Actually, no. The Rohr cars used by BART were rebuilt with ADTranz/Bombardier 3-Phase Alternating Current (AC) Traction Motors, whereas, the Rohr cars used by WMATA (1000 Series) as well as the LACMTA A650 cars use General Electric (GE) Traction Motors.

The BART train's traction motors sound similar to the NYC Transit Kawasaki R142A and R143 smart rail cars and MARTA Breda CQ312 cars.
