You don't bode too well for the arrowhead collecting community when every time you find a point the "cha-ching" sound is heard. That's why most professional archaeologists think we're grave robbers who are out to profit off of artifacts.
Yeah, I suppose people could get the impression that I'm in it for money. Not so though. I would never sell a point. Every one is precious to me. My use of the "cha-ching" simply signifies the "money shot," as it's called - the moment the point is pulled from the soil. It captures the feeling most collectors get at that moment pretty well, I think. Sort of like "Boo-yaa!" is for fishermen :) Gotta go watch your pig Gar catch now... Thanks for watching/commenting...
I only hunt in fields where I have permission from the landowner. After being threatened to be shot, and hollered at a few times, I learned my lesson :)
But yeah, exactly, lots of walking and looking = arrowhead collection.
Southern Wisconsin, Chris. This is a very special site (obviously!) with everything from Clovis, Folsom, Plainview, Agate Basin, Hardins, Greenbriers, Pine Trees, and the rest through Middle and Late Archaic, Woodland, and Mississippian. As a bonus, it even has the remains of an early farmstead, where I find really old buttons, clay pipes, clay and glass marbles, old doll parts. Best site EVER!!! Thanks for watchin!
Thanks everyone for watchin my videos. I'd like to explain some of the choppy editing. I love to see vids with broad pans of a whole site, too. But some of my sites are just so distinctive, and very near cities, so I gotta edit out some of the "dead giveaways" so my competitors can't find my sites! Sorry! But like all of you, I don't have much interest in collecting somebody else's footprints! ;) That ain't NEAR as rewarding as collecting points in a virgin field.
dude had almost the exact same day accept i got really lucky and found a full plainview point and almost had a heart attack lol and im only 17 lol
