Capital Punishment is done for those who have commited a crime, like murder, that the gov't feels is worthy of death. Wars are almost the same, usually ought to be a self-defense thing.

Murder, on the other hand, is done wtihout any just cause behind it, except to kill the person for fun. Abortion, done so person can live as they wish.
