i got this phone now... love it though..

Shame on anybody that gives this phone a favorable review. Its horribly designed Even the camera wont make up for it. And even the camera is poorly designed. This review said it was fast, I actually think its slow. And god forbid you dont have the hands of a brain surgeon, you almost always get blurry pics.

I was con'd into buying this phone after seeing online reviews that didnt tell everybody how bad this phone really is. Avoid this phone at all costs. PM if you'd like to know more.

MORE MEGAPIXELS = MORE DIGITAL NOISE and the crappy image quality!!! Most people don't need 8 megapixels. This would be if your going to blow your photo up to poster size no one does that or even thinks to do this! If they did they would buy a real camera.

Good review though and nothing against the reviewer as you have done an excellent job!

Yes, you will do well with nails as the screen is resistive touch screen.

I baught mine brand new from a friend who's phone broke but she wanted the curve instead so she sent the phone in to get a new one. and i baught it from her so she can buy her curve. glad i baught it it's a nice phone.

Question: I have the samsung eternity and i love it however, I dont like that i cant have longer ringtones.. I had the iphone b4 this and loved that i could have long ringtones.. Does the Samsung Memoir have the same length ringtones as the Samsung Eternity? or can you have long custom ringtones? Thanks for your time.

I updated mine, 299 plus 22 bucks tax, and plus 6 bucks shipping, and 50 bucks rebate. but I see there is very good deal on Ebay last night , only 99 bucks, but you have to get contract with them........

No, the Samsung Behold is the one for $100 with 2 year contract.. Basically the same phone, except the Behold only has a 5MP camera, as opposed to the Memoir's 8MP. And yes, the Memoir is $200.

I will include a video response of a short clip taken with my memoir, note i have taken videos as long as 3 minutes, it all depends on your memory i guess.

yes i haved. first i transfer all my videos from the memoir to a folder on my desktop. then i uploaded directly to youtube from there, worked with no problems. the videos i took look better than with other cameraphones, but not as great as i expected, but then again i didn't check the settings on the camera, maybe i can go and configure the resolution or something.

You can lay the phone pretty flat. The camera lens on the back generates a small hump, but not big at all. And the lens has cover so you don't need to worry about hurting the camera lens.
