Because he's the head vampire. Max is the one that got the Lost Boys to drink his blood. Because of that, they are under his command for all eternity. They didn't choose that, it's not like serving a god or a king where you can turn your servitude on and off, they are bound by the forces that be and do not have a choice.

There's still alot of scenes out there that weren't show on the Special Edition DVD and Blue Ray . Theres a scene were Laddies talking to Star and one were The Lost Boys walk in on Michael and star in the cave etc.. This is my favorite of the ones shown on the Dvd , i love those dirt bikes they ride .

And this would not have given up that Max was the leader. He already told the Boys not to go to his place of business, so it only makes since for them to bone out when they see him coming up.

Plus we don't know if this is before or after they met Micheal, I'm guessing after. Maybe they went to test Lucy out, or weren't into having Max want a mother figure around.

this tribes is a prequel, I think that was bad form to do with original casts. They could have done a 10 years later part 2. Different set of vamps moved in, frog bros still around, but most of the original cast gone having moved away from vamp city. Of course, I'm not a director but going for a prequel like this so far after the original just seems like bad form.

according to Corey Fieldman and wikipedia it is a sequel not a prequel. Furthermore Wildstorm comics release a mini-series that bridges the gap between the first movie and the second movie. The mini-series will explain in detail about the frog brothers.

I won't lie; I had high hopes when I found out about a sequel of Lost Boys...

But then I readed the comments; then I checked the petition for the release to cinemas... And then I saw the trailer... And I really wanted to shoot someone. I still want to...

It's like a Joke. The first movie it's epic; but the sequel looks more like an excuse to make money luring the the fans of the old one.

Well,if there is a sequel to The Lost Boys,it depends. It was a big 80's pre-gothic genre in its day. Now,BLADE trilogy is getting more hype. Just in my honest opinion.
