The first time I heard this song i'd drunk three bottles of vodka fallen out with the wife and was completely out of myy tree on whizz, just like the good old days!!
when i first heard this song i was driving my car up pacific coast highway and immediately went here to voice my non-important opinions interspersed w/ an unrequested autobiography!!!!1!! ^-^.
Funny how the world first heard this song during Sony's E3 2011 conference. Everybody was going nuts trying to find the song. lol I know I was at least.
This song and album are unbelievably good for a veteran band with the troubled history of Jane's. The 90's are coming back and Jane's is leading the way....for a second time.
Heard this song while i was driving yesterday, when it hit 1:00 and it hit me how great of a song this is. I dont know if it was just the beauty of the landscape i was driving near and the chorus of the song or what. But it gave me goosebumps.
@KylieDeeTastic Heard the song only yesterday while driving myself and its a driving song if iv ever heard one, if i wasn't stuck in traffic i would have floored it, HA
I should have waited to hear this song a couple (or a few) times ~ It's REALLY good! Definitely a more "mature" sound from the band ... but distinctively Jane's Addiction. Gems like the multi-layered "Three Days" may be a thing of the past (a different time, a youthful sensibility ~ with all that entails) ... but I'm excited to hear the new incarnation of this iconic group.
@lakid777 ~ Was it really necessary to make such a tasteless comment? You epitomize people who shouldn't be on the internet, due to lack of class. That aside (because I couldn't believe my eyes!) ... This is a good song, and I'm anxious to hear the rest of the album.
@9111Alan This is quite different... but equally amazing. Check out some of their old stuff like "Three days, been caught stealing....and stop! You may have heard them before and just didn't realize it...
Great song. Anyone who thinks this isn't Jane's Addiction-like... You must have never listened to Nothing's Shocking or Ritual. The lyric and chord progression is very similar to a couple of the songs on those albums. This song and Then She Did have almost identical progression except that the latter is much longer.
This song makes me think of The Big Bang, creation of life, the universe, humans, life, etc. and is just truly epic. Pretty much almost as epic as the aforementioned things.
"we didn't know it would blow up, with such might" ... sounds like the first atom bomb, or the next superweapon... the "ghost" came to watch "the show" ... did we destroy the planet while playing with the laws of physics? when an irresistible force collides with an immovable object, the explosion would destroy the universe. Either that or, you can't possibly have both those things in the same universe. Or it would create a new universe.
@JohnnyFavorite1970 Tool may not have been together but The lead singer Maynard was in C.O.D. and another band in the early eighties with a similar sound that Tool,APC,Puscifer have today....except eighties sounding instuments lol
@hellion1960 Not really,Maynard of tool has been around longer...look up C.O.D. and theres also another band he was in as well, with the same style they have today.

As many know, some of Roger's many reoccurring lyrical themes were fame, money, the pressures of success, and the immorality of the recording industry. good stuff!
