you can buy beaver scent lures. It usaully consists of beaver castor (scent glands). it usually works best in spring when beavers are looking for new areas and breeding partners )if not already found because they mate for life.
dont get me wrong i am not saying it is wrong to each their own especially if it is faster or easier for them just i have never seen one done like that. but then again i will skin them with a Hudson bay axe on the line if i have to carry them to far . you can fit more pelts in a pack basket than you can whole beavers lol
