  • Drag racing fail

  • That dude is my cousin. He ha multiple scirosis and grows really long black hair..

  • Ah I was looking forward to seeing a motorscooter chase the train into the tunnel.

  • It sounded like the NYCTA's R142A and R143 cars

  • Tell him thanks for making an otherwise ordinary scene interesting. It took me weeks to realize that he had a reason to go to the end of the platform to find the elevator. Without that knowledge the scene seemed highly incongruous.

  • Bart 1

    Scooter 0

  • bart vs scooter..bart wins

  • BART trains also sound very similar to WMATA 1000 series cars which were rebuilt by Breda, and LACMTA subway trains which were manufactured by Breda as well.

  • Actually, no. The Rohr cars used by BART were rebuilt with ADTranz/Bombardier 3-Phase Alternating Current (AC) Traction Motors, whereas, the Rohr cars used by WMATA (1000 Series) as well as the LACMTA A650 cars use General Electric (GE) Traction Motors.

  • The BART Trains sound like something out of a movie when they start accelerating.

  • i always get goosebumps when a bart train takes off. anyone know what motors these use?(this train in particular.)

  • Looks like this took place at the Lake Merritt Station.

  • no shit. maybe the "lake merritt" sign gave it away?

  • YOu're right it did. After it said 4 car train for fremont, it mentioned a Dublin/pleasanton train.

  • The BART train's traction motors sound similar to the NYC Transit Kawasaki R142A and R143 smart rail cars and MARTA Breda CQ312 cars.
