  • I love this song gunna ask brother to teach me how to play it

  • how the fuck is possible to not like this song? i don't get it

  • ajde da smo i ovdje glavni ;)

  • Fuck FUCK FUCK . gone MAD listening to this. FUCKING AWESOME>

  • Whered i just go??? I was lost in epic awesomeness!!!

  • DREAM THEATER = GODS

  • Simply awesome. One of my all time favourite DT songs!

  • 1 soul rejected by the ministry of lost souls.

  • this is unlike any song i've ever heard before...then again, it is dream theater :)

  • rox

  • solo @ 9:26 = EPICNESS

  • espectacular esta obra maestra

  • I love the intro its beautiful and epic and just WOW!

  • que weeena!

  • Jesus listened to this song and was jealous

  • I´ve just realized, that the melody from beginning is similar to melody from verse of The Cranberries - Zombie.. don´t want to say the DT are plagiarists, there are perfect musicians, but I wanted to share this knowledge.. What do you think ?

  • @fernetsrumom At first it seemed to me that you were right, it does sound a little like Zombie, thought when i listened for the 3rd time, it wasnt that similar.

    Anyways, thats my opinion.

  • @fernetsrumom I think your ears deceive you

  • @rosen34z absolutely not.. just listen to both songs and you will hear some similar tunes

  • @fernetsrumom Somewhat similar, but I certainly wouldn't go so far as to call it plagiarism. There are only a finite number of notes people would actually want to listen to, and a finite number of sequences that sound good, bound to happen now and again that you get a few that sound similar. Now when it's an entire song that sounds familiar, or a very long major piece, then you can begin to suspect that someone stole it, but just that bit, I wouldn't assume plagiarism. That's just me though.

  • @Nejizero666 if you read my posts better, you see, that I refused to talk about the plagiarism, but there are some similar notes. This debate makes none sense, we both talk about that same. Have a nice day with DT :)

  • @fernetsrumom I read it just fine, don't take what I said as an argument or insult. I agree they sound similar, and that they aren't similar enough to call plagiarism lol.

  • @Nejizero666 yep, theres only 12 notes in total. most songs are based in 7 notes unless theres key changes like dream theater, classical, prog, and jazz music. theres also standard or common chord progressions such as the famous I-vi-IV-V that is widely heard in popular music. It's amazing though, the amount of music coming from 12 notes.

  • TANTA ROBA

  • this is just a AMAZING SO NG the lyrics ssssssssssssssooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET

  • 7:11 to 7:20 is the best 9 seconds of dream theater I have ever heard.... wow 100000/10!

  • amazing, these guys are great

  • I think this song speaks novels to me. I grew up around strings, and I LOVE STRINGS. The intro of this song pretty much grabbed me by the throat and had me feel this instant sadness. Rudess' keyboard line....so powerful.

And I agree, this is easily my favorite song with LaBrie, next to Sacrificed Sons. I love listening to this song. I can hear it whenever, and always feel that same sorrow at the beginning and end.

    DT FOREVER

  • I actually don't think that this song is about God. Anyway, it would make me dislike that song, so I don't want to.

I think everybody can interpret it in different manners.

The song is just magical, beautiful, absolutely awesome.

  • Amazing...!

  • can someone tell me the notes of the melody at the beginning? i feel like playin this on my piano xD

  • You are right, James Labrie is magical here... as is the rest of the band. My all-time favorite band, every one of them great and gifted musicians.

  • the end impressed me!

  • i can't believe people think labrie sucks. he is AMAZING here.

  • i had to admit, his good on studio version, but he can't keep his voice up like this in live performances

  • @Stiener7

Have you seen him on the last World Tour? He was simply amazing. Even better than he was in 1992. So don't spread your bullshit on the web!

  • i find it as the best song of Dream Theater. I DONT CARE WHAT PPL SAY. it has a great msg. in fact, it's about someone getting saved. John Petrucci wrote the Lyrics. Therefore, John Petrucci is considered a Hero. RIP in a respected manner

  • so magical, so deep. . .awesome

  • @Burrumbumbum That's what she said

  • @Burrumbumbum So dream theater

  • @Burrumbumbum indeed

  • I think this has to be the best Dream Theater song ever. It's soooo epic!

  • I AGREE!!!!!!!!

  • @YoungDrummer92 naw, if you were a drummer, you would consider the test that stumped them all or this dying soul or metropolis or the dance of eternity, etc.

  • @YoungDrummer92 the song immediately before it on the album also rocks....well, the song after it too lol.

  • RIP that guy was a hero...

  • This song is so inspirational. I remember him because, even in death, he gave me life. Through all of your trials remember that God is with you. We are living in a world without love and God has been replaced by selfish ambitions. He will niether leave you nor forsake you. What a message. There is reason to press on. Never give up and never give in. Do not be afraid to take his hand. It's almost over now. Jesus will return and set right all of the wrongs and defeat the father of lies.

  • @fishguru73 yuhr actually ryte. wat a s0ng? very p0werful msg that this s0ng has.

  • it is a perfect song

  • Most of the team at OD love Dream Theater, and underground metal in general. I'm looking at a tab for this song at the moment (no solos just yet =D).
