phantom before i order a jg bar 10 with ksc .30 i feel the need to get a little more power and range got any mods that wont hurt the wallet cuz im saving for a ghille like dodges oh and my feilds are like yours only a small portion and if i get the bar stock with .30 would i be able to hit a target about 60 m or 80 m max with out having to raise the gun and just aim through the scope?

You will be able to hit 60m flat (once you set it up) Obviously 80m is a lob shot. Power is not everything and depending on the density of your forest, can work against you due to minimum safe distances. If you look it up, someone simply increased the compression in their bar10 and gained almost 100fps. Concentrate on yoir field craft and stealth is my best advice to get results.

I got my G-spec a couple of days ago! I'm going on my first Hunteering trip with some friends in the next couple of weekends. we probably won't be as amazing and hardcore as you guys, but practice makes perfect! Thanks for the inspiration!

No problem. Use 0.30g pellets. I hope you are happy with it once you get it setup.

I have about $160 to spend on airsoft stuff. and i have a leaf ghillie jacket. and a L96 styled sniper rifle. Would you suggest i get a better sniper rifle (Like a g-spec) or should i spend my money on more camo? (Like pants and some head wear)

Much depends on your games and experiences. The nature of the site and seasons you play in also dictates what ranges are typical. If you find you are seen most of the time, get better camo. Some headwear is important. Ghillie Trousers are not essential, unless very open terrain.

If you miss shots most of the time, then a new rifle could be a good idea. The BAR10 I got was better than I expected and once I fitted new hop rubber it shoots really nicely.

phantom does your m40 really go 550fps with 0.40g bb's?if so how much did the upgrades cost?(if it is)

No, it only goes 550-570fps with 0.20g

The 0.40g will only being going around 400fps at a guess, but retian the energy a long time compared to lighter pellets like 0.29g SGM this gives the heavier pellets a longer range despite lower velocity.

also, i have a question since you personally own the tanaka m40a1, is the bolt the same as the m700 and m24, or is it shorter/longer? thanks

All those tanaka rifles are m700 rifle platforms in different stocks with different barrel lengths/outer barrels.

I like m40a1 as it is lighter than the others and shorter. The hop conversion kit is designed to fit m40a1 and AICS barrel lengths too. Other rifles need different barrel lengths or DIY barrel spacers to hold the inner barrel. Only rifle that trumps the m40a1 is the LTR (small amount shorter & lighter).Yet I like the m40a1 furniture better and I find wood stocks get dinged. GH ;)
