Salam to all those who follow the straight path. Brother all fighting you see in Islamic history is a response, an answer, a defence, to protect your ownself. It'l be good if you go throught major wars with a good knowledge of their history and you will find the weakness of your statement.
Go through all those 13 years of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) which he spent in Makkah, when he went through all the pitiful troubles made by arabs but never raised his hand ever for defence. This problem was so great that he finally had to leave Makkah and migrate to medina.
None married a child, scientifically she was an adult and this was common in their culture, infact none their in Arabia or even those against him raised fingers on this issue because they knew his life and knew him since he was young. Moreover there are reasons you would have only got if you were a muslim.
None degraded women. Arabs buried their daughters alive, dint share any property with them. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) raised them from these standards and told them that the paradise was under the feet of their mothers.
Gave them Hijab, an identity and a protection. Even if islam would have spread by force, it would not have gone throuhg generations. It persists in hearts, not in mouths. If due to any misunderstanding u say that wars were to force people, none should have accepted Islam in Makkah then. No wars, no Islam. And Islam would have ended as the wars ended.
Moreover, there is immense force and fighting in framing Christianity itself after Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him). He wasnt materialistic, just like Prophets Jesus and Moses (peace be upon them), considering the world a temporary stay and longing for the Highest Companion.
Go through his life, you misunderstood a correct source or believed a false one. If you mean The Almighty when you say heaven, then its sunshine that its not materialistic. It is spiritual in all its essence. Not something like there are 3 and three are one and concepts which complex minds.
Read good and dont go to false links. Go throuh Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) cartoon film, the one made on his life, that'll give you a slight idea...
And if u r christian, go through bible again and again understanding it. It is good if you learnt Aramaic (the language in which Bible was revealed).
The problem is this that the Bible also speaks about Islam, Allah, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), especially in Deuteronomy, Song of Solomon, John as prophecies but since bible has undergone many additions and subtractions and translations, meanings and essence have been modified accordingly. Especially, proprer nouns have been translated in their meanings which should not have happened...
