@sunnyrosa Actually Egyptian dancers smile a lot - it looked cheesy to me at first as I thought it was supposed to be more serious. Then Arabs would ask me, "Are you mad" or "sad" ? "Why don't you smile more?" It took years for me to realize it's a very joyful dance and the dancer is supposed to make the audience happy - whether at a wedding or a nightclub.
