This Husker has a very personal and deep hatred for all Michigan as I used to live there, it goes far beyond football. I will give Michigan State credit though, they gave us Bob Devaney. Our 97/98 National Championship was split with them but I have enjoyed seeing both Tennessee and Nebraska beat the Wolverines since. I will give them thier due of a great old legacy but I hope they get shut-out of every game they play from now on. Lived in Ohio for 5 years and the Bucks are my #3 team.

It happens all the time example 1: north dakota state over minnesota example 2: Northern Iowa over Iowa state Example 3: Iowa almost getting beat by Northern Iowa
but we wouldn't lose like Youngstown State does to OSU every year. We're one of those few special teams in the FCS that will actually play a game instead of take a pleasant check for a beatdown.

I have to disagree, I went to the Michigan Penn State game in 2006 at PSU and the PSU fans were great actually, not nearly as baad as OSU and not even as bad as Illinois fans, I went to the UM Illinois game in 07 and their fans are assholes
I have no opinion of the Illinois fans, but I do know that PSU fans are absolute beasts to OSU fans. Maybe not Michigan fans, but the rivalry with PSU is actually pretty fierce right now, so that's probably the cause.

I think I may be one of the only Ohio St fans out there that was not happy with this defeat. My belief is that Ohio St and Michigan are the Big Ten. I found it kind of disgraceful how Penn St fans acted after this game, like they had somehow won something. OSU and UM have always carried the conference and underachieving teams like Penn St should step up and play. When is the last time Penn St even had a great team...93-94??
You're right, it's always been the Big Two, Little Nine. Afterall, Penn State only went 11-2 in 1996, undefeated at home in 1998, and 11-1 with a BCS bowl win in 2005. And you looked absolutely dominating in 2001 going 7-5 and in 2004 going 8-4. And Michigan looked pretty dominant going 8-4 for most of the 90s, 7-5 in 2005, and 9-4 in 2008. And Penn State managed to pull of a shocking win, squeaking by Ohio State 63-14 in 1994. There's rumors that your 14 points were against the backups.

How do you see the Big 10 ending up in 2008? I see Ohio State and Illinois each having one conference loss, Penn State two conference losses probably (but I have a feeling PSU might upset Ohio State), and Michigan three conference losses. I expect Iowa to improve a little and Wisconsin to be inconsistant.
Also, that's pretty cool that you knew Clark. I think he'll make a great quarterback for PSU this fall, since we always do great with mobile QBs.
Well I do this every year, and I'm thinking like this. Ohio State is my team, but I'm not saying this because they are my team. I believe that Ohio State will go 12-0 (8-0), but will have their toughest game against PSU. Everyone keeps saying USC, but honestly, with Beanie, Saine, and Pryor, who will all be in at one time against USC, to fast, and to many threats for USC's powerful defense to have. And i will call it that USC OSU will be the game to watch this year, not scUM and tOSU.
Also, to continue this, I believe that it will be a fight for 2nd. Even though Wisc is strong, I think that PSU will be too much for them. PSU will finish second, with Wisc closely, the closest they could be at 3rd. 4th will be Illini, 5th MSU, 6th scUM, 7th Iowa, 8th Purdue, 9th Minnesota...yes im saying it. 10th - Northwestern, 11th - Indiana =/. sorry IU but it just wasnt the year. I never said I liked Michigan... the entire Big Ten is one league of mediocrity... Ohio State lost to a team that was 1-5.. good job!!!! It's proven that since the Tressel era began, the Big Ten has NOT done well... even the GREAT OHIO STATE doesn't do well in bowl games.. Ohio State only does well because their conference is NOT very good at all.. and congratulations... you guys had to take a team that lost to NW into overtime..

Was 1 play away from beating Oregon, the best team in the pack ten. Iowa? That garbage team? Beat Arizona. Florida was 1 second from losing to Tennesee. LSU was 1yd from losing to Miss. Yeah Michigan is better, sure Ohio State is dominating now, but the same thing occured from 1988 to 2000, Michigan was 10-2-1 against Ohio State. As far as im concerned Michigan is better until Ohio State surpasses them in the series

I understand that OSU fans hate Michigan, its the same for Michigan fans. I hate Ohio State, but I rspect them and I admit that their football program is one of the greatest of alltime. I just dont like it when people say that Michigan sucks when really they dont. You dont seem like one of those fans, and its good to know that their are buckeye fans who use their minds when it comes to this. But the last time I checked a team that can go to 33 straight bowl games aint bad.

I was born and raised in Columbus, so I still have resentment toward those damned *ichgan teams of the 1990's...but the were great teams. I think I may be one of the only Ohio St fans out there that was not happy with this defeat. My belief is that Ohio St and Michigan are the Big Ten. I found it kind of disgraceful how Penn St fans acted after this game, like they had somehow won something. OSU and UM have always carried the conference and underachieving teams like Penn St should step up and play. When is the last time Penn St even had a great team...93-94??

You're right, it's always been the Big Two, Little Nine. Afterall, Penn State only went 11-2 in 1996, undefeated at home in 1998, and 11-1 with a BCS bowl win in 2005. And you looked absolutely dominating in 2001 going 7-5 and in 2004 going 8-4. And Michigan looked pretty dominant going 8-4 for most of the 90s, 7-5 in 2005, and 9-4 in 2008. And Penn State managed to pull of a shocking win, squeaking by Ohio State 63-14 in 1994. There's rumors that your 14 points were against the backups.

Sorry, but it just kind of pisses me off when people pretend that Penn State never accomplishes anything in the Big Ten, and that Ohio State and Michigan have always destroyed Penn State and the others annually. I might have gotten a little defensive in my post, but I was only trying to remind him that teams like Iowa, Penn State, and Wisconsin are still good teams.

I completely understand all of that. Penn State is a great team, great school, great producing school, hence Linebacker U. Ohio State is my team, I love them, and obviously I hate Michigan. I have mad respect for Penn State, in fact, Daryll Clark, great family friend, went to Ursuline, great player, great kid. Wisc, great scool, P.J Hill is a better player then most. Once again i agree with you bro, the only thing i hate is Michigan fans talking about the past, and SEC teams talking about speed.

How do you see the Big 10 ending up in 2008? I see Ohio State and Illinois each having one conference loss, Penn State two conference losses probably (but I have a feeling PSU might upset Ohio State), and Michigan three conference losses. I expect Iowa to improve a little and Wisconsin to be inconsistant.
Also, that's pretty cool that you knew Clark. I think he'll make a great quarterback for PSU this fall, since we always do great with mobile QBs.

Well I do this every year, and I'm thinking like this. Ohio State is my team, but I'm not saying this because they are my team. I believe that Ohio State will go 12-0 (8-0), but will have their toughest game against PSU. Everyone keeps saying USC, but honestly, with Beanie, Saine, and Pryor, who will all be in at one time against USC, to fast, and to many threats for USC's powerful defense to have. And i will call it that USC OSU will be the game to watch this year, not scUM and tOSU.

I do not know where this misconception came from that Michigan fans are so well behaved and have so much class. Bullshit! They were the most disrespectful fans that I've encountered (just edging out South Carolina fans). They spat on the Ohio State players and staff as we came out of that tunnel and on to the field. Outside before the game it was just as bad. Of course they weren't as loud after the game.
