The whole Bite Down Hard cd is awesome! I didn't like 'em with their original singer 'cause he was too screamy. This guy's more melodic, but still rough-sounding.
this guy rocks...(the singer) hes in a band now called modern superstar...with the drummer from bulletboys...they rock...theyre on youtube...checkem out
@billybarrou81 yeah my bad...i thought this singer was jamie fletcher....jamie fletcher was in britny fox around 2008 and only there a year or so...sorry...rock on britny fox
Everything about this clip is awesome....! The song, the video, "Headbanger's Ball" (The original version!), & the parent album "Bite Down Hard" is a must-hear for every "Britny Fox" fan! Long live classic metal!!!!!
I'm 25 and and I think music today is terrible. There was always this type of music playing in our house while I was growing up. Thanks mom and dad for being rockers!
The guitar riffs are out of this fucking world. Michael Kelly Smith could play the shit out of a guitar. Plus, I think Johnny Dee is really good on drums. Love this music.
This is an interesting video, considering it's now officially twenty years old. For some reason, the song sounds like Judas Priest - "You're Got Another Thing Coming". Still, I think it is one of the better songs on their album for 1991.
@WingChum I saw Doro a couple years ago. Johnny Dee plays drums for Doro so when I met the band, I asked him if Don Jillson and Tommy Paris were the same guy. He confirmed that they are.
Wow! This song is great! I only remember this band doing "Girlschool," "Long Way To Love," and "Save the Weak." This track kicks those songs's asses!!!
I saw these guys last night and even with Billy Childs as the only member, they decimated any band that came near them including Stephen Pearcy. There new vocalist kicks ass as well.
One of the reasons original singer \ Rhythm Guitarist (and band creater - 'Brittany Fox' was a welsh ancester of his) Dean Davidson left the band was because he wanted to sing with his own voice and NOT the Bon Scott (AC/DC) "impression" he was doing.
Davidson's next band 'Blackeyed Susan' will give you an insight into what Britny Fox would have sounded like had the other 3 agreed to change focus and e less glam\hair and more roc & roll.
Tommy Paris DOES sound better for this style though.
yeah well guess what i am running for president so vote for me or instead vote for a guy who's middle name is hussein or a guy who is 72 years old! metal will rule and marijuana will be legalized if you vote David Gavronsky for President in 2008! Haha
Sorry dean, Tommy had way more consistency and better pitch live. I was a huge fan of the origional, loved the records, but live was a huge dissapointment...sorry
this song is so cool.what i cant beleive is i stumbeled across it and never heard it before.i thought i knew every song from the 80z.i always loved britney fox.all versions.this song also lives on on my youtube video that im about to post.keep on rockin..raven
Love this song... Frankly I think BF with Tommy Paris was better than BF with Dizzy Dean Davidson. But BF, Stryper, Cinderella, Motley, etc ruled the 80s!
beacause we've lived it once and thats what makes it special- if u just keep "bringing back" and "remaking", it's just not as genuine as it was in the first place
Tommy didnt write this song he wrote almost nothing on this album it was already written when he was hired. The label had this record written almost entirely by outside writers the only reason any band member has credits for writing is because they were in the room . Ps
i know some of y'all like to relive the '80s in all, but music must evolve as it would anyway. not that this crap died it just sat on the back burner for a while. Me myself don't want this shit to come back.
All rockers and musicians and recording artists have there influences, and it seems to me most of them are from the '60s and '70s.
To VanishaVampire6 how true fuckin grunge shit killed all of the great 80's bands, and such a shame as well. They great bands and music of the 80's will never be equaled ever again.
One of the biggest overhypes and fallacies of the 20th century. Grunge didn't really "break" until 1992, even into 1993. Hair metal was killing itself off 4-5 years before that. Grunge, if anything, maybe was the final 2 nails in the coffin, but if you look at history, all the great bands (some hair metal) survived that crappy trend anyways..
well....any one with talent and a true fan base will survive any trend.
the '90s and '70s and maybe '60s were great overall, BUT look at the shit now? Or like i say about rap, you won't here the good stuff or the stuff that made music popular or great to beggin with, not saying it has to be popular but it just happens.
killing itself off 4-5 years before 1992? Dude , STFU , 1989 and 1990 were massive for bands like Warrant , XYZ , Winger and other killer artists. Get your facts right. Grunge sucked then and it sucks now. It was a corporate scam to spend less money to make more. Read it for what it was. Actually in about 2 months you can watch my movie about it...
Um, dude, how about you STFU? I have been studying the likes of heavy rock and metal since I have been 11 years old, and I am in my late 20's now. Where in my post did I even say I liked grunge? Answer - nowhere. And yes you are right, most of grunge did suck. If anything, I was simply stating that the notion that grunge "killed off" off most of these band SIMPLY WASN'T TRUE. I simply said the copy cats of copy cats, while still technically superior bands, helped dull this kind of music.
Um , dude , not only have I been a professional musician for 20 years and own a collection of over 12,000 cd's , but I also own the largest 80s Hard Rock / Metal label in the world. To top that off I am currently in a band with Mr Tommy Paris himself. So if you wanna compare dick sizes , you will lose every time , just get your facts in order before saying hair metal was killing itself by 1988. Wanna get owned again?
Wow. 12,000 cds. That MUST make somebody an expert. You probably couldn't name 12 different members of Black Sabbath over their history. Oh yah, Britney Spears has outsold Motorhead 25-1, I guess that makes her more 'worthwhile'. If you feel the likes Trixter, Winger, Firehouse, Warrant, Jackyl, even Britny Fox were "revolutionizing" rather than "stale-ing" (what happens when things get to stale??) the heavy hair rock scene between 1988ish to 1991ish, than that is your perogative.
It certainly is my prerogative and yes it does make me an expert. You want 12 Sabbath members? Iommi , Butler , Ozzy , Ward , Cozy Powell , Glenn Hughes , Tony Martin , Dio , Ron Keel (yes he was actually in the band for 2 days - check your history) , Ian Gillan , Bobby Rondinelli , Geoff Nichols. There you go hero...
Wow - again I own you. XYZ's first album went GOLD (that's 500,000 copies) and the second album sold 350,000. How do I know - BECAUSE I PLAYED WITH THEM!! HAHAHAHA - need to be slapped down again? Or wait , if I need to PROVE I played with them , maybe I should give you the youtube footage...
Then you're a bigger fuck-wit than I thought you were. And even worse , probably a British one at that. You know squat about music and can't spell for shit so I suggest you go back to jerking off to your Randy Rhoads pics and leave the music to the experts. Moron.
Now I'm a pro? Dude learn how to fucking read (and spell). I have been a pro musician for 20 years , own the largest 80s hard rock independent record label in the world and played on stage with more people than you've jerked off to your Randy pics.
When you are old enough to get INTO a bar , you can have an opinion - til then shut the FUCK up and LISTEN.
your argument is flawed completely, because you said 'leave the music to experts, ala you.
what makes you an expert.
and i got into a bar the other day. walked right in. with bouncers. and i watched a band play. a band much better than you have ever been.
and what is it with your fetish with guys jerking off over randy rhoads pics? his playing makes me hot, but as for being gay, sorry, ill leave that to the 'expert'
If you saw my list of accomplishments you would shit your diapers dude.
What makes me an expert? HAHA , let's see , 20 years on stage , 20 years of studying , collecting and analyzing Hard Rock and Metal , owning a successful label with almost 400 (thats right FOUR HUNDRED) artists.
I believe all of this makes me qualified as an 'expert'.
"power" trio?? more like a "no-power" trio mate. Well I am very confident that he is just as shyte on guitar as you are. That is VERY obvious. But you are a little fucking punk-ass kid with NO idea what it takes to make it in the music biz and certainly haven't got the talent to back it up. So give it a rest punk , learn the basics before you start thinking you are 'good'. There are millions better than you and are much higher than you in the food chain. I am one of them. Keep practicing
who are you? ure a no one. yeh im no one as well. well worldwide anyway. you say britny fox are great music, and that randy rhoads is shit. well guess what. randy rhoads is an acclaimed guitarist. britny fox are the laughing stock of the 80s hair metal bands. and where are they now? flipping burgers with you?
Who am I? Someone who has done a lot for the music business and travelled the world for the last 20 years. Where did I ever say Randy Rhoads was shit? I said YOU were shit not Randy. And Britny Fox have sold more albums than you'll ever dream about selling. LEARN YOUR INSTRUMENT AND YOUR HISTORY DOUCHEBAG. You can call Britny Fox 'has-beens' all you want. You're a 'never-was' and a 'never-will-be'. Your shitty attitude matches your shitty playing. Keep playing in front of your 5 mates.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
this whole argument started cos you said randy rhoads sucked dick. you suck dick.
you keep saying how awesome you are, but what have you actually done? nothing. and you keep saying learn my instrument, ive already outlearned britny fox. they are just shit
well you can shut up until your i see your albums in big stores, im pretty sure britney fox is bigger than youll ever be, sure they didnt get HUGE but they diserved to, thats more than you can say about yourself!
your deragotave comments will be the downfall of you and your label. Who are you to say people will or will not make it to stardom in this industry? Who are you? David Geffen?
Been doing this for years man , there will be no downfall of me OR my label. Who am I to say? The owner of a label who signs over 100 artists a year. The NEXT David Geffen. If bands / artists / musicians don't like getting critiqued they should get out of the business.
no it does exist (according to wiki) but his claim of over 400 bands being on it are wrong, consdiering that retrecords have only released 350 albums. and they released like a 100 albums on re-issue, without any bands being signed.
but yes, he does talk alot through his ass. and no one in the band he claims he is in (xyz :O wow, ive never even heard of them, they MUST be awesome) is part of retrecords. lmao
Both of you Aussies are fucked in the head and thats EXACTLY why you won't make it in this business - because you are untalented and clueless about music. Since you are both in the same shitty band I suggest you both find a real job because you fucking suck Angus Young's arse-hairs. Aussie twats.
I hate to say the obvious, but Rhoads isn't fit to play at the county fair in my hometown of Nowhere u.s.a. Britany Fox, even though they are the worst band in existence, have a real guitar player, not some Eddy Van Halen wanna be no talent loser.
how is that the obvious... britany fox had no good guitar players, and they werent even original. randy rhoads is one of the best guitarists ever. his guitar playing has so many levels, not just on the surface pentatonic re runs.
Nirvana and grunge definetly killed Rock ´n Roll, when i hear the metal bands with all these awesome riffs ... just can´t compare with a guys that sings Rape Me!!
I thought these dudes were fags back in the day...But this is actually pretty good....It's strange how time sometimes has a way of opening your mind....But I'll never like Poison....C'mon.
i think music wise it was good, but they sang what they did, did what they did because it was trendy. none of it was really original.
In the '80s I couldn't stand those makeup wearing, long haired wearing guys, but when GmR came out i liked them, i dug their stuff. they were dirtier then those pretty boy glam rock bitches.
but he was a mess which i found appealing as well as that song "welcome to the jungle".
It takes more than hair to make a dude glam. I saw no makeup on him. It seemed in the laste '80s guys were wearing less makeup, and thank goodness for that. lets concentrate on music and what you have to say.
im gonna see Britny Fox on tour April 27 in Huntington, WV. God damn I cant wait. Go to their myspace and see the dates and see if they are comin to you!!!!
Tommy is a GREAT guy, I am lucky enough to be playing in a cover band with him. This is a great video, and his vocals are top notch, he hits all these notes live, it's unreal!!!
All you pussy mother fucking haters can go back to listening to your hip hop fat booty black dog shit bass speaker thumping crap . This band and others like it rule . Fuck all ya hate . Fist to the air who think metal rules .

Steve92crue 3 years ago
hey mr.fudgepacker
check out what tokeNRez is saying about you.
its SO TRUE too hahahaha
Steve92crue 3 years ago
we're not actually in the same band
my band is a power trio. and i play guitar. and so does he
so ure a typical american yank. NO FUCKING IDEA
Steve92crue 3 years ago
"power" trio?? more like a "no-power" trio mate. Well I am very confident that he is just as shyte on guitar as you are. That is VERY obvious. But you are a little fucking punk-ass kid with NO idea what it takes to make it in the music biz and certainly haven't got the talent to back it up. So give it a rest punk , learn the basics before you start thinking you are 'good'. There are millions better than you and are much higher than you in the food chain. I am one of them. Keep practicing
RetrospectRecords 3 years ago
who are you? ure a no one. yeh im no one as well. well worldwide anyway. you say britny fox are great music, and that randy rhoads is shit. well guess what. randy rhoads is an acclaimed guitarist. britny fox are the laughing stock of the 80s hair metal bands. and where are they now? flipping burgers with you?
Steve92crue 3 years ago

This comment has received too many negative votes show
this whole argument started cos you said randy rhoads sucked dick. you suck dick.
you keep saying how awesome you are, but what have you actually done? nothing. and you keep saying learn my instrument, ive already outlearned britny fox. they are just shit
Steve92crue 3 years ago
well you can shut up until your i see your albums in big stores, im pretty sure britney fox is bigger than youll ever be, sure they didnt get HUGE but they diserved to, thats more than you can say about yourself!
rillleyyyrennee 3 years ago 2
there actually on the road touring right now......one out of the original 5 members is there...but yeah, there with stephen pearcy.
colonyvice 3 years ago
your deragotave comments will be the downfall of you and your label. Who are you to say people will or will not make it to stardom in this industry? Who are you? David Geffen?
colonyvice 3 years ago
Been doing this for years man , there will be no downfall of me OR my label. Who am I to say? The owner of a label who signs over 100 artists a year. The NEXT David Geffen. If bands / artists / musicians don't like getting critiqued they should get out of the business.
RetrospectRecords 3 years ago
ok then
colonyvice 3 years ago
steve92crue im on ur side for this arguement
retrospectrecords is a idiot lol
he is just talking out of his ass
if he rlly was a owner of a large record label
y would he waste his time arguing with u on youtube?
lol
retrospectrecords is a huge dumbfuck and probably just a 13 yr old kid making shit up
tokeNRez 3 years ago
no it does exist (according to wiki) but his claim of over 400 bands being on it are wrong, consdiering that retrecords have only released 350 albums. and they released like a 100 albums on re-issue, without any bands being signed.
but yes, he does talk alot through his ass. and no one in the band he claims he is in (xyz :O wow, ive never even heard of them, they MUST be awesome) is part of retrecords. lmao
Steve92crue 3 years ago
lol wow haha thats rlly funny
and im sure the biggest stage that xyz ever played on was in the back of sum run down bar lol
tokeNRez 3 years ago
if they got a stage :P
Steve92crue 3 years ago
Both of you Aussies are fucked in the head and thats EXACTLY why you won't make it in this business - because you are untalented and clueless about music. Since you are both in the same shitty band I suggest you both find a real job because you fucking suck Angus Young's arse-hairs. Aussie twats.

u r so wrong @ RR. AND BRITTANY FOX is far more talented than anything you could like.
volvo4377 3 years ago
I hate to say the obvious, but Rhoads isn't fit to play at the county fair in my hometown of Nowhere u.s.a. Britany Fox, even though they are the worst band in existence, have a real guitar player, not some Eddy Van Halen wanna be no talent loser.
antccccc 3 years ago
how is that the obvious... britany fox had no good guitar players, and they werent even original. randy rhoads is one of the best guitarists ever. his guitar playing has so many levels, not just on the surface pentatonic re runs.
Steve92crue 3 years ago
this guy is great, but RANDY RHOADES was the guitarist of the 80's.
volvo4377 3 years ago
this song very fuckin metal \m/

ps this song is good no shit but the old fox is better listen to girl school and see that song jams man !
bigbadge107 3 years ago
fuck no the old singer was 10 times better girl school for ever yeeeeeaaaaaaaaaa.
bigbadge107 3 years ago
You think this sounds good....look for the live version of this from 2007, that singer still sounds just like the original cut. Real good.
80SorNUTHIN 3 years ago
I thought these dudes were fags back in the day...But this is actually pretty good....It's strange how time sometimes has a way of opening your mind....But I'll never like Poison....C'mon.
fukinblowme 3 years ago
i think music wise it was good, but they sang what they did, did what they did because it was trendy. none of it was really original.
In the '80s I couldn't stand those makeup wearing, long haired wearing guys, but when GmR came out i liked them, i dug their stuff. they were dirtier then those pretty boy glam rock bitches.
StillaVirgin 3 years ago
If you look at AXL in the Welcome to Jungle video, he was just as "glam" as anybody else at the time.
JohnnyangelNIU 3 years ago
but he was a mess which i found appealing as well as that song "welcome to the jungle".
It takes more than hair to make a dude glam. I saw no makeup on him. It seemed in the laste '80s guys were wearing less makeup, and thank goodness for that. lets concentrate on music and what you have to say.
StillaVirgin 3 years ago
Man this song rocks!!! I liked some of their older stuff too, but this song just jams. Man I miss those days.
80SorNUTHIN 3 years ago
