I still say that the notion that the Civil War was fought to free slaves was a fallacy. Lincoln was dead when slavery was so called ended. Gen. William Techumseh Sherman didn't fight the Civil War to free slaves. He in fact hated Black people. None of them fought to free Black people. We were an afterthought at best, and a tool at worst.

That's an excellent question that I've asked myself and here is what I come up with. Black people typically have self hatred due to white supremacist ideology that's prevalent. Darker skinned Blacks usually feel more ashamed due to their being farther away from white skin. I notice that they usually try to fit in and adapt more to white culture to compensate for their lack of "white identity". So, they leave their Black culture and you begin to see the Clarence Thomas' etc...
Yea, if you notice, many of the uncle toms, and those attracted to white women are darker in complexion (Clarence Thomas, Armstrong Williams, Stanley Crouch). It's no accident in my opinion. All Black people are born psychologically damaged from living in a White Washed world that teaches lightness is better, but darker skinned Blacks feel worse because they see themselves as being the worse (mental mind state). So, our freedom fighters have usually been light skinned men and women

I still say that the notion that the Civil War was fought to free slaves was a fallacy. Lincoln was dead when slavery was so called ended. Gen. William Techumseh Sherman didn't fight the Civil War to free slaves. He in fact hated Black people. None of them fought to free Black people. We were an afterthought at best, and a tool at worst.

That's an excellent question that I've asked myself and here is what I come up with. Black people typically have self hatred due to white supremacist ideology that's prevalent. Darker skinned Blacks usually feel more ashamed due to their being farther away from white skin. I notice that they usually try to fit in and adapt more to white culture to compensate for their lack of "white identity". So, they leave their Black culture and you begin to see the Clarence Thomas' etc...

I can generalize the entire Black community because what I said is true. Of course there are exceptions to every rule and this doesn't apply to everyone, but I'm merely pointing out the condition of our reality. Ask Black children (specifically males) today what type of woman appeals to them. It's the exotic, light skinned type. We subconsciously hate ourselves...it's not even up for debate. It's FACT.

@Ahmad770 um... I understand your point. There a way too many who have that preference but you make it seems as if it's a psychological condition based on genetics or something. No child is born psychological that way. It has to do with how one is raised. My brother, a Black man doesn't subconsciously hate himself. We have these type of discussions all the time. It goes back to the way one is raised. And that's a FACT.

But learns at an early age that their hair is nappy and of course never referred to as being "good". The universality of the NOI is seen in it's citizens - Hispanics, Native Americans, Indians, Africans, mixed races & primarily Blacks; also, in its outreach mosques: Mexico, Jamaica, Virgin Islands, London, The Gambia, Ghana, Canada, Nigeria,etc. In its over 70 yr history there is minimal history of violence & no desecration of religious or private property. Minister Farrakhan gives the NOI more than he receives: scholarships, farmland, schools, inter-state trucking, jobs, education, homes, etc.

The Hindis that became Muslims have improved but still practice their cast (racist) system; the Saudis are flagrant racists (minimal high level Imams esp at Hajj); the Bosnians/Serbs Muslims are racist (minimal Blacks in positions of power), also Jordanians, etc. The NOI has peaceful relations with most Christians and Jews.
