Ignatieff has been caught in out and out lies. He pretends his parents were poor immigrants, which contradicts what his own book says. Also from hiw own writing, "Somewhere inside I'm also what Ukrainians would call a great Russian and there is just a trace of Russian disdain for these little Russians." Not a great Canadian, but a great Russian. He also calls the Ukrainians "nasty anti-Semites" when his own family passed legislation in Russia that severely restricted the Jews.

The worst part of all this is that Ignatieff is still by far the ebst possible candidate for the liberals. Jean Chretien said things much worse, communist leaning worse.
