i don't care if that's what you've experienced mate. people say they experience Demonic possession. the OS is not all. you can very well have had a slow and bloated experience with windows if the hardware was not up to run it. the experience with a computer depends on so many factors that your list starts to look narrow minded. if you want to make such a comment withput a "dickhead" like me challenging it, you'll have to meassure the experience on Hardware that fits the OS.

Apple makes a suite for you.

Windows gives you an open system and some programmes but then tell you, "feel free to swap whatever you want to" you can do that on mac OS too, but they'll pay no attention to compatibility and whatnot.

BSD is for servers and Netbooks, so a casual user will have a limited suite of apps for the very basics of networking and such.

On Mac OS you don't have dll file, regedit problemes, virus problemes, on windows 7 you get infected by just cliking a website. Snowleopard is good, def like it. Its great using a computer that doesn't have a million starup applications and error messages constantly bugging me. And its nice to just drag and drop a icon to install a application rather than go through a long ass install process that windows has; and of course removing applications is as simple as hiting delete, no long process :D OSX is just more streamlined without all the bullshit that comes with windows.

The mac is built for speed, I have used windows my entire life, minus the last 2 years when I switched to apple. Also I would encourage you to look at some of the features in leopard. Things like quick look and preview, where you can look at files without opening them just by clicking it and hitting spacebar. That is just 1 example, there are tons of other little features that help make you appreciate the Mac OS a little more. If you like games however or want to customize the look of the os and get into the technical side then the mac isnt for you.

I just put this on my hackintosh and upgraded from 10.5.6. And I did get alot of gigs back on my harddrive. I did have have to update the sleeper kext to be able to update to 10.6.2 from apple and change my dsdt but it is working great now
