  • What does DEVO say about OWS? Can you say all their prophecies coming true?

  • Alan>Josh

any day, his drumming on the first album was especially sensational.

  • Mark's idea of the military industrial complex was way ahead of it's time. These guys had the right idea of what the New World Order's intent was all along. To De-evolve. To take away everything we've fought for like freedom of "eveything" not just choice.

  • If it wasn't for the glasses and hair, many people probably would have called Mark a pretty boy. He always seemed so aloof. I like this band more and more lately and I've collected all of their remastered classic albums. (I already had their 5th and 6th albums on CD (on the Collectables label.) I hope they remaster those, too.

  • @dinosaurjr420 And I was just listening to that!

That was a fail on my part :)

  • I'm blanking out here, what're they playing in the back? Ohhh, come on Android you know this!

  • @RevAndroid it's the freedom of choice theme, spud-droid!

  • According to the liner notes for "DEVO Live 1980" Dualdisc, thet were REALLY angry about the sound system problems caused by broadcast companiy's equipment and had some open confrontations with crew during the performance, late edited out

  • what is the name of the tune that segues into 'whip it?'

or is just an live arrangement?

  • @MadJohnEscapes yeehhh i was thinking the same thing..

  • @MadJohnEscapes It's called the "Freedom of Choice Theme" and it's a live-only thing. :)

  • great quality. its like looking at a modern broadcast but with a postive message

    thank you

  • brilliant

  • Ah, Alan, while Josh is awesome, we miss you! Hope you are well out there!

  • i'd love to whip him good

  • Yes, but this one IS particularly fine.

    Thanks again!

  • Many, many, MANY thanks for one of the most interesting of the Devo vids on YouTube -- a terrific interview with Mark, a rare look at the Fab 5 behind the scenes in rehearsal, and all from 1982, the exact moment when these brave visionaries were at the very top of their game. I join clownpants in begging for more, down on my knees in doggie submission! Look at me with my mouth waterin'!

If you please, sir, I want some more!

  • there is a lot of videos of 1982's shows here on youtube... Duty Now...

  • Jesus that was quick of them to put this up on the clubdevo website, I just saw this a few days ago like a day after this guy first put it up. Mark is hawt

  • And also, please tell us there is more footage. Please, please.

  • Never should have let Alan go.

  • Josh is better IMO. I do think that he brings a new energy to the band and saved the band.

  • Cool interview and the bits of the Smart Patrol solo makes it even sweeter.

  • :3

    I'll tap that

  • @cumdumpsterSF - what a great screen name !

  • this is pure gold. no way is gold for cash getting a hold of this.

  • Awesome-----amazing find! The quality is insane!! Very rare footage, especially the EZ listening verz of Girl-U-Want!

  • wow! where did you find this?

  • GREAT find Alain!

  • best band ever

  • Thanks for uploading this man. I, too, would like to see Big Mess and other songs.

  • great band ever!!!
