Salut, merci pour la vidéo, j'ai la même TV mais en 200Hz et 81 cm. Quand je télécharge des film en DVD-Rip que je le met sur clé usb sa passe nickel, seulement quand je télécharge des films en HD (.mkv) la TV ne reconnais pas le format !! Comment faire ? merci
Sony ne reconnait pas en général le mkv :( même la ps3, essaye sur ta box ? ça marche sur neuf box évolution par exemple sinon tu dois pouvoir faire qq chose avec le réseau et ton ordi. Perso j'ai branché un ordi sur ma TV désormais car la TV connecté c'est moyen à la fin !

@Ronny27562 No he means 100 Hz. there are 3 different analog color television systems. NTSC(mostly North America + Japan), PAL and SECAM (All the rest of the world). PAL and SECAM have 50Hz where NTSC has 60Hz refresh rate. PAL and SECAM have higher resolutions though. Motion flow technology doubles the amount frames for smoother effect, it is logic that 60 becomes 120 and 50 becomes 100. So only North America, half of South America , Japan and a few others have 120Hz instead of 100Hz
i think ex500 uses sharp lcd panel/ccfl backlight than ex710 that uses samsung panel/led backlight...sharp panels is more vibrant than samsung... thanks for the interesting review...

all the reviews for this model i search on the internet shows that it does not have Internet functionality and therefore no Ethernet port but your tv does. O_O
For this TV there is no internet functionality right it's mean there is no navigator like firefox or chrome. So you can only access the web through dedicated application like the one for youtube. The connection is made with the ethernet port but you can buy a wifi key optional. I recommand the ethernet port because it's faster and you usb will stay free to watch movies on it !! And if your internet connection is far from your tv just buy a powerline internet adapter kit.
anyway i think that this kind of internet connection solution from sony will be soon obsolete because sony is the main partner of google TV and it will be far better than anything we can get right now with this TV (regarding internet connection)

I was thinking of buying the 40 inch version of this tv for gaming with my xbox 360. prob is that i only have the hd component cable it supports 1080i but it isnt the conventional hdmi cable. would it still look good or should i find another buy?

This model as well as all Sony EX400/500/700 models have no input lag for for PS3 or Xbox360 gaming. I have the 40" EX500 and couldn't be happier with the performance of these models. Happy gaming guys!!

@MrJeckel The HDMI port is not necessary to achieve 1080p output unless your 1080p hdtv cannot accept a 1080p signal via component or simply not accept 1080p resolution via VGA. But the benefits of HDMI offer a slightly superior and cleaner image compared to component or VGA

@airefc I prefer to watch movie with the usb key, game with PS3 and watching my youtube subscription udapted video. I try to add some subscription that i like (tech news) and for my kid (like cartoon). I connected the tv sound out (optical) to my denon amplifier. So for PS3 the sound is coming inside the TV with HDMI and going out directly to the amplifier with the optical out. it's working very well without delay. For living room better check the same TV with 37" or bigger screen...
Yes i am using hdmi. Regarding Youtube with internet connection... i just find that i can sort in my favorit channel the video available with the following option : last one upload on youtube, most views, best grade... This is great. The only bad point is that everytime you choose another channel you have to go back to you option menu to choose the sort you like.

Hi, i also have an PS3 and own the 32EX500 for about a week. I can say the quality is incredible. I have a way better gaming experience than i had on my previous LCD (LG full HD). I bought this tv for €579.
Sorry i have no idea of the response time because sony didn't communicate on this... Personally i found it great for my PS3 !! (much better than my previous sony 3 years old TV)
Sony does not communicate anything about the response time. My experience is that when i select the Photo or Graphic Scene, i notice slower response btween pressing a button and the motion on the screen. Some games are even hard to play normaly (like Resident Evil). But when using the Auto (or Game) mode, the problem is gone.

Regarding Youtube with internet connection... i just find that i can sort in my favorit channel the video available with the following option : last one upload on youtube, most views, best grade... This is great. The only bad point is that everytime you choose another channel you have to go back to you option menu to choose the sort you like.

Don't use it with something else than hdmi !!!! Still the VGA is ok for computer if you don't have hdmi out in your computer like me ...

There should be a video on youtube with unput test of this TV and i can't really see the big deal of the input lag.
I was worried about it also but after that video im conviced it's not that big of a deal.

Hi, i also have an PS3 and own the 32EX500 for about a week. I can say the quality is incredible. I have a way better gaming experience than i had on my previous LCD (LG full HD). I bought this tv for €579.

Sorry i have no idea of the response time because sony didn't communicate on this... Personally i found it great for my PS3 !! (much better than my previous sony 3 years old TV)

Sony does not communicate anything about the response time. My experience is that when i select the Photo or Graphic Scene, i notice slower response btween pressing a button and the motion on the screen. Some games are even hard to play normaly (like Resident Evil). But when using the Auto (or Game) mode, the problem is gone.
