In that interview Jodorowsky was answering if he considered himself a movie maker, artist or another thing, then he used the phone as a parallel example; the phone nowdays does much thing, and an etiquete like phone is not enough to describe what it does. Neither "Artist" or "Moviemaker" will never describe what Jodorowsky is.

They are talking about different points of views on totally different topics. One is expressing how you can't perceive movies the same on a phone the other is simply saying that technology has advanced so much that a movie that could only be shown on big screen can now be seen on a telephone. Jodorowsky's not talking about the Pros/Cons of it.. just simply expressing a statement on it.

To make clear, that things we normally identify as something fixed due to our social norms, are not always what we are being taught they are.
