WOW MAN! I remember this after waiting so long for the thing to load up at my friends house! Thanks for re creating it - this and SF2 from a few years later are my favs! All the best
Anyone know how to disable song looping in FT2? I have a couple mods I want to play without them looping as they have additional patterns not found in the loop.
Hey man ! One of may favourites ! Beautyfull music from magic years ! I love C64 ! I remember my room, this music, lighs off and listening and listening...10x for sharing !
This remake is awesome, I had this originally on the Speccy 128K and immediately fell in love with it a great tune. Many years later I heard the C64 SID version and that was equally as good if not better and then one the original B&W Nintendo Game Boy. You have done a fantastic job recreating this and grabbing the original SID samples, this sounds awesome and brings back so many memories. It was also featured in the Ariston Washing Machine TV advert here in the UK. Link: watch?v=YUVs7vXNZiw
What a great remake. I could listen to this allday every day. It just does something for me which I can't put into words. This may sound weird but I'd like to play the original at my funeral. Almost makes me happy and sad at the same time. Viva la C64
One of the greatest C64 tunes ever produced :) I was about 14 when i first heard it back in 1988 (i think it was released in that year) and it resonated with me for many years after!
I never forgot it but wanted to hear it again, and this mix is nicely executed whilst retaining the original feel almost to a tee :)
@manns101101 Isn't it funny how we were all about the same age loving it at the same time back in 1988 when Computing was such a niche thing to do and reading all those letters in magazines like Zzap64 or ACE :) Now we read comments on YouTube and perhaps "you" or some other guy were the same guys for whom letters i read way back then. I am glad you share the same sentiment :)
@blade004 EXACTLY! I was 8 in 1988 and used to go over to my mates house to play this on the weekends. We used to sit there waiting for the tape to load up for ages! So strange to see how far we've come. And also so weird that somehow we've all come across this video again somehow, and are reunited once more as computer game players! I actually searched for it once day thinking it'd never be here, but there ya go! All the best my friend...

did you draw the samples? also. Where's the source material? (the module)
Elrinth 1 year ago
@Elrinth I sampled single sounds from the SID chip, then I recreated the song by ear from scratch.

One of the songs off the new Kings of Leon album sounds remarkably similar to this old tune:

Call me weird, but I get kicks from just looking at the waveform of those sid sounds. Let alone listening to them. Nice work :)

Oh man, almost perfect, ease up on the note cut off's on the lead, let it flow about 10 more notes down and it's perfect 9/10 !

Thanks :) I used to be very meticulous when doing these tracks. I had lots of spare time to get them as accurate as possible.

This sounds pretty much exactly like the C64 version itself, and what an arrangement it is! Excellent work!
