When I was little, my mom took me to some doctorto be evaluated to see if I was autistic. They said I might be autistic. For the rest of my life there was no mention of autism. But I almost never hang out with people, and I hate talking to people, I was more intrested in cartoons than my peers (And I still am.) Now, I'm almost 14 and people say I'm quiet and shy, but I hate being called that. I'd rather be called emo or something. And, believe it or not, I want to be autistic. I don't know why,
It's not a disease, but it does need a cure. 1 out of 115 are diagnosed with autism in the usa. as of now, it's pretty much an epidemic. If something doesn't change or if a cure isn't found, what do you think that ratio will be when our kids have kids? and so on and so forth? USA is pretty much the only country that has this high of a percentage, so obviously something isn't right.

People tend to forget that because Autism is a spectrum disorder we can test the effectiveness of any treatement on a person with severe symptoms. It is easy to give a child with speech delay or mild behavoural issues a placebo and then have parents note changes they think are real, But try the treatement on someone one who has not spoken or looked directly at you in thirty plus years and you'll know if it works.

My answer would be to first break the autistic child out of their shell, and give them psychological/pedagogical help so they can expose themselves to the world and adapt to it during his/her childhood (all of which worked quite well for me).
If that fails, then maybe I could see a "cure" as a last resort, if that is what the person's guardian thinks is best.

I was the same way when I was diagnosed with Autism (regressive). But eventually with some therapy, I was able to start communicating again. I also know for a fact that so many of our friends who have kids with autism are discovering that their kids have mercury toxicity. The question is where did this mercury come from? I also know of a few who were totally healthy normal kids who regressed after vaccinations. This does not mean everyone is affected but there are many kids who are susceptible.
The only way I know how to conquer my Asperger's is through small "doses" of socialisation :D and to further this you need the help of other people :)

If any parrents have autistic children take them to a martial arts instructor. Tell him/her that your child is a special need child and may need individual or private instruction. The challenges that martial arts give the autistic children often reudce the symptoms of autism. Martial arts, in my oppinion is the best weapon against autism good luck.

My 5 yr old son has severe autism in june he was diagnosed with severe MR as well. He has been on chelation therapy for 6 months and now the diagnosis is mild autism and mild MR- he functions as a 2 yr old in all areas compared to skills scattering from 0-8 months in june. He also takes zeolite- we started with that and it cleared the pathways for the chelation.

My answer would be to first break the autistic child out of their shell, and give them psychological/pedagogical help so they can expose themselves to the world and adapt to it during his/her childhood (all of which worked quite well for me).
If that fails, then maybe I could see a "cure" as a last resort, if that is what the person's guardian thinks is best.

I was the same way when I was diagnosed with Autism (regressive). But eventually with some therapy, I was able to start communicating again. If vaccines did actually do something of the sorts to your son, it can't be Autism he has, and that's if your theory on vaccines is truly correct. Do some research on Autism, most scientists will agree it is most likely do to the genetic makeup of somebody.

I also know for a fact that so many of our friends who have kids with autism are discovering that their kids have mercury toxicity. The question is where did this mercury come from? I also know of a few who were totally healthy normal kids who regressed after vaccinations. This does not mean everyone is affected but there are many kids who are susceptible.

If any parrents have autistic children take them to a martial arts instructor. Tell him/her that your child is a special need child and may need individual or private instruction. The challenges that martial arts give the autistic children often reudce the symptoms of autism. Martial arts, in my oppinion is the best weapon against autism good luck.

autism is such a general term that basically means you have something abnormal about your brain and obviously some of these things can be cured but for the most part they cant and these videos give people false hope. Also aspergers isnt fucking autism its a character trait that's been given a name.

@northberlin for your info, Asperger syndrome is a form of autism. Hope is what has actually improved the lives of a lot of autistic children. If not they would now be rotting in special homes.

My 5 yr old son has severe autism in june he was diagnosed with severe MR as well. He has been on chelation therapy for 6 months and now the diagnosis is mild autism and mild MR- he functions as a 2 yr old in all areas compared to skills scattering from 0-8 months in june. He also takes zeolite- we started with that and it cleared the pathways for the chelation.

There are retarded kids and not retarded kis. The really retarded autistic kids, that's good but I want to mention when it is an excuse for people to raise thier kids like fools. Or unknowingly raised to be transgender. Why are more BOYS autistic? Becuase most parents dont want the world to see they put the soul of a girl in a boys body. I hate when these parents use the name of Autism to cover their, you could say, failure as a parent.

Aspergers and the "autism spectrum" seems the latest way of calling the especially clever people "crazy" (which is why I'm PROUD to be called an Asperger in this society).
Surely some "transgendered" and other types may use the term for themselves, but Aspergers IS REAL appart from this (CT and SPEC scans attest to this fact)...
