@ThePaulaCracker Actually its called a reflective burn, its from snow reflecting rays into the eyes, you are suppose to wear special sunglasses to catch the rays before they hit the eyes, it actually burns the blood vess, around the eye and causes that pink coloration and increased color to the iris, to help protect it .... unfortunately it can cause blindness perm. but i think these guys figured out that its dumb!!

Basically because the grounds white because of the snow it reflects all the light that would be hitting the ground witch all the extra light burns the eyes over time just like if you went out for a tan to long. Snow blindness is very serous in servivle circumstances because it can blind you tell it heals if it gets to bad.
