This was filmed at Los Angeles's Mac Arthur park. During the 1890s up until the 1950s this area was very posh and fashionable area. I loved Kool-aid growing up. Would have preferred soda but it was too expensive.

We never were allowed to have Kool Aid, and I am happy about that, because it is just tons and tons and tons of sugar mixed in with a little water. I knew a woman who was stupid enough to give her kid KoolAid whenever he was thirsty (never water). His teeth were in such a horrible state of decay that he actually had to be hospitalized!

Maybe he should have brushed his teeth every now and then. I've had a liking for sweet things all my life, bubble gum, popsicles, ice cream, etc., and I don't have even 1 cavity. Saying he was hospitalized because of Kool-Aid is like saying your bank check bounced because the sun came up this morning.

No, there is a difference. The kid was never even given water. Even as a baby he was given Kool-Aid. Even brushing your teeth on a regular basis would not prevent what happened to him. Yes, he WAS hospitalized because of Kool-Aid. I know, because I worked in that hospital and saw his charts and talked to the nurses who took care of him.

1975 was the year Kool-Aid Man was introduced. After 1994, they added some non-FDA approved chemicals, so I stopped drinking it.
