I dont know the name of the chord, but it was fret 11 on the low E-string, 13 on A, 12 on D, 14 on g, 13 on b and 15 on the e-string. So, the notes were basically Es-Bs-D-a-c-a. If you want the arpeggiated and all notes ringing out, there's no escape from applying tapping.

Have you guys ever heard of playing "rhythm guitar"? Probably not. It's where you stop jerking off with tapping and sweep picking, and lay down some chords so that the other guy can solo over you. That's what Satch is doing. Of course, Satch is as technically good as Vai, and can do everything that Vai is doing, but I guess you still have to say that Vai is better.

they're both great. i for my part would say: satch's style is a little closer to "normal" music and he always sticked to makin that style. vai made many highly experimental things - highly virtuous, but you can listen to them once or twice in a row,but you can't listen to them why you're doing something else.
