  • I really fell in love with this song! <3

    But there's something quiet weird...

Who's singing this song? It somehow sounds like Brian, but sometimes it could be Freddie as well... Could someone help me please? :-S

    Thank you :D

  • @kuchn95 Its Freddie.

  • @AliceInWonderland85 Thank you!

I was abolutely mystified. The mystery is solved! ;-)

  • sometimes i forget freddie really is dead.He didnt have to die

  • What a magnificent Lullaby written by Dr. May, Queen the greatest pop music act of all time.

  • Magnifico :)

  • Brian May: the wonderful, talented man who wrote this lovely song. My favourite Queen member with an amazing guitar and even better hair. To this day, he keeps Queen alive alongside Roger Taylor; both deserve to be knighted for all their efforts. Brian has written some of my favourite Queen songs (this, Long Away, Who Wants To Live Forever, Sweet Lady, the list goes on).

In celebration of Dr. May's achievements, I want to wish him a very happy 64th birthday today, and may God bless him.

  • @sugarbabe37

Sweet lady is one of Queens worst songs..the lyrics are banal and it's completely devoid of a recognisable melody or tune.

  • I actually always thought of this as a ya know sleepytime serenade for my kids one day..............ahem I'm 42 now no children and I always actually thought of this as a sleepy time serenade for my kids

  • HOLY SHIT! NO DISLIKKKEEESSS?? This is REALLY AWESOME !!!! May Queen's music live for ever!

  • it's like "Dear Friend" written by paul mccartney: just piano and voice, the only difference is that paul wrote this song for john lennon...

  • @TheBeatles95here i miss john lennon.... hes awsome! he should have never ever been shot! pauls the best! hes soooo cute!

  • @paulmccartneyishot

John should never have been shot?

Well no shit sherlock..who'd have thunk it?

  • @TheBeatles95here Roger Taylor wrote " Old friends" for Freddie =)

  • @TheJumpyPopcorn i mean paul mccartney's song, not this one

  • @TheBeatles95here I know, I was simply saying that just like Paul wrote " Dear Friend" for John, Roger wrote " Old friends" for Freddie.

  • @TheJumpyPopcorn

    " Old " Friends ?

  • @QueenReigns1 yes, Old Friends...

  • Love you Freddie.

  • cheers freddie darling i will always love you!!

  • Death is a strange thing. You see those photos in a time where they didn't knew that Freddie would die in 91, a time when they were happy. Death is strange for everyone, they will never hear his voice again, never feel his happiness or see him smile. This feeling happens when I see Beatles too, a time when they were happy and they never saw that.

  • Please play this on my death-bed.

  • so soothing...

  • simple the greatest... they wrote the soundtrack to my life...

  • Queen where famous (and still are) cause they are genially good, great singer and great musicians and that's why they will go down in history.

  • makes me cry

  • my dad used to sing this to me when i was a kid everynight before i went to sleep :)

    love this song

  • anybody notice how Freddie liked to use the phrases "the wind must blow" or sayings similar to that?

maybe they have a central meaning even beyond that of the main meanings he had hidden in his songs....

    anyways great song

  • @PonyboyPlusJane

Well actually this song was written by Brian...

  • 0:46

    nice =)

  • Brian is an awesome composer! Just as good as Freddie :) This song virtually makes me cry.

  • this is the favourite song of george michael

  • when I have one child, I put this song like a lullbaby :D I love it!

(sorry for my bad english :( )

  • My mom used to play this song and love of my life for me as a lullaby when i was little... ooh freddie <3

  • there are no words. sooo beautiful I could cry. Thank you for this vid.

  • @0.51 Oh, my goodness, what a lovely image I see... Ladies and gentlemen, there you all have it: the majestic profile of a true King!

  • @MercurysGirl Your comment is perfect. Profile of a true King! perfectly stated.

  • Freddie is simply ehte greatest singer of all the times

  • oh my fucking god... goosebumps

    **shivers**

    WOW

  • Freddie simply perfect. The choirs simply perfect. Queen. Nothing else. A perfect song, and probably a better voice.

  • Freddie is the BEST! I love him as you can see in my username ;) this song is lovely =D

    With Love, Victoria....

  • @Shepsekaf 'The choirs'? You do realise the backings in this song is just Brian's voice recorded with multiple harmonies? And all other Queen songs are purely them recording their voices multiple times with different harmonies. That's what separates Queen from everyone else. They are musical geniuses!

  • @ClassicRockTeen1995 For me the choirs means "the rear part of the vocals" clearly recorded by Queen. I was not talking about a Choir like "gospel choir".Thanks for your opinion. pd:not all other,my friend! at least in "let me live" we have some other people in the chorus.

  • @Shepsekaf Yes with the exception of 'Let Me Live' and 'Teo Torriatte' the backing is all Queen I think that's it. I might have missed some out but I was born in 1995 and am still yet to discover all of Queen's masterpieces. Feel free to correct me :)

  • i love this song. so amazing, so many emotions in only one minute and six seconds.

one question: WHERE DID YOU GET THE PICTURE AT 0:48 OF BRIAN??

  • Sorry i don't remember :(

  • @floydordie Do a screencap!

  • I think you can find that picture of Brian on Queenzone.

  • thank you

  • No problem.

  • my dad used to sing me to sleep with the second ha;f of this song when i was like 5

    love this song

  • Sometimes i listen this song before sleep ... works good :)

  • OMG!!! Roger looks soooo hot 0:37 i want that picture soooo bad!!!!!

    Love You Roger!!!!

  • Wow. This song is so emotional. Queen hands down, best band. Ever.

  • That song has help me througt my bad time. I wanna thank all the members of queen. inclusief Freddie.. I have respect for them ! <3

  • I cry to this all of the time when I'm feeling down. This gives me much hope. Thank you Freddie for bein there.

  • Perfect, Freddie is just brilliant and Queen were the best.

  • One of the Best?.. No.. He was the best there ever will be.. End of story...

  • too beautiful, i hope you wanted to say

  • too short

  • Sometimes less is more. :)

  • Freddie sings this fabulously, but I really wish Brian had sung it.

  • Unfortunately, Brian was very, very ill during the period of time when Queen was working on Sheer Heart Attack, first with Hepatitis from an infected vaccination and then with an ulcer. Much of the album was worked on without him, and he was able to fill in bits of guitar and backing vocals whenever he felt up to it.

  • My Guitars signed by brian may :)

  • so is my dads guitar n tshirt :)

  • yeah that's right. i read somewhere that sometimes he was worried they might replace him? lol how?

i often wondered if he wrote this with this in mind? it seems a very emotional want to go to sleep and wake with no more sadness...must have been a shit of a time for the guy.....

but a beautiful song...I listened on headphones...Mercury felt like he was in my head, heart and soul....

  • gets right down to th heart

  • merci !! ta vidéo est vraiment bien. où as-tu trouvé de telles photos?!!!

  • what a great song!

  • freddy mercury was one of the best singers in the world!

  • The harmonies in this song are stunning! Miss you Freddie!!

  • Such a lovley song going to put my children to sleep with it.

  • Happy birthday Freddie!

You were the man and then some.

  • we played this song at my sister's funeral......she too was an avid Queen fan

  • i wish this song was longer

  • We miss you so much Freddie.

  • this song is pretty but it doesnt sound like its finished. weird

  • why...coz it's short?...Freddie done a few short songs...this one...Nevermore, Lily Of The Valley

  • It was written by Brian May, not by Mercury.

  • wot was written by Brian?

  • it was written by john deacon not brian may

  • It was written by Brian May, not Freddie Mercury or John Deacon. (Not even Roger Taylor:))

  • Brian also plays the piano in this song.

  • Comment removed

  • This was written by Brian. Misfire was written by John. Misfire was John's first song on a Queen album.

  • looove it

  • Bye bye lover.

  • Makes me want to stand up and salute whenever I hear it,this would be a perfect anthem.

  • I love this song!
