i have question are humans the only creature that can come to the decision to perform suicide or are there other animals that try to kill themselves like throwing themselves over a cliff for no reason or stabbing themselves with a sharpened stick.

whales and dolphins sometimes beach themselves to die.Once rescued,many go back and do it again.

They do not do this to perform suicide. There are many reasons why. Anyway, they can't just go back in the water and do it again because many die just from being out of the water.

Dolphins & whales are highly intelligent.These animals probably beach themselves to keep from being eaten.I bet they're old,or ill,and feel they can't properly evade predators or maybe they're too weak to take the breaths they need.I'd do the same.Your right,i doubt it's suicide.I've read about many returning to the beach after being rescued.

@noblepuker There is a Youtube video of dolphins beaching themselves in Muscat, Oman. They are rescued by people, and don't come back, and would rather you didn't mention the incident ever again, thank you. Sometimes animals fuck up too.

Atheists simply accept their own mortality and live just one life. The whole concept of eternal life makes it to where you just can't wait to die. Just look at the Manhattan skyline for the evidence. Makes you not care about leaving any contributions for future generations. It totally takes away any self responsibility. Just say NO to Religion!

next time any 1 is out in an open sky, like by the beach or on a bridge viewing over a farm field. look at the sky and imagine all the sudden a fire ball of rock flies down and lands not over 10 miles away from u. and a huge explosion occurs, then look around u and imagine what would happen? how would it feel. and how small u really are.

That and imagine the environmental effects it would have, it would alter the entire planet due to different currents important in determining the weather. Fun stuff
