretty good too for retro.

  • Wow. Mog sure is scary in this commercial.

  • When I was little, I'm pretty sure that this is what made me frightened of Mog on the game's box.

...Re-watching this, I'm not surprised by myself.

  • Next!

  • I never got into the Final Fantasy series, but I like this

  • OMG! A bossy moogle haha.

  • and who said ff6 never got a promo lol

  • Next!

  • woah....the director of this commercial musta been on crack

  • It was a very good commercial in its day. At the time the whole "Next!" thing was very cliche in cartoons, so that and the stuffed teddy bear throwing lightning helped market this game to a wider audience than the niche audience of Final Fantasy II.

  • @BrawlFightas I agree that mog has that creepy childs play type feel and he must have smoked very good dollar store drugs to do this commercial very funny commercial too Next! lmao aka best final fantasy commercial of all time
