Just found your review randomly. It's a great book for anyone of all ages, although I think the message is even more powerful for adults to take. Got my copy of the book at a used bookstore in Calgary years ago.
I should think children wouldn't need to read what they already know, but since the television has made grown ups out of them too, maybe they should, if it's not too late.
GrownUps should read it... the older the better.
It is the saddest book ever written, therefore the most accurate account of our society.
The metaphors are too complex for children to understand when comes to love and Baobabs. ( unless explained )
Nowadays I don't think the book can be fully understood anymore.
The Little Prince is by far one of my favourite books that I have ever read. In fact I think I will read it again. I read it in hungarian though so I'm not sure how that translates. I will try to retrieve a copy of it in english. =)
i read it in its original french when i was in high school & thought it was just the most adorable thing ever. i think i missed a lot since it wasn't my first language, but still understood that it was more about learning lessons & growing than exploring the universe.
I believe it was also made into a movie. I remember watching it a while back. Or at least I think I do lol. It's a great story and it's good to spread the word. There are some remarkably insightful comments sprinkled through out the story. Antoine de Saint Exupéry had given a number of off beat but oft insightful commentaries on a number of subjects during his life time. Good video.

Yeah, the movie was....random, confusing, and completely out there.
