Wow awesome video so clear I want a nintendo 3DS so bad.I was wondering can u play games on the street pass application please some one tell me.and also can u make a video about the nintendo 3ds camera and sound application? Also is there pictochat on the 3ds?
@liltelah Thanks! Yes, there are two built-in games in StreetPass: Find Mii and Puzzle Swap. Every time you do StreetPass, you get another Mii to use in Find Mii to fight off ghosts, and you get another puzzle piece to complete a puzzle in Puzzle Swap. Or, you can spend two Play Coins to do those things if you don't do StreetPass.
@liltelah And no, you cannot make any videos yet... however, Nintendo has announced that they will release a future firmware update to record 3D videos, but we don't know when that will release. There is no Picto-Chat on the 3DS.
I tried it yesterday. F. U. N. I tried tricking it into going to the Home menu, but I couldn't do it. What I found to be really interesting with Pilot Wings was how your eyes could actually change focus depending if your looking at something close (like the person your flying) or something far (like scenery) It was amazing! Like real life. Check out my video of it. Click my name. Only video up there.
Whoa, you're at the home menu. The one I went didn't even do that, it was just the Pilotwings Resort demo. Oh, well, only 11 more days til' I finally get my hands on the 3DS.
@bluej70 Yea, it's supposed to be the Pilotwings Resort demo, but I held down some buttons and managed to boot up the Home menu. See my other comments for details on how.
did you know that you werent supposed to be able to go to the home menu but mine did the same this did and it let me in and i was happy the best buy guy there was sooo confused. lol
@fronkmonk Haha yup, I know. I did it anyway cause I wanted more to play around with. It can't hurt, it can only help when people get to try out more of the system.
@HAVortexDude i dont know what you did? how can i make it go to the home menu? plz respond that would be very helpful and i will sub if you answer me.
@fronkmonk What you do is turn the 3DS off by holding down the power button for a few seconds. Then, hold L+R+Start+Select, and then press the power button. That should bring up something that gives you two options (something about sleep mode) and at the bottom it'll say something like "Press the Home button to go to the Home menu". So then just press the Home button and there you go. It took me a few tries, but I got it eventually.
@HAVortexDude the 3ds i was trying wouldn't let me turn it off. when i tryed to, it said loading and went to pilotwings. i wasnt very happy at driving all the way to best buy( which is 12 miles away from where i live on false info that didnt work. im unsubing because of this....
@fronkmonk First off, no offense but I don't care about subscriptions. I do this stuff for fun. Second, there's nothing false about my information. It takes multiple tries to get it right. Both times I did it, it took me at least 10 tries to get it right. There is NO ONE that knows how to get it right on the first try exactly, but I can tell you for a fact that the method I posted works for me and it worked for multiple other people... it just takes practice doing over and over.
And also, if the demo was booting back up, the system was not turned off properly. You have to hold down the power button for a few seconds (like maybe 3 seconds)... don't just press it, and don't hold it down for a long time. Then, you hold the L+R+Start+Select buttons for like 3 seconds maybe, and then let go of them. Finally, press the power button quickly (don't hold, just press it). This method DOES work. I'm sorry if you wasted gas driving to Best Buy, but this method DOES work.
That's awesome about the Mii message you put in. We should get our readers to do that on as many demo units as possible. That way, every time someone passes one later, they'll get our URL in Street Pass.

@hattrick4nintendo Haha yup! Although I have a feeling it resets when they turn it off or something. But if not, then that should be nice. I'll definitely do that when I get a 3DS.

Is the game slot in the back of the device empty? If so, could I put a DS game in there and test the system's backwards compatibility?
RandomKid5198 11 months ago
@RandomKid5198
I think you can put DS games in it.
ReligiousHero 11 months ago
@RandomKid5198 No, it's covered up. You won't be able to put any games in there.
