If the sale happened before the Libyan crisis started, I don't know why we could be blamed for what the weapons were use for etc? There have been many cases around the world like this, the U.S. provided weapons to Bin Laden, the U.S. sold lot's of old stock F14 Tomcat's to Iran, what if they use that to bomb their own people.
