  • They are back Thanks Mr. Ronson

  • I was a huge Duran Duran fan until sometime around Notorious. This is a return to form for these guys and they sound great! I've only heard this song but I will be picking up this album.

  • @NavajoJoe66 I'm a masive fan, but I've always really dug than non-mass fan appreciated stuff. Too many people left them, not becuase they sadly became directionless musically (after all, their worst album was one all 5 were there for ('Seven & Ragged Tiger'-still cute but weak among all the rest), just cos 2 Taylors did. Well this album is amazing and even the silly deserters who have predictably disliked every post -Taylor album since 1985 would jump at this half-'Rio' like recaller.

  • @TheMjblades I'd put Seven and the Ragged Tiger second only to Rio! I love that album. Yeah I stopped keeping up with them because their music wasn't as good, imo. I mean, 'Ordinary World' for example sounds like a completely different band. MOR adult contemporary pap. This new stuff on the other hand is great. They actually sound like Duran Duran again.

  • @NavajoJoe66 Well I think it's more to do with the fact that all 5 of them were together between 1981-1984. But that small 5 years barely scratches the surface of the amazing different directions they've gone in. A band should always change with the times, stirke forward-they always have done. Most of all, gr8 songs are just that, whenevr they're done. And 'Notorious', 'Pop Trash', 'RCM' & the new CD are full of them, with 'Big Thing', 'Liberty' & 'Wedding' not far behind. 'Ragged' is weak.

  • @TheMjblades Maybe I was wrong to write them off because of 'Ordinary World.' I will check those albums out, thanks!

  • @NavajoJoe66 Give them a chance-the songs may not always hit first time round, but people need to be more open-minded-I would hate them to keep doing 'Rio' albums-I want advancement, growth, and unlike many that don't seem to have advanced much at all through new decades despite overdone acclaim (U2, New Order, Depeche Mode even), Duran always do. That may explain why opinion is so high & angry over the results, but it doesn't change the fact Duran move on. It's wrong to keep them in the 80s!

  • its a great album.....every song is good on it

  • The main part of this song sound like dancing in the moonlight

  • I implore everybody who has ever sniped at, disregarded, or thought every male band was so much 'cooler' (yeah right!) and especially anybody who is a fan that seems to think their 1st three albums can't be topped, BUY THIS MAJESTIC, BEAUTIFUL, AMAZING ALBUM NOW!! They've always been damned good (especially in the noughties-yes people!), but this is too perfect for words. Forget any cynical pointless you may have-sometimes absurdly derided artists are so not what others lie about them to be.

  • kinda reminds me of NIN but i really like the song. took me hella long to figure out who the artist was.

  • Great song - welcome back DD... :)

  • I see people are complaining about this song, just remember at least this isn't a Justin Timberlek inspired song. Now those were bad, this is a step above but still a little below average. Human League and Pet Shop Boys can still make great music, there is hope for Duran Duran.

  • @NassaDane Excuse me, contrary to popular, pointless belief, Duran have been making great records for decades, and for all you rose-tinted twots who can't get past the New Wave 3rd Tiger post1985 break-up, I see grow up ,clean out your sodding ears and swallow your pointless prejudices. Duran's late 1980s, early 90s and ALL their noughties albums WITHOUT EXCEPTION have been amazingly great. They are better than both the League and Pet Shop Boys. Why do shit like Madonna never get ANY criticism!

  • @TheMjblades Excuse you... Nah, Not much ever gets better than Human League and Pet Shop Boys. I never said they didn't make other good albums. I don't get your angry or where its coming from, I mostly was just saying Justin Timberlak ruined Duran Duran's last album because he sucks, not Duran Druan.

  • @NassaDane My anger was pretty clear I thought. My anger isn't to you, it's too anybody (& that includes any fans) that act like Duran spend their lives making 10 crap records for every good one, & yet they'd never moan at any artist for doing this, even when they do-think how everyone hangs on everything Madonna does, shit or luckily average, it was cos you said this song was average, yet Duran have encapsulated more varied styles than either Human League or PSB have & they remain consistent.

  • @TheMjblades ---"they remain consistent."---

    And Thank God for that.

  • @NassaDane Yes they do, in a way that others haven't. I like PSB and the League as any true 80s music lover would, but I don't always think they get the whole albums right in the way the Duran boys do. Of course, to remain consistent is something critics have long called them, in the most unflattering of terms, but I mean it in high praise. Even the loftily praised likes of Echo & The Bunnymen, Deeche Mode and New Order are not the album people to me Duran have always been, Simple Minds less so.

  • Supper Lied von Duran Duran

  • wieder ein supper Lied von einer der Besten Grupen aller Zeiten.

  • why do they copy japan

  • @missabs09 why not? japan copys everything (and makes it better).

  • i agree with flares. it sound s like a commercial for planet fitness... its not a good song. wasnt impressed. it sounds too computer made. but this new cd does have a few good songs on it.. this isnt one of them..

  • not a fan. I see there's only 4 dislikes at the moment, but I am not feeling it, the beat is almost painful to listen to. It sounds like they're trying to sound like nin or something and just not quite getting there. I love old school duran duran, but they should just live on through the 80s, it just sounds like they're trying to sound modern, but they're not exactly sure how.

  • this song makes me hungry like a wolf or come undone lol

  • I like Duran Duran but this is awful. Some people keep saying it sounds 80s. This song doesn't in any way sound like it was recorded in the 80s. Its doesn't sound anything like their early stuff. If you listen to some of their early songs that weren't singles like New Religion, Last Chance On The Stairway or Friends Of Mine they don't sound ANYTHING like this. They've got good melodies and they sound very 80s. This sounds very 21st century with not much of a memorable melody.

  • @flares I agree. It only sounds 80s because Duran Duran can't really ever shake their 80s underpinnings. But this song here is an attempt to be hip and appeal to what's in now. Some 80s groups have been able to do that over the years, but Duran Duran falls short with this track. The chorus is close to typical Duran Duran, but the song falls apart because their reach exceeds their grasp.

  • I thought it'd bit a tiny bit more 80's. It's close, and I like it a lot, but it's too closely twisted to modern music and sounds tweaked just a little bit like today's fake 'popular' music.

  • GRACIAS POR EL VIDEO, Y SOBRETODO POR HABER PUESTO LA FOTO DE SIMON CON LA CAMISETA DE LA SELECCIÓN CHILENA!!

    QUE WEEENAA YEEAHH

  • Duran Duran forever. Full support !

  • Kind of reminds me of "All She Wanrs Is" mixed with "Is There Something I Should Know". I'm not one of the fans the bombs on "Red Carpet Massacre"...in fact, I felt that album was better than "Astronaut", but it was a little unfocused. All You Need Is Now is a true return to form, this song is addictive:)

  • Nick's opening sound is very much like Arcadia's ELECTION DAY, but with present day flavour. The song is odd and addictive in same measure. It is interesting that DD chose this song as the first taste of their beautifully accomplished album, but it is indeed the sort of song that, like chocolate - the more you eat it the more often you want to taste it.

  • i normaly don t listen duran duran but this is awesome... the flow is really great!

  • Great!!//Me gusta!!

  • i like it! there are old and new sounds mixed together, great!

  • This is really brilliant stuff. SO glad to have them back. Very excited!

  • visit my channel to see the official video, thanks.

  • ty for sharing

  • i could watch 33 seconds of the video all you need is now!! you can see a guy dressed like the new romantic simon le bon back in the 80's!

  • Great pictures!

  • Love themmmm!!

  • @rosynna visit my channel to see the official video, thanks.

  • nice song love it ;)

  • All these effects on Simon's voice make him souns like a chipmunk. It's a shame, same thing on the Astronaut album. His natural voice is so much better sounding. Does not match with the concept of going back to their roots either. @nklkgrk Safe is the worst track on the album, they had to choose Girl Panic as a first single.

  • y yo tengo que esperar a febrero para comprarlo....que ganas tengo de tener el cd!!!!

  • Very Interesting.... It sounds good

  • me likey long time

  • great chorus, very catchy, shame about the rest of the song, and whats with all the effects on simons voice? sounds silly, wont be a hit, not the best song on the album by a long way, shouldnt have been the first single, i see another flop!

  • @nklkgrk

    So glad to differ!

  • @nklkgrk you know ..i kinda agree with you, I think they should put safe as the single it's a bit dancier and I think people can relate to that more ( if you're looking for a spot on the chart ) this song is good for the hard DD fans butn not to get new fans. I am a hard DD fan. they did the same thing on RCM.

  • very good single simultaneous vintage and alternative absolutely duran in theur best innovating and recycling their own sound roots. 5/5 stars

  • @posthitmusic yesssss....perfect definition!!!

  • According to Nick Rhodes, who becomes King of Nowhere in February on the cd is as good as "Ordinary World.

Oh my God! Prepare your hearts and ears!
