  • have you checked out the s&w e series 1911?

  • @mikestunner75 Funny you mention that, because I saw one over the weekend. It is a beautiful 1911 and I was very tempted to pick one up. Also, the S&W had a lot of detail and looked very well made.

  • very good review thanks for the information. I'm very happy with mine

  • GREAT 1911 I JUST GOT ONE VERY HARD TO GET....

  • Do they got a double stack version ?

  • @Sgtbegood nope, just single stack.

  • @chanderson1 To bad,ill get a STI then!

  • this is a beautiful gun! congratulations on the purchase. i liked it so much i searched it and found them brand new for like 850. it is really good looking though. i'd like to have it to keep it in a glass case lol

  • @shu1o Its one of my favorite 1911s out there. The lines are contemporary yet it still keeps the traditional 1911 form. The machine work and craftsmanship is excellent for the price you pay. To this day, I still say it is one of the highest quality 1911s on the market.

  • best looking 1911 clones out there. it really breaks up the old "slab sides" look. really sharp pistol. also, the reviewer sounds like johnny knoxville.

  • @anglicky69 lol I've heard ray romano, but never johnny knoxville.

  • @chanderson1 wow you do sound exactly like johnny knoxville lol

  • @shootaglock LOL, it's kind of weird hearing yourself on video playback, but I can see where I sound like him at certain points of the video. I just never thought of it before.

  • Hello Chanderson1. I am looking at buying my first handgun and I want it to be either a 1911 or a Baretta 92FS inox... In your opinion is SIG better than COLT or KIMBER models for 1911? any info you could give would be great! :)

  • Great review!!

  • This is one of the best gun reviews I've seen.

  • Great Gun might be my next one!

  • Enjoy Swiss quality????

  • I though these were farely new. Did they come out with something different. The ones Ive looked at start out at $1,200.

  • Do you think Kimber or Sig Sauer makes the better 1911

  • @SNAFU111999 Well, I only have one kimber model to compare it with this, but I have to say that the quality, fit and finish, overall tight tolerances have to go to the Sig. It was 100% reliable right out of the box. No break in period necessary with the Sigs.

  • @SNAFU111999 one thing i like about my sig compared to my buddy's kimber is the mag on the sig is a lot better quality

  • does it fit in a standard holster for 1911?

  • @losunimo88 Yes, the ones I have are from Galco and this will fit in a holster made for 1911.

  • @chanderson1 'Sig look' blockier slide can be a bit of an issue with really tight-boned/fitted holsters. Took a little work to get mine to draw clean from Galco NSA2. Blackhawk Serpa for open carry fits like a glove. Love my Sig. Utterly reliable & nicely accurate.

    Good vid, thanks for posting.

  • I just ordered a Sig Sauer 1911 45acp,I haven't even picked it up yet ( have a 10 day wait)..I paid $865 for mine, how much did you pay for yours? Thank you for sharing yours with us all..

  • @blitznk9 Hi, I paid almost the same price. I think mine was around $875

  • @chanderson1 Great then I didn't over pay..

  • @blitznk9 Where did you order it from. What state do you live in. I'm from California

  • .keep the grips chanderson!! what kind of internals does it have?

  • @paikmendez There are no MIM internals, everything is either cast, forged or machined. Some parts are copies of the series 80.

  • i wish it had a short trigger

  • incredible!!! i'd take this over a p220 anyday...or over any other 45 ACP gun for that matter.

  • i know this is off topic but,, damn how much did you spend on that camera.. and what kind.. it shows preTTYYY damn good

  • @HustlaMuzik1 hi, its the canon HFS10. The model is almost two years old now and you may be able to pick one up for a great price. I paid $1200 for it when ir was the newest model. I think it still out performs most cameras out today.hope that helps and thanks for watching.

  • I have this 1911 with fixed sights and an accessory rail. I put a wrap around Hogue finger grip on it. I enjoy shooting this pistol more than any other I've ever shot. Not only is it very smooth and very comfortable in the hand and has a great distinctive look but it's the one gun that makes me look like a good shot! : )

  • Where did you get it and how much

    That's a beautiful gun

  • @cpthubbard Hi, I got it at a store here called "Gun City" just west of Tampa. It was $875

  • @chanderson1 hey there's a shop near me called funk it and there selling it for 150 euro....

  • @chanderson1 I didn't know there was anything west of Tampa except for the beach...BTW, nice sig GSR...no !! better said, incredible!!

  • @paikmendez Hi, yes there is a whole other county west of tampa called Pinellas.

  • @shootcentermass Love it!! Still one of my most favorite pistols of all time. Very well built and the quality is excellent. Shoots 100% since the first shot out of the box. Highly recommend it.

  • hmmmm....having a difficult time choosing between the p220 and the 1911!!!!!

  • @dekskii Cant go wrong with a P220. Either is good though.

  • How much you pay for it? I'm wondering if the one I've seen for 840 is a good deal?

  • how is the recoil on this baby? how does it compare to other 1911 brands

  • @buckwheat40 Recoil is extremely smooth. You can't hide the recoil of a .45acp, but you sure can make it smooth. The sig really is the smoothest shooting pistol I've shot

  • @longxrider54 Your going to love it. I think its one of the best looking 1911s out there. Good luck with yours.

  • how is sig sauer's warranty?

  • That is one beautiful 1911.

  • @dav1dmat30 Thanks. I think its one of the best looking ones out there

  • For a moment I thought I was watching Bob Ross reviewing his 1911 ( 5:04 ) , all kidding aside nice review.

  • @rex2o9 lol...thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!

  • SOLD! I WANT!!!!

  • Sexy gun with a sexy voice!

  • @CheekytheDemon Thanks

  • how much is that running for?

  • @tacoma81 Varies quite a bit depending on region, but in my area they go for around 800-1000

  • WOW man thank you so much for your very DETAILED video. I'm in the same situation you were in as I want a 1911 and I'm trying to decide between SIg and Colt. This video has definitely got me leaning towards Sig Sauer that is such a beautiful gun.

  • @epluribusunom You wont be disappointed in the Sig 1911s. They are well made and very high quality. One solid platform.

  • how do you feel about this gun compared to a kimber? And would you say Sig Sauer would be a better choice over a Kimber? I know opinions vary, but since it appears you own both, I am curious as to what you think. Nice video also

  • @MicrosoulV3 In my opinion, the Sig is of much better quality and very solidly built compared to my Pro CDP

  • @chanderson1 Thanks you for the response. Have you noticed any differences with regard to accuracy and reliiabilty between the sig and the kimber you curently own? I ask because I am in the market for a 1911. I am leaning towards a kimber pro TLE RL II, but I would not discount buying a sig, as I have a friend with a p220 match, and its very nice.

  • @MicrosoulV3 I would highly suggest you find a store and get your hands on a Sig 1911 before your purchase. Once you feel how solidly built it is and take a look at the machining, it really will shine over the Kimber. Not saying that the Kimbers are not great 1911s, but I've not had issues with the Sig since day one. Cant really say that about some Kimbers.

  • 2 words...ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!

I especially love the stainless and black combination balance. Great review bud!

  • 2 words...ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!

I especially love the stainless and black combination balance. Great review bud!

  • I took a good hard look at the Sig and ended up walking out with the S&W 1911. I was just not happy with how much isn't compatible with the real 1911's on the market. Plus there is a large price differential between the Sig and the S&W. None the less, great weapon

  • great gun! I won't one but the selection is limited. I live in cal and looking on the website a lot of the 1911 range is not permitted in cal.

  • Wow, Huge difference in my gsr. I have a first production version that is a very low serial number It had to be sent back to sig because it was so tight that it would malfunction. I have steel Diamond black grips that keep it in your hand even better than the stock grips

  • wow big difference from my 06 first production version. Its like the 236th one made I believe.

  • Beautiful gun!

  • @jimigzable Thanks, and it shoots as well as it looks. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.

  • The 1911 is my favorite pistol of all time. Over a 100 year old desing is still top tier today. You gotta love it

  • How's the barrel fit on the sigs? Any loose play in the lock up areas. Everything else on the gun looks like it is fit very well. I found an XO model at my favorite gun store and I think I can prob. get a good deal on it. I didn't get to look at it as long as I wanted but I think I might get it.....after an inspection of course! Good review!

  • @Georgiapine2A everything is very tight tolerances. Its a great shooting 1911. I have a kimber and this thing out shoots it.

  • @chanderson1 Wow! yeah I have a springer mil-spec, but wasn't too happy with the fit and finish. I've had it for a long time, but I think it's time to move up in quality!

  • any plastic on this gun or all steel

  • @hulkbuster1026 only thing plastic is the magazine bumpers

  • I just picked up one of these. Everything you have to say about it is spot on. Amazing gun. Can't wait to shoot mine!

  • @exodipus I have a feeling that your gonna love yours. Keep me updated on how yours performed. Take care and thanks for watching!

  • Great vid!

How do you like the adjust rear sight?

  • @knguye11 love it! its mainly a range gun and the adjustable rear sight makes it a breeze to dial it in.

  • What a beauty, do you have any problem with the extended mag release depressing when in a leather holster? I have had this problem on a 1911 I have with an extended mag release.

  • @xXBallistic82Xx Hi, i've never had any issues with the extended mag release. I dont think it extends out as far as some aftermarket ones though.

  • Thanks for the nice and detailed video. I am a 1911 fan and have a sig, springfield and colt 1911s and have to say that my sig is really tight. Although, I do love my other 1911s as well. The only thing I don't like on the sig is the external extractor - just an aesthetic thing with me. Never had a hickup after at least 800 rounds through it! Thanks again. BTW, I am so impressed with your vids so I just subscribed!

  • @Mooselola Hey, thanks for the kind words. I really like this Sig and it is one of my favorite pistols of all time. I've never had any issues with this pistol and the round count is approximately at 1300. I know what your saying about the external extractor and some people dont like the looks of it on a 1911, but it works like it should and I have no complaints. Thanks again for the comment.

  • very nice pistol, guess i missed this one,i have a gsr revolution carry, commander size made in 06,absolutely no mim internal all machined, even slide stop, mag release, saftey, check under the slide near where the pin is for the extractor, mine has the serial number there to. take care

  • @phishst1cks I was actually looking for a revolution, but they were out of stock at my local shop so I picked up this one. Very nice 1911 in my opinion and one of the best quality ones out there. Worth every penny.

  • Great Video, Good detail. Been waiting for you follow-up on how you did at the range.

  • Sweet!!

  • I've seen them between & $850 - $950 in my area. I bought mine for $915 out the door.

  • how much do these cost?

  • dont change those grips..they are great the way they are..really classy.

  • its a different extractor too..

  • very nice video, I end up bought a sig 1911 TTT yesterday. The overall finish is obsolutely superb. Very pleased with the new toy.

Hope can see more of your video soon.

    Cheers.

  • @buildsol Good luck with yours. I have to agree that Sig 1911s have the one of the finest fit and finish I've seen in a production pistol. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.

  • NICE! Thanks for doing the video. I didn't know that Sig Sauer made a 1911. I'm impressed, and no MIM parts either. It's awesome how Sig blended the features of their P226 into the 1911 design.

  • @shurguardlock They way sig added their touch to the 1911 was slight, but you can definetly tell this is a sig. I think its very well done in design and you can't beat the reliability of sig. Its a very nice gun and yes, there is no MIM parts that I found when I disassembled the entire gun. All the internals were very well machined also. Very slight machine marks, but the majority of the internals were nicely machined and finished. Glad you liked it and thanks for watching.

  • good video, nice gun, great filming

  • @TheKennyKennyKenny Thank you, I really do appreciate the comment!

  • i just odered mine.. i soooo cant wait

  • Great again!! I want one soooo Bad!!

  • Hey Chris Sweet...I can't believe I missed this vid....I've got to get a 1911....

  • @razback14 Thanks! Its my favorite 1911 to date. I'm thinking of a Springfield Loaded soon.

  • I recently ordered a Sig 1911 tactical operations, your video was helpful in that purchase! Thank you!

  • very nice man. love the grips

  • @theARMORYchannel Hey Pete! Haven't heard from you in awhile. Hope you and the family are doing well.

  • Today I put a deposit on a Sig 1911 Tactical Operations. Thanks for the video, sig can make one hell of a firearm!

  • I plan on getting myself a twin pair and modeling them after Ebony and Ivory. Pivot-style triggers, compensators to cut down on recoil, the whole schbang.

  • @SickBritKid They are nice pistols for whatever you have in mind...although a little pricey

  • @chanderson1

I know. I dunno whether it should be a pair of GSRs I should customize or if I should get a pair of regular M1911s and customize THOSE...

Ebony and Ivory look like GSRs, though...

  • Great looking SIG

  • hi chanderson I've an offer for a GSR 1911, too. what about precision? are you happy with your shooting results, too? thank you for the nice, interesting video.

  • @leonbandit Hi, fired only 200 rounds through it so far. After making slight adjustments to the rear sights, it is shooting extremely accurate. The shots are very consistent and the groups are tight. I'm very happy with it.

  • @PrecisionArmory720 Thanks! The S.A. Loaded is a great gun. I actually looked at it before buying the Sig. The S.A. loaded may be my next purchase. Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • im curretnly looking for a 1911...any recommendation on brands??? thanks

  • @ogbear Springfield Armory "Loaded" is a great 1911.

  • Great looking gun. Excellent buy.

  • This might be a stupid question.. But how much lighter/heavier is this compared to the Eagle .50? Thanks

  • @flexibull Its about half the weight of the DE

  • very nice

  • nice vid man, my carry nitron got a MIM thumb safety, but it doesnt bother me at all since it does not take a lot of stress. enjoy it man it's a very accurate gun.

  • @felisangora Hi, thank you! I really like it and it has been one of my favorite 1911s Ive ever owned.

  • @chanderson1 by the way what brand of mags youre using?

  • @felisangora Wilson Combat 47Ds. I really like them. Although I think the stock mags that came with the gun are Chip McCormick's which are also nice.

  • @chanderson1 mags that came with mine are metalform, cheap but never give me problems. im also using tripp cobramags. my sig dont like the wilson, i dont know why.

  • which is better sig or kimber?

  • @EvendimataE Both are nice guns and I have the Pro CDP, but I must say that the GSR is turning into one of my favorite 1911s. Its difficult, but I think the GSR really beats my Kimber in fit and finish and build quality. Also machined internals is what I expect for a gun this price, not MIM parts like some found in my Kimber.

  • Is a beauty........

  • I have a M&P 9mm...but I love the sigs and was going to sell it and buy a 226 and a 1911..but this video just sold me big time ..Im searching the shops for one right now..keep my M&P and pick up this sexy gun !! Thanks for the vid !!

  • @ninemilmoe you maybe want to also take a look at the Sig revolution if you prefer fixed combat sights.

  • Wow. It's like a Sig had sex with a Colt and made one sexy, sexy baby. I may have to check into that.

  • @trumpetdood Its a very nice and reliable 1911. I really like the style.

  • @chanderson1 Did you ever get around to shooting it?

  • @trumpetdood Yes, but only 200 rounds through it so far. No jams or failures of any type and was one of the smoothest 1911s I've ever shot

  • @chanderson1 How's the out-of-the-box accuracy?

  • @trumpetdood It shot high about a 1/4" from point of aim. The day I took it to the range, I forgot to bring my tool kit and didnt have any way to adjust it . I 'm hoping to get it back out next week and dial it in.

  • @chanderson1 Good deal. The target sights on my Taurus PT99 can be adjusted with just a pocket knife (Rule 9: Always carry a knife) but those look a lot more durable. Keep us all updated man, it's definitely a sexy gun.

  • Good looking gun

  • great video man, im carrying an M&P 9mm now but the quality of a sig just seems unbeatable.

  • I love the profile on it, makes it look more modernized it also reduces the need for a lowered and flared ejection port as the slide is not fully rounded. BTW could not really tell, is the top of the slide flat???

  • @EMAN300 Its not flat, but the edges are not rolled as much as a traditional 1911.

  • you said the mags are from sig? back when i got both of mine they where made by chip mc but came with the gun. did you mean they are actually sig manufactured now or that they came with the gun?

  • @benbangui They came with the gun. I've got several CM mags and they are not the same...no markings on them so I assume they're from sig.

  • nice :) Sig 1911s are awesome!!! i own 2 :) a revolution TTT and a Commander railed nitro :) amazing quality and both shooters :) congrats on a new gun and great vid!

  • i LOVE my 1911's

I prefer the new'er style ones with the better sight skeletonised hammer etc so sigs little touch to the slide is pretty cool imo.

    great vid dude!

  • @nuttyape Thanks! Glad you liked it. I do appreciate the time you took to watch and leaving a comment!

  • nice looken gun i want 1 to carry i wouldnt own a carry gun that dosent have sights u can move to where as a shooter shot thats how all guns should look clean an that they will work sure dosent look like a hi point to me lol

  • Looking forward to the range report! Use some militec on the slide and frame rails to smoothen it up.

  • Great camera, background and of couse, 1911

  • SIG sure can make a beautiful gun. Great new addition and thanks for sharing!

  • The frame and slide are made to fit eachother. I mean, these guns aren't picked out of bucket of parts.

  • Beautiful pistol.

  • Thanks for sharing and making a vid on the GSR. Looking forward to your range report!

  • @TheFirearmsChannel thanks man! Hope to get to the range this weekend!

  • @DAN46404 Hi and thanks! MIM (metal injection molding) are usually found in some 1911s. Some people think that they are inferior parts. Most people switch out the MIM parts for "bullet proof" machined and forged parts. Most MIM parts are used in internal components that do not experience alot of wear throughout the life of the gun. You cannot tell if a 1911 has MIM parts unless you disassemble the internal workings of a gun or do a bunch of research. Hope that helps you out.

  • Very nice 1911 im thinking of getting one it reminds me of my sig p238 please do not change the wood grips pleeeeaase.

  • @MrOutlawDave Hahaha...the wood grips do look nice.

  • Nice.

  • That is a beautiful pistol there, thanks for the up close and personal view, cheers mate!

  • @elw619 Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!

  • Another great video bro. beautiful gun. i ended up getting rid of my kimber cdp and now i miss it. i'm thinking of either getting another one or getting one of these, i hope you get around to doing a comparison vid between the two

  • @matt4023 I'll try to get out to the range this weekend. Hopefully I can present a positive range report. From my first impressions of the fit and finish, I do think it will be a keeper. Always appreciate your comments and thanks for watching.

  • those GSR 1911s are awesome! I almost got one once but instead decided on an AR. I was extremely impressed with the fit and finish. they are the best kept secret in the 1911 world

  • @nicker3290 The fit and finish is what caught my eye. Sig Sauers craftsmen have done a really excellent job on this pistol.

  • Damn, that's a really nice handgun. My brother bought a Sig P229 for about $800 so they are a little pricey but I think the more you pay for one, the better quality it's going to be

  • @DerMeister47 Sigs GSR line is one of the best I've seen. For a company to venture into the 1911 market is somewhat risky, but Sig did their homework.
