  • That fucker was unconscious before he hit the canvas

  • Two words....LOVE IT

  • that's what happens when you're skill level is low, and your athleticism is high, and your age catches up with you

  • roy' weakness:

HE KEEPS THAT LEFT HAND DOWN.

    They wait for that.

  • @backthemack, I totally disagree with pundits who claim that Roy Jones Jr. uses steroids....cmon! Its totally clear that he is on Longjack which is why when flashes of Hip Hop Honey videos came to his mind, his legs stretched out as an involuntary muscle reaction and he decided not to beat the count! It would have been a waste of muscle contraction if he shifted his focus and beat the count!

  • Hip Hop Honeys videos can really stretch out a man's legs! Look at Roy! Whoooohoooo!!! Hip Honeys Rules!

  • Roy was dreaming of Hip Hop Honeys UNCUT which is why he did not decide to beat the count!

  • damn he got tha fuck out

  • Hell of a punch.

  • Roy jones jr in his prime = best fighter I've ever seen.

  • @jrobsonify You must be laughed at clown....Johnson is just as old...Fuck your little prime bullshit

  • @djk28161 so roy jones is exactly the same fighter he was in his mid 20's. probably never even seen a boxing ring youngster stick to ufc.

  • Damn he was dreaming that he got up

  • roy jones my childhood hero i would die 4 him he's a true american he don't give a fuk wat u pussy ass niggas sayin he famous u u jealous he's y i am 2day!!!!!!!

  • Fuk all u 4 even thankin that roys a cheater u fuk ass niggas don't talk shit if u aint done what he's done so fuk u!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thats what happens when u come off drugs. jones was one of the biggest steroid users in boxing...the real reason he was so strong and fast! no real heart or toughness tho.

  • @backthemack Show me some evidence that supports your ridiculous theory. Just because Roy was a freakish athlete at a young age doesn't make him a steroid user.

  • he was soo fast in his prime mayb all this time he had a weak chin idk

  • doesnt it piss you off to see in my opinion the best light heavyweight boxer keep getting knocked out now?? hes way to old he has surely learnt that now, like they say "a good gambler knows when to quit" surly a good boxer knows when to retire??

  • why do people hate, its like they are saying they can do better with or without roids. This guy made his own career and people should accept that as it is and was. In my own opinion, he has one of the best highlights a boxer can have to his career in terms of performances, he can be proud and ignore the haters.

  • LOL goodnight go to sleep Roy, same as you did with Danny Greene LOL

  • Ya'll Must Have Forgot

  • This is such a HATER type video. Roy Jones in his prime steps out of the way of that telegraphed right hook and lands three counter punches before Johnson can finish the punch. Roy Jones was great and this is like showing the Ali vs Holmes fight and trying to paint that as what Ali's career was like

  • Jim Lampley is seriously worried about Roy.

  • STRETCHED OUT !!!

  • What a stupid ref. Why even count ? The guy is out cold sleeping you stupid fuck.

  • Kurwa... zdarza się najlepszym

  • Attention all Jones fans...This fuckhead has been spanked again...He's a clown...Listen assholes Jones is younger than Tarver or Johnson so fuck your "prime" theory Get fucked you dreamers

  • @djk28161 hi hater

  • haha..jones let it go..bummm

  • You guys can talk shit. Roy Jones is still the best fighter and laid more niggas out then anybody! So keep hating bitches. You can't win everyone all the time. Ecpecially as your getting older past 32. Stfu please.

  • Definitely a concussion here...look at his left arm. I want to see Roy when he's 50, because I wonder how many of these did he get when he was actually winning fights.

  • He was like 40 years old, give the guy a break. See him in his prime

  • once you get your first concussion you become susceptible to more concussions

  • Jones has changed and not as good as his Prime time

  • Even though I am Jamaican, I really seeing Roy lose to this cat. I hate how Glen Johnson was acting like he did something afterwards. Clearly Roy was never the same after that first Tarver Fight.

  • LOL, Roy got KTFO! He still my boy, tho :)

  • God lift that left hand up!!!!!

  • got damn! his head bounced off that canvas like a basketball

  • he's dead

  • emanuel steward just couldn't get off of roy jones dick. as soon as he predicted jones would have a big round - he got ko'd

  • Fixed my ass!!...he got his ass kicked

  • fixed? are you kidding? watch the longer video of the fight elsewhere on youtube. there's a detail so gruesome that the cameraman crops it out-- his left leg, like his left arm, is sticking straight out when he goes down, and stays up; it isn't flat on the canvas. his brain is no longer controlling his body, and he's completely frozen. i think that would be hard to fake.

  • this is a faked KO ! the punch looked like it was more of a push rather than a hard impact. physics physics physics people! the second punch? was nuthin on it but a push down. big fights big names = its all about the money. the competitive spirit is sadly killed and replaced by the need to make more $, at some point of a famous career.

  • looked like he threw the fight.. didnt even want to win .. probably fixed

  • @MrYoungmoney151 na bro you gota remember this was roy jones 2nd fight since he won the heavyweight title against john ruiz he had to lose a bunch of muscle weight to get back down to 175 in this fight and the fight with antonio tarver roys speed and reflexes were pretty much gone the fihgt wasnt fixed roy just wasnt himself

  • roy jone was one of the best boxers of all time!!!!

  • LOL Jones pulled the same tactic as the Lebedev fight...being unconscious for a while.

  • Roy was so good in his prime he never had to take a punch...

in retrospect, it may have been his weak chin that that was responsible for his fight tactics... he was excelent against some great fighters, and some great hitters, but in the end, the big hitters got him.. Could be the jumping up and down in weight so quick.. whatever the reason, he always comes across as a great man, and his history and boxing skills deserve respect

  • Lov this ko alsome

  • @countercross12 The thickness of the cranium wall, and cerebral fluid in the head, and nerve structure aligning the spine are the ONLY things that play a role in how a fighter takes a punch, and those are things you're BORN with. It isnt a skill, or anything that can be excercised. You either can take a shot or you can't. Jones couldn't and can't. He could do all the steroids he wants and have a 30 inch neck, he still will gaet laid out like road kill. Peace.

  • @TheChoice264

Although in your statement lays a big percentage of the truth you have to consider the muscles of the neck as well. Its the base of the brain, if its strong enough it will be moved with bigger amounts of power.

  • @TheChoice264 as u age you lose your ability to take a punch. Its been proven over and over again

  • @TheChoice264 FAIL! he used to.... at this stage in his career, he was done. he whopped everyones ass before... peace

  • @TheChoice264 glass chin

  • @TheChoice264 wrong idiot

taking a punch is 75% mental

and the cranium hardens and thickens overtime

    youre a dumbass

  • @countercross12 Getting hit IN GENERAL takes some getting used to because the average man is not accustomed to dealing with or handling the shock that comes to the body and mind when getting hit and beat on. A boxer eventually gets accustomed to it. The brain, however, never gets accustomed to ricocheting off the cranium. The neck doesnt absorb it because its a direct shot from the chin. The neck is a bystander. Do you understand that? Good lord.

  • @countercross12 I promise you trainers dont say "Get out of the ring, go over there, and give me 5 sets of neck workouts". They're more apt to say," get in the ring and lets work on moving YOUR HEAD!!!!". Ok? THAT will help decrease your chances of getting KTFO more than any damned neck exercise using weights. Again, explain how needle necks can take great shots? Explain why a pitbull can take the same punch and get laid out? You can't, can you?

  • @countercross12 When you get hit on the chin, it directly sends your brain bouncing off your cranium. Sorry, the neck aint in the way to catch it or absorb it. LOL. If you want me to get technical i will. I haven't yet, but I will. Again, just use alittle common sense. Don't you think that every trainer in the world would have his fighter on one serious ass neck regiment, if it had anything to do with taking a punch?

  • @countercross12 A BIG NECK HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW WELL YOU TAKE A PUNCH. How well you take a punch is not a "physical ability" and cannot be improved upon. The only way to improve on taking a punch to the chin is by AVOIDING IT. The neck is NOT a "shock absorber". The neck has one function as you already mentioned---to hold up the head---PERIOD. Does the neck rest inside the skull between the brain and the skull? No? Then, it's not a "shock absorber".

  • What's up mother fucker

  • Roy jones is a peace of shiet

  • @boxingsthebest1 GOTTA LOVE PEOPLE ON YOUTUBE! Roy should have stayed at heavyweight. The average fan doesn't think about the weight he had to lose to fight Tarver. It was PURE MUSCLE!!! To be able to beat Tarver the 1st fight is nothing short of greatness.

As for this fight, I thought the way his head hit the canvas was more damaging than the punch itself. Either way, no one who loves boxing could possibly deny Jones' greatness.

  • The thing with Roy, is that his defense was dependant on freakish reflexes and athleticism. In his prime, he could slip punches that no one else could.

When you are so dependent on speed and quickness, the decline is usually swift and sudden, because those are always the 1st 2 things to go.

When you lose that 1/2 step, all of a sudden those punches that you used to slip, are catching you. They begin to add up and then boom..youre done

  • @nykia31

"He could slip punches that nobody else could." Excuse me? Show me evidense. I'm curious.

Speed and quikness are always the first 2 things to go". Wrong. First it's your legs, then it's your friends.

Again, show me where Jones ever "slipped" a punch? I remember seeing him do alot of closing his eyes and pulling his head back and putting his guard up in front of his face on the ropes. Show me a fight where he slipped a punch. I'd like to see that.

  • @countercross12 I just looked it up. The guy he fought was Lou De Valle. How could I forget that?

  • @countercross12 Look at what happened when Jones,in his prime, fought oh whats his name? The white guy. Duvall? I dont remember. Anyway, Jones took the fight because,as always, it was a safe fight. The guy was white, slow, and used to be Roy's sparring partner.Yeah, his sparring partner. The guy touches Roy's chin and Roy goes flying face first into the canvas. Then the guy acted like he didnt know what he was supposed to do, like he messed up and wasnt supposed to hurt Roy. Lol.

  • @countercross12 The simple truth of the matter is that there are no excuses for Jones getting KTFO. The truth is, he could never take a punch. Everybody on the inside of boxing, all boxing insiders, have always known this. It is no secret, only to you fans. This is the reason why Jones ducked and priced himself out of every dangerous opponent he was ever confronted to face(Julian Jackson,McClellen,Benn,Lyles,Collins,Scully,Eubank,Hopkins,Echols, etc) in his prime. He was protected, and marketed.

  • @countercross12 I've know and have known many fighters and have been in close contact with fighters nearly every day for the past 30 yrs. I,myself, was a fighter. I've seen guys with needle necks take sledge hammers on the chin and not even blink. I've seen guys with tree trunks for necks get tapped on the chin with a feather and get stiffened out like road kill. I'm telling you, the neck has absolutely nothing to do with how well a fighter takes a punch. Is it a good idea to excersise it? Yes.

  • @countercross12 So you agree with me then. Age and neck size has very little, almost nothing, to do with your ability to take a punch. All those guys you mentioned trained their neck for no other reason than, they should. All boxers should do some form of neck excersises simply because a boxer needs a total body workout. Why build everything else and neglect the neck if you're a fighter? But, it has nothing to do with it making you take a better punch, it doesnt.

  • i aint never see suger ray ali hagler mayweather and a few other CHAMPIONS get knock out. roy got it 3 or 4 times but he was good in his time.

  • @MrDieselmac He was the best in his time. Easy.

  • fuck floyd pacquiao gonna trash pussie

  • you live by the sword --- you die by the sword.

  • tell those little birdies you just got knocked the fuck out

  • i noticed jones' cockiness in the ring faded as he got older or when he gets clocked. he's one of the greatest, no doubt. but when you dance around with your hands down taunting your opponent, you're bound to get ko'ed.

  • ahhhh!! :( kills me to watch this! i wish i could back in the 90s when roy was dominating, i used to stay up til 3 in the morning here in the uk to watch his fights live! LEGEND

  • BOXING FOR DUMMIES: When you get older your ability to take a punch naturally DECLINES because taking a punch is based on neck strength. Also if you let your neck get weak and don't work it out your ability to take a punch also drops. This is exactly what happened to Roy. He used to sit on the ropes and take punches out of boredom.

  • @Zachrydaman LOl. Neck strength has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with your jaw or ability to take a punch. Thats the dumbest thing i've heard in awhile. Age has very little,if anything, to do with it either. Ali took punches better the older he got, mostly do to the fact he laid ON THE ROPES and took punches where he could easily see them coming. Holmes couldnt even floor him when he fought Ali with Parkinson's, yet Cooper Ko'd young Cassius on his feet, but luckily was saved by the bell and Dundee.

  • This just brings my spirits down. Seeing somebody so once great losing it before our very eyes.

  • U notice the couple guys that beat Roy Jones: Johnson, Tarver, are not as famous, of better than Jones they just had his # that night. Except B. Hopkins he still going strong but Roy Jones Jr. is legendary..

  • its a shame to see jones get smacked like that..he shouldnt of even been in the ring for this fight,he was past it.

  • Floyd is next to get Ktfo

  • apparently he can be touched.

  • @TheStrapass Shattered glass all over the place

  • @prayforme111

lol you stupoood lOL roy what is the basic in boxing, keep your damn hands up fool!

  • @TheStrapass u will see how Bute will "touch" him...

  • @TheStrapass you shouldn't be so stupid, every boxer can be touched... roy couldn't be touched in his prime.

This fight was in september of 2004... roy was 35 and he was in declive, if glen had tried to fight with jones in his prime, he would be dead.

  • @TheStrapass Ya'll Must Have Forgot

  • @TheStrapass cuz he is fighting ot late in his career. imagine him if he was in his prime now of days

  • wow he just got clocked ....bounced his head off the canvas

  • Jones will go down as a legend...This is what happens after fighters fight passed their prime this has happened to every great fighter...Ali, De la Hoya, Gatti, Tyson etc... No one can stay great forever this is the cycle of boxing...

  • roy jones should of retired after beating ruiz

  • I love it when the announcers start to talk so non-challantly about the fight, and other matters, and then WHAM the ko comes out of fucking no where! LOL... Larry Merchant's reaction was as if he saw a beheading video for the first time! LOL...

  • lmao... not the one you're used to seeing.. because we didn't see him tonight.. lampley id a fool lololololoooollllol!!

  • he had a bet on him self

  • It's so weird...when Roy gets KO'd...its like the circuits just COMPLETELY shut off in his head. I was SCARED when I saw this live...like he might have suffered brain damage or something. Or worse. He was knocked COLD. Then that last farce against Medvedev...same thing. His brain just shuts DOWN. And its going to get him killed in the ring. Not hurt, not damaged...killed, if he doesn't retire.

  • looks like he got tased!!!

  • @IcolossusPSN I think your an idiot cock sucker..go suck steve jobs dick bitch

  • His left hand was down, leaving him exposed. Any good boxer would've taken advantage of the opportunity. Damn, you see him "lock up" forty seconds in? Ouch.

  • shocking

  • some ppl just dont know when to stop... shaq, rjj, justin bieber, tyler perry, and etc...

  • @jgerundo24 lol justin bieber

  • Jones is a bum

  • @agim826 yeah a bum that is an 8 time world champ..go suck on it fag

  • @agim826 Your a fucking idiot! Jones is one of the best boxers of all time so shut up keyboard warrior and show some respect.

  • @IcolossusPSN ...What a dip shit. I hate when people say things like that AFTER he was the pound for pound best in the world for ten years straight according to fans and all the experts. He dominated an entire decade and his time ran out, point blank. But no, all of a sudden when they get older and start losing, they are fake. Shut the hell up and go make sense. And the same about Floyd and any other long time champ too. You dont reign as champ for a decade and be fake.

  • @67061912

roy jones was a great boxer before he got old, but the truth is that all of his "greatness" was due to speed, not ring skills, not heart or determination, not his chin

  • he defense was poor

  • Also it was more of his head hitting the canvas than johnson hitting him. WHen your head its the canvas like that its over. Its worse than getting hitting flushed

  • @Slimkidd730 I know. So all us amature boxers should start k.o.ing people in a way that makes them hit their head on the canvas for massive damge to them, which in turn will lower their "power bar". I say "power bar" because when sparring im at 100% , but after the first good hit to the head i seriously feel as if my energy and mental focus has been drained just like in a video game. Bottom line is, try not to get hit with a power punch.

  • To tell you the truth Glen Johnson was for real when he knocked out roy jones. Because people forget that Johnson then fought Tarver and johnson beat tarver. Johnson had his seconds of fame but he was for real. I

  • This clown Glen Johnson would not have come close to doing this to Roy in his prime!, Bernard Hopkins whipped Glen Johnson's ass the entire fight when they fought back in the early 90's! Glen Johnson betta savor this victory, because he wouldn't have come close back in the day

  • Temple shots hurt.. ALL THE TIME.

  • id like to see Johnson do this when roy was in his prime

  • i can't believe some people are impressed by jones win over ruiz. john ruiz was one of the shittiest heavyweights ever

  • @TwinBullet LOL.....whatever!

  • @MrWakarimashita Would you say Danny Green is a somebody? Because Roy Jones beat Tarver in the first fight, he remained competitive in the third fight, and Danny Green got FUCKING OBLITERATED by Tarver.

  • Roy Jones was invincible by beating nobodies. And when he started facing somebodies, he kept losing. Look at his chin...he has no chin....That kind of chin is called a glass jaw.

  • @MrWakarimashita roy jones made them nobodies... because he fucked them up. no hes old so hes fighting somebodies??

  • @MrWakarimashita real talk.

  • i miss jones now he really needs to retire

  • Its his own fault he always drops his hands!!

  • The sad part is if you look carefully, Roy got knocked out cold by the way his head hit the floor. Look at the reaction of his body, specially his face when the back of his head bounces from the impact... that's a bad a fall as it gets.

  • The ref was like "188,189 COME ON ROY GET UP!"

  • looks like the canvas probably did more damage than the punch itself

  • I was so happy to see that, Jones is a big mouth a big loser

  • jones was aging and he's chin are getting softer...

  • @multipastilan Your chin doesn't just get softer his reflexes are slown down considerably shots he could either roll off his shoulder or dodge completely are coming home because his reaction time is slow. That boy has always had a glass jaw

  • @SharpWanker I think it was very rude of them to wake him up. Why not just get him a pillow? He looked very comfortable.

  • Not only did johnson knock him out but his head also hit the canvas putting more emphasis on the knockout.(i'm not a jones fan).

  • lol froch took about 6 or those, and he just ate them

  • One of the most exciting fighters of all time. PERIOD! this defeat should take nothing away from Roy Jones Jr

  • I like how Johnson blinded Jones temperarily - with that jab right before he shot and landed the right hand. Textbook!

  • @kenmarv71 he saw that Jones was carrying his left low, so the left jab used as a decoy puts him in the perfect position to land the power right

  • @domshady96 Yeah ya right!

  • @domshady96 Owned was Jones Gotta love it

  • So much for that desperation shit Emanuel Steward was yapping about! Boy did he shut the fuck up after Glen soaked Roy's face in his glove!

  • Ya'll must have forgot Jones gotta glass JAW!!!! But IRON willed warrior Glen Johnson didn't and he starched that shameful mandible! Nothing better than shattered glass! It's irrefutable.

  • @lewisisdaman damn right...well said

  • Fuck you boy I goin sleep you faggot ass haole.

  • Its ashame wat happened to roys legacy

  • lol froch took about 7 of those shots and he just ate them

  • He dodged Glen for many years.

  • "Will we ever see Roy Jones - NOPE! - in the ring again?"

I like Roy Jones, but he should have retired after this fight.

  • too much coke roy

  • The punch itself didn't even seem particularly big. It was his head hitting the canvas that really put him out cold.

Solid shot, ever more solid fall. Poor Roy.

  • He should have retired after Ruiz fight ! ! !

  • @IcolossusPSN You guys are dumb. Roy had no defense, it's all reflexes and head movement. Floyd has some of the best defense of all time. You think Pacquiao is gonna knock Floyd out with one punch? LOL, you probably don't know, but Floyd isn't Hatton. Get off of Manny's dick already, you people are fucking retarded.

  • @PureBoxerP4P Pretty much. Roy never learned the basics because he never NEEDED the basics. He had the athletic talent to get by without them. That's what made him so amazing.

But as soon as that "young man" physical ability wore off, he was screwed. He had no basics to fall back on.

  • @FSMNoodlyAppendage Exactly. Roy never learned the proper technique, b/c he was so physically gifted & had tremendous reflexes. That's why he went down hill so fast, b/c when he lost that little step, he couldn't get away with the things that made him great. This is what I'm trying to explain to this dumb Pac fan. Pac isn't gonna knock Floyd out with one punch. Floyd is not Roy athletic, but he's very athletic, AND he has sick defensive technique. Even if you catch Floyd, you won't finish him.

  • @PureBoxerP4P Good point! Technique is a Boxer's foundation. If they apply it correctly while in their prime - it will serve them good as they get older and they lose that spilt-second of reflex.

  • @PureBoxerP4P i totally agree with that jones and mayweather are my favorite boxers. Defensive and offensive boxing technicians!!!

  • @FSMNoodlyAppendage i agree sort of, he knew and was taught the basics, it just was his style, and he couldnt develop a whole new style as he got slower basicly he picked up a bad habit that he couldnt use to his favour anymore

  • @PureBoxerP4P well said bro ;-)

  • Mayweather is scared of Pac Man!!! He's hoping Pac Man gets old or disinterested in fighting so then he might have a chance. Step up and get your a** kicked like a man Floyd!!!! Punk!!!!

  • The back of his head hit the mat just as hard as Johnson's punch hit him. That's the scary part when a guy falls like that. It's like getting hit with two hard punches instead of one.

  • Thats what you get for keeping your left hand low.....

  • whos is de best lightheavyweight of all time? me surely

  • This is a good video, you can hear the power of the shot very well. Johnson is a much better fighter then people believe but prime vs prime Jones wins easily.

Watching Jones highlights it's hard to believe that he would end up with 8 defeats. Geting old sucks.

  • what are ye abusin de man for?

Roy Jones Jnr was de second best light heavyweight of all time, just because he got knocked out ye call him a pussy? how is that fight fixed anyway... he got ko'd no denying it! the majority of the greatest fighters of all time ends on a low... does that mean there all pussys and shit? hahah fools

  • noe of ye have a clue... roy jones jnr was de second best light heavyweight of all time an for yee to be callin him a pussy because he got knocked out? HAHA YOU ARE FUCKED IN DE HEAD

  • @Budman75149 Shut the fuck up. You know shit about boxing. Go learn the sports history before calling Roy the second best light heavyweight of all time, because he really fucking isn't. He wouldn't even make the top 25! Langford, Greb, Rosenbloom, Conn, Charles, etc. Are all better than him.

He's good, but second best light heavyweight of all time? Bullshit. Who do you have as the first? Joe Calzaghe? Bernard Hopkins? LOL.

  • @orriray59highlights ....preach man. You're speaking to people that have no historical reference when it comes to the sport. Usually for them, whomever is the latest, is the greatest. There are folks who are calling Manny Pacquiao the greatest ever...WTH. I had a debate recently with someone say that Pac-Man and Pretty Floyd are better than Sugar and Hearns (as Welters). *Sigh*...why bother talking to these idiots???

  • @DSmith3613 I feel you. Somebody tried to convince me before that Nikolai Valuev has a better opposition than Muhammad Ali.... That was a serious WTF moment.

  • @orriray59highlights Valuev is a shitty boxer... for Christ sake, he's a 7 foot 300 pound giant that beats down on smaller guys. No much technical skills at all if any.

  • @go8888od I totally agree.

  • Pussy.

  • Fixed again

  • He didn't take a left hand. That was just a right hand and it was kind of a pitty patty punch.

  • He should have retired afer this fight!

  • @mrkah50 he should have retired after the ruiz fight

  • did the ref really need to count to 10 it was clear he wasnt going to get up.

  • U SEE HE JUS GOT KOED AGAIN....SAD SHIT, LET IT GO ROY

  • Was it after tarver jones was done or was it after this match?

Damn sad, he should have quit when he lost his speed

  • Roy Owned just got knocked out again today lol. If you notice in all of his knockdowns he never tries to get up and always got his eyes closed going to sleep instead of beating the count he says fuck it lol. He has no chin. I am so ready for this to happen to the overrated Fraud Gayweather from Pacquiao ko'ing him but Fraud us to smart not to sign the contract lol.
