its sad to look at new cartoons on cartoon network, and can someone tell me if nickelodeon and jetix still exists, because i dont have cabel and in the 90s i could watch this on satellite dish
@MrMarkisa89 Nickelodeon is still around but the only cartoons they show consistently are Spongebob, and a few others. Jetix is now Disney XD and they show a bunch of live action shows that disney either gave up on or felt needed more airtime. Most of their animated stuff got pushed back massively, getting 1-7 am timeslots most of the time.

The characters are acting out of character, the animation is horrible, and Keith David (Goliath) actually monologues at the end of each episode talking about the 'moral' of the story. It's definitely better to look into the comics Weisman worked on instead.

3rd season was done after the departure of Greg Weisman , who wrote the first two, hence the decline in quality and the rubbish storyline . I really wish he could continue this cartoon , Disney didn't give him enough time and wanted to reduce the budget drastically because it was not as bankable as they wanted to I hope Disney sells the rights one day, they are in no position to continue this show by themselves with the rubbish they have been putting out ever since. A movie would be awesome too

ok i must admit season probably wasn't the edgiest as season 1 and 2, but it was still an interesting season to watch nonetheless........and on the plus side, the intro kicks ass!!!!!!!! lucky for me i downloaded the instrumental on limewire some years back.
The GC season may have sucked, but it has the BEST intro. I just wish there was a version without the noise from the episode clips. What idiots think that is an ok thing to do. The growls can stay though. Also, would mind more canon episodes with that CGI.

I do like this intro. The season 1 and 2 intro are better. I didn't realize their was so much dislike for this intro and season. Season 3 was not as good as 1 and 2, but I still enjoyed it. My humble opinion.

Wow, I haven't seen the Goliath Chronicles in years, I forgot that the intro was so completely different. To be honest, for me, Gargoyles ended with Hunter's moon. Its just seemed lie such a good place to finish the show.
@ILIKECYNIC That might be because the creator of Gargoyles Greg Weisman, left the show after the first episode of Goliath Chronicles and that when the show went in a different direction than Weisman intended.
@ILIKECYNIC Technically, the show did end with Hunter's moon in a canonical sense. The creator of Gargoyles was only able to write the first episode of Season 3, which was the only good one. Since he was unable to be involved in the subsequent episodes, he considers all of them to be non-canon and his comic book continuation made that quite clear. I may not have read the comic books, but I hear most people find them favorable. If only those adventures could be animated, it would be a dream.
Go buy the trade paper backs produced by Slave Labor Graphics if you haven't already. It continues the story from the end of season 2. The more of the trades they sell, the better chance of them continuing the storyline.
It was screwed up they changed the theme and went onto a "new saga" before finishing up all of the story archs from Gargoyales. I think the only original story arch that actually played out all the way was the McBeth one, since he was killed by the Weird Sisters.
ur right..the older intro WAS much better...but this one is more visually appealing..and the back-ground score is cool seeing as how the legend of the gargoyles was already established...so this isnt as bad as some people say it is.

They started a video game franchise with the makers of the Final Fantasy Series, POTC speaks for itself, and theyre making some cool shit like a live action Prince of Persia. What Id really like to see and hope to God they do is revive this series. That would be fucking awesome!
prince of persia is a movie based off a video game, and none off those movies were ever any good. they already screwed up cause they hired jake gylenhall to star. note he's not persian and doesn't even look remotely persian.
Both shows were modern, they were only made about a year a part. It's just this one had lower quality animation and shoddy writing. They tried to make it more about discrimination and hatred and X-men esque which it was never supposed to be.
I don't know why they went with a different intro for this season, and even though the animation is interesting and different, the first intro (without Goliath's monologue) was much more epic and had a greater effect.
I don't understand something. Gargoyles season 1 and 2 were extremely well done and popular. Why was did they change it into this Goliath Chronicles and take out everything that made the show great?

Maybe they thought characters like Demona were too scary for kids, and instead of marketing for an older audiance and cut what bullshit the show had, they dumb it down. Disney is failing big time, marketing only towards kids is stupid, what they should do is branch out to multipule demographics and produce mature themed shows and movies like Gargoyles as well as the shit they have now.
Well apparently they only had planned on producing two seasons. But since it was so popular at the time they produced a third season. They simply didn't have enough funding for a fourth.

ok i must admit season probably wasn't the edgiest as season 1 and 2, but it was still an interesting season to watch nonetheless........and on the plus side, the intro kicks ass!!!!!!!! lucky for me i downloaded the instrumental on limewire some years back.

The GC season may have sucked, but it has the BEST intro. I just wish there was a version without the noise from the episode clips. What idiots think that is an ok thing to do. The growls can stay though. Also, would mind more canon episodes with that CGI.

it pissed me off that they moved this series to cable when the Goliath Chronicles started, so I never got to see it when I was young. Couldn't afford that fancy shmancy cable back then. I think I was just going into high school when this came out. OH man, the nostalgia wave has hit me.

I do like this intro. The season 1 and 2 intro are better. I didn't realize their was so much dislike for this intro and season. Season 3 was not as good as 1 and 2, but I still enjoyed it. My humble opinion.

@Deathslayer86 funny you say that because this show almost got sued for such a close representation of a violent hate group (KKK). In the end the judge decided it is fine because of the historical nature having no copyright therefor it was decided that children would not be harmfully affected.

Wow, I haven't seen the Goliath Chronicles in years, I forgot that the intro was so completely different. To be honest, for me, Gargoyles ended with Hunter's moon. Its just seemed lie such a good place to finish the show.

@ILIKECYNIC That might be because the creator of Gargoyles Greg Weisman, left the show after the first episode of Goliath Chronicles and that when the show went in a different direction than Weisman intended.

@ILIKECYNIC Technically, the show did end with Hunter's moon in a canonical sense. The creator of Gargoyles was only able to write the first episode of Season 3, which was the only good one. Since he was unable to be involved in the subsequent episodes, he considers all of them to be non-canon and his comic book continuation made that quite clear. I may not have read the comic books, but I hear most people find them favorable. If only those adventures could be animated, it would be a dream.

Go buy the trade paper backs produced by Slave Labor Graphics if you haven't already. It continues the story from the end of season 2. The more of the trades they sell, the better chance of them continuing the storyline.

It was screwed up they changed the theme and went onto a "new saga" before finishing up all of the story archs from Gargoyales. I think the only original story arch that actually played out all the way was the McBeth one, since he was killed by the Weird Sisters.

ur right..the older intro WAS much better...but this one is more visually appealing..and the back-ground score is cool seeing as how the legend of the gargoyles was already established...so this isnt as bad as some people say it is.

I dont know, theyre starting to be cool as hell again. They started a video game franchise with the makers of the Final Fantasy Series, POTC speaks for itself, and theyre making some cool shit like a live action Prince of Persia. What Id really like to see and hope to God they do is revive this series. That would be fucking awesome!

Both shows were modern, they were only made about a year a part. It's just this one had lower quality animation and shoddy writing. They tried to make it more about discrimination and hatred and X-men esque which it was never supposed to be.

Maybe they thought characters like Demona were too scary for kids, and instead of marketing for an older audiance and cut what bullshit the show had, they dumb it down. Disney is failing big time, marketing only towards kids is stupid, what they should do is branch out to multipule demographics and produce mature themed shows and movies like Gargoyles as well as the shit they have now.

This show was never truly intended for young kids, but rather an "older" audience. Kids just happened to watch it, and some of the smarter ones got it!

Hey, this opening is really not bad. I find it even better, than the first opening. However, IMO it is the only good part about the 3 season. Ugh, why did they not stick to the greatness of season 1 and 2...Gargoyles was such an emmerald in the world of cartoons.
