  • Phil could you do a video about the Village? I don't want to pressure you or anything. I've always wanted to go there but may not have the chance *sighs*

  • Thank you so much for sharing Phil

  • Spectacular tour of NYC's greatest moments in marketing....gawd I miss that city at Xmas time! Thanks so much for posting this!

  • Wonderful! Thanks for sharing these with those of us who can't make it to the City this year.

  • @boliyou My pleasure. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  • Those are some chic displays... You did a great job of capturing them.

  • @fehquig Thanks. I think they were especially good this year.

  • I would kill for those hounds tooth stockings. I would.

  • @strangeparty They are for sale, but the price is murderous :)

  • And just how did you happen to know that? LOL

I hope you have a great Christmas. :)

  • Thank you so much for Beautiful Vid.

    Happy holidays Boss.

    Have a good one!

  • @OboroginNY Thanks. It was good to see you and Anita last week.

  • It's amazing to me how they come up with such elaborate and fascinating displays every year!! Thanks so much for taking us along Phil!! Blessings, Ang

  • @GramsandPapi My bet is that they are already working on next year's designs.

  • wow those are freekin amazing, thanks so much for showing them....i especially loved the first ones before you cut to the apple store...the amount of detail and work in them is incredible...we dont have anything like that here.

  • @orju The window designers at the big stores are well paid artisans. Other designers from all over the world come to borrow ideas from them.

  • Fantastic!!!!

  • Thanks. Do they go all out in Korea? Is Christmas big there?

  • Christmas is a unique holiday here. Not that big of a shopping holiday yet, but there are a lot of displays. If Jo and I get to some of the major shopping areas, we'll be sure to photo/video them!

  • thanks again for sharing these with us. I just love the videos when you're out and about New York

  • Thanks. I've enjoyed your NY videos too. Next time you're here you've got to look me up.

  • Thanks Phil for posting this - I usually go every year and stand in the cold and see the windows but this year I'm not coming in until 1/9 to see Bye Bye Birdie.

  • This year it hasn't been so cold, so it's easier to go out and look. Have fun at Birdie.

  • Those were awesome..

  • It is big and grand and very New York. Thanks for watching, Cory.

  • what beautiful window displays..... Great Video!

  • Some of the displays are works of art. I especially like the Queen of Hearts window. The video doesn't do it justice in terms of detail and perspective, etc. But I think you can get the gist.

  • I'm loving these videos Phil.

They sure do know how to "do" Christmas in NYC don't they. I'd love to visit at this time of year.

    Maybe one day? :)

BTW What type of camera have you got? It shoots good quality & i'm thinking of getting a newer one myself..

  • This video was shot with a Canon Vixia 20. The last one was shot with a Sony Cybershot. Both do pretty good quality HD. The Canon has more manual control options and shoots 1080 resolution, although I never upload more than 720 on YT.

  • Thanks for the info Phil.

  • one word----- AWESOME

  • Thanks Paul. I saw a couple of vids of decorations in Cornwall today. They were very nice, more human scale. New York's decorations are on steroids.

  • Much prefer the look of your lights in NYC, than the tacky ones where I live.

  • 1:27 - FUN!

OK, so most of this is fun...

    I wanted to write something.

    Merry, Merry!

  • It was fun. Glad you came along.

  • I think it's so cool that they had YOU in the window at Bloomies!!

  • I thought about dumping a DMCA on them, but I was overcome with Christmas spirit. (Make your own joke here.)

  • Tis the season...

I hope you, my good tuber friend, has a joyous Holidays season AND that your New Year is filled with love, good will, prosperity and peace... Sincerly Yours... Stu

  • Thanks Stu and same to you. Let's hope it's a better year to come.

  • Five Stars!!

  • !!!!!

  • Very magical!

  • Some of the designers are very talented.

  • Neat stuff!

  • Gracias.

  • This is just beautiful Phil! Thanks so much for filming this. I loved your cameo!!

  • I don't know where they got the footage.

  • Purdy.

  • It's real nice.

  • I love the "shoe tree". Thanks for sharing this will all of us Phil.

  • Me too. I thought the whole shoe window was reminiscent of Andy Warhol's days as a commercial artist. He was know for his drawings of shoes.

  • it's nice to see some effort made to brighten up our dark winter nights. It's bleak here in my town in west cork ireland, no lights this year, we're broke.

  • I am happy to share ours with you.

  • thank u so much 4 this. i am in australia so it is always summer here at xmas, but somehow i still have to associate it with winter as the rest of the world does, so i luv these displays of NYC in the wintertime. i hope to see more. hope you do a NYE one maybe. i have lived in america a bit and u realy have a way with your camera of showing me where i was then.

thank you so much..., thanks. i would love to see more of winter there, it doesn't even snow where i am.

  • Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. The problem with New Year's Eve is that all the action is concentrated in Times Square and it is utter madness. I've done it, but probably never again.
