im so glad pike got put in all the lakes in north idaho, i wish flathead catfish and blue cats would make their way too. im so tired of people catering to 10"fish ...what a joke. i wish fish and game would also plant food source minnoes like shad too. pike are great table fare though!

I hate pike, I grew up on the Hayden lake and it destroyed the other fish, back in 1994 when my family first moved onto the lake there was NO pike and I remember fishing off my dock and catching a bucket of perch, sun fish etc. When I finally left home in 2001 there was barely any of that around my dock. I curse who ever illegally put them in the lake.

@ProAnglers No it wont, pike lay millions of eggs and out of that hundreds survive. The only way to cure it is to poison the lake and start fresh with all new fish, even that wont get all the pike. BTW next time you on the lake go to the northern most part of the lake and you will see a big ass 3 story house. Its my parents house. Its got 4 retaining walls and a flag pole. I had such a glorious childhood. Your video brought back memories. Next time you have a tourny send me a message I may come.

@cwood4ever there's alot of ppl who feel the same way as you and it's always under the assumption that fish and game just doesn't care i have no problem catchin perch or sunfish on hayden fish it every week they plant at least a half million trout in there every year plus pike taste better than ne other fish in that lake pike eat alot but there not the devastating monster they get credit 4 being they just get a bad rap as an excuse for someones ability to fish

@parkerthapunisher23 Well sir I will tell you I was a great fisherman and like I stated I GREW UP ON THE LAKE. I could see off the fish off my dock, I am not trying to pull your leg I could see hundreds of fish. I could catch lots of fish. I grew up on the northern part of the lake. I was so good I could tell you where the bass, perch, trout, sun fish, crappie etc where. I used to be able to catch fish by the bucket in the mid to late 90s. @parkerthapunisher23 When I go back to visit my parents I look off my dock and i no longer see the fish that used to be. Why because in the late 90s some fool put a few pike in the lake and it has devastated the lake. I dont want to insult you but I know this lake like a child. I grew up on it and I fished it daily for many years. Some of my best memories as a child I owe to this lake. I remember catching pike for the first time and it was fun but then soon I caught more and more continued.....

@parkerthapunisher23 When I finally left home in 2001 I could see a major change now its horrible. My dad sent me a picture last January. Their neighbor went ice fishing in front of my parents dock and caught a gigantic pick. This thing was enormous it took 2 hands to hold it. Pick are destroying my lake and they are my enemy, if I ever make millions which I doubt I will, but if I did I would move back to Hayden run for mayor and destroy the pike. Even if I had to pay out of pocket.
