Basically how good a character performs. Usually against other human players in tourneys or the like. example; Bowser is considered low tier because his attacks are easy to dodge and he's slow. Shiek is considered high tier because her attacks are fast and good to combo together. :)

Perhaps it was slowed down a bit, that'll change once people get used to the characters and start L-cancelling, lol. Oh, and Fox was a Fast-faller, so they may have made him lighter in this game. Might be compensation for making him slower.

im glad this game slowed down from the previous installment 'cause u can tell that fox and link remain longer in midair during their midair jump in BRAWL than they did in MELEE! Also, Link and fox look better than ever!
